This is literally a perfect interview. Iverson was open and honest, the journalist did not say um or struggle. Legit best interview ever.
Absolutely. It starts with AI being *REAL* . Real as it gets. And then the interviewer did it right.
This is one player where you wished he would've got a ring 😔 #A.I.salute
Yea @ lease 1💯💯
AI is the Carmelo Anthony of his era, except he had heart

@@TekkLuthor Carmelo is the A.I of this era but without heart

Way to go Complex - this interviewer gets it. He’s smooth, knowledgable, & asked all the correct questions
This was incredibly good
I definitely agree.. it was real fluid
AGREED. I enjoyed that b.
Hat tip to the interviewer. He definitely got it right with this one.
Right and didnt ask questions like what was it like to cross jordan lol . but what about practice ?
The interviewer Speedy Morman has the perfect balance of a flattered fan and a professional, asking all the right questions with the perfect amount of enthusiasm to the legend A.I.
I agree!
Facts, he did a great job
Because he black
Thought he's George hill lol
His Reebok sneakers are highly underestimated, incredible quality and comfort .
All I wear is answer shoes
@Jamal Vines how
@Jamal Vines fool you crazy af his shoes were were top quality
@Jamal Vines nigga I wear iverson cuz everyone wear fuckin Jordan's n kayne's n LeBron n all other types of shoes I'm not kid bruh
That's cool and all but these shoes are ugly as hell.
Soooo happy he acknowledge the "bums" on the team. I hate when critics act like they didn't work hard to get there.
like SAS lol...Whenever I go to an NBA game I usually go early to see them warm up. Last man on the bench will hit 10 shots in a row like it aint nothin. Just to make it to the league is damn near impossible never mind actually sticking around for years.
@@ReallyOneOfThem I mean Scalebrine fucks up average joes and college players all day.
Exactly. I have nothing but respect for these professional athletes. These guys are on the team for a reason. They can come give guys at your local rec center the business
@@kevinflowers463 So true... I seen a 40 year old KG up here in a pre-season game in Ottawa Canada drain eight deep two's in a row, all rain-drop-swishes (none touching the rim) in warm ups- this guy came straight outta high school to.

The competitor in MJ lowkey loves the fact that Iverson has no remorse for that crossover....its called respect
MJ said he almost cried during AI's documentary and said, "He loves that little guy". MJ respects killers (in the basketball sense), MJ respects the guy coming at your neck, going for the Kill all game long, and willing to leave his whole life on the floor, AI was of that ilk, like Magic, Bird and Kobe, all assassins, all killers.

That dude is a great interviewer. Respect and salute for this awesome 24 mins of conversation
“I was gonna try my move on the best...he was just a victim that night” 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥💯💯💯 🐐
Iverson has one of the smartest endorsement deals ever made which pretty much promises him $800k a /year from Reebok FOR LIFE and after 55yrs he will get 32m's thats crazy.
He must've had the worlds best manager or some shit lol. Many people seem to overlook the impact he had on the culture NBA & Hip Hop.
They did that cause he can't budget haha - He's still the greatest tho
I know the reporter who did the netflix documentary on him. And yes his manager was smart as hell! He purposely set up his kontract this way so he wouldn't bekome another blak athlete who's force to retire and end up bekoming broke!
This is when I was all in basketball. He seemed like the only real person in the league. After him, I stopped watching. Great player, good times.
his agent deserves props
Life YahFavortieRappersFavortiteRapper he's got God looking out for him...he's so real though u can't help but love him
Most hated and uncelebrated player in history. The refs were against him. The league and hundreds of players. He is still a champion in my book.
Love to hear him speak. So honest and humble and REAL!
the refs gave him more fake foul calls then almost anyone and refused to call carry and palming against them.
A.I what could've been of em.
Players didnt dislike Iverson. I never heard Kobe, Shaq, Lebron, Carmelo, Wade, etc say anything bad about Iverson. He was an icon, all the fans had love for Iverson.
Real talk bro I’m go a step further in my opinion Allen was better then Kobe in my book fam
The early 2000s NBA was legendary fareal
F McLaren are you fucking stupid yes!
@@biggarah11 you must be a kid. The early 2000s was one of the worse periods in the NBA post 1970s. Terrible teams, boring one on one basketball, and a bunch of Euro stiffs being drafted at the top of the lottery. There were some great players but overall the league was hurting.
Israel Rosario Jr. commercially it wasn't doing good with the mainstream media but I think he meant the culture and the time, It was really great being a fan back then now there's so many casual fans and fake fans, back then only basketball fans watched basketball. But you can't call it boring there were a bunch of young iconic stars that came along with that era no one had seen an Allen Iverson before, Vince Carter dunking antics along with TMAC and Kobe , Kidd and Nash playmaking skills, The PF of early 00's, Shaq blah blah I'm getting off the subway now lol cya
@@myd0ugie commercially it wasn't doing well because the teams were terrible outside of the early 00's Lakers and a small handful of others like the Kings, Mavs, Spurs (who were boring), Nets etc. And, yes, I did say that there were some good young stars but overall there weren't enough of them to make up for the poor style of play and the bad teams everywhere. Everybody was trying to be an MJ rip off. I personally enjoyed it because I'm a basketball fan and fan of the NBA but it was a low period overall compared to the 80s, 90s and where we are now...even though I'm not crazy about the new rules in today's NBA. I just don't want us to overstate it by saying it was a legendary time when it wasn't. A lot of terrible basketball.
@@myd0ugie I liked 90s to 2010 era personally maybe even to 2012.
Much love and respect for one of the best ever. Dude was a stone cold savage on the court. Of the court, one of the most loving, passionate, and loyal people ever. I absolutely LOVE Allen Iverson. Real ass dude.

That story where AI said he jumped on Shaq going for a dunk and Shaq took him up with him and still threw it down, then Kobe said to AI "are you trying to die" 😂😭😂😭

Kobe - Pharrell I was watching that game and remember it vividly.
Anyone have vid?

@@lllMPower Ask pennyccw. I vividly remember the game because the commentator said "Iverson looked like a flea on the back of a elephant" lmao
He is the culture straight trendsetter
Dj Omega Red is* the culture.. all the athletes today (nba, nfl, mlb) following AI trend. And I’m not sure that they’re even aware he’s the reason behind the look
He brought the so called culture to the main stream. Might have set your trends but that was just street shit.
MackinShizzaveli he brought way more than street culture to the spotlight he brought individualism and self expression to the forefront no matter how he chose to express that he went against the grain so players today can be more self expressive and not get fined for it.
804ShowTime very true
Dj Omega Red lol white people really hate to see black people enjoying life... I’m still not over how blatantly racist that NBA dress code was...
This guy went to bethel high school in my district. I knew him from football, he was insane. I heard there was a time he threw a TD, ran a TD, caught a TD and returned a TD all in one game. I had no idea he even played basketball until he got into trouble at a bowling alley before college and they talked about losing much of his basketball scholarships opportunities.

“They shook the tree and the mamba fell out.” 💎🔥
Such an incredible Kobe story. #legendary
Unbelievable quote
@GPLOCK it's an expression. Kobe was named the black mamba in his playing days, known for his fierce competitiveness. Black mamba snakes are one of the deadliest poisonous snakes in the world. When Kenyon Martin was talking trash to him he was having a mediocre night, but he essentially wakened the beast inside him and destroyed them scoring 49 points.
pogiazz1 not true Kobe scored over 20 in the 1st so he started hot, it was game 1 where Kobe went I think 10 for 30 then the media was like Kenyon can guard Kobe then he score 49 with 10 assists the next game and torched him the rest of the series
@@sspahspecializedsmartphone5825 I'm just going by AI's story. I'm assuming this was game 1 going into game 2 in 2008 WCFs
AI is the realest. One of the GOATs. My favorite player growing up.
Crossover king 👑
Queensbridge Militia that's Tim hardaway
Tim hardaway =cross over king
Tim Hardaway and it ain't even close.
They even had a jadakiss commercial w/A.I that was a classic about his crossover 🏀
The R. not kyrie?!
The thing that caught my attention is the fact that HE KNOWS that he would never be the NBA logo . The NBA and David Stern hated him as much as it gets . He changed the culture , he was rocking way bigger jerseys , he had tattoos all over him and he was real , which is the thing that pissed the NBA the most . He knows that David Stern didn't like him and probably still doesn't and i'm happy for the fact that he scared the shit outta him in the Finals against the Lakers cause the NBA wanted the Lakers to win and A.I. challenged the fuck outta them . Respect for imo being the best and realest player of all time 👏
Word!!!
The. Best player pound for pound. Not enough respect for him at all. Remember all them Big East battles with him an Ray Allen. Basketball is not the same witout him or big east. Easily my favorite player all ♥. We talking bout practice! Dam he showed up on game day all heart. Love watching him play. Just gritty, fasf, and rutless on the court fuck any haters this dude was the real deal. God dam he made me have goosebumps when he played. He ain't broke you all are broke. Don't hate just give it up for once. Dame he could play football to. God gifted talent. He had what you can't teach heart and a will not to lose. The best ever to me.

Word. But the sixers never presented a challenge to the Lakers. That finals game 1 was a close one but AI was clearly overwhelmed as the sixers had just Dikembe Mutumbo to support him. The Lakers literally won the next four straight.
Pound for pound best player ever. Played his heart out EVERY game.
He legitimately seems so down to earth compared to other NBA all-star caliber players. I love this dude. He's a true legend.
I saw Allen Iverson play in his last two high school basketball games, during his junior year. But the first time I heard about him was when he was a 10th-grader, back when
USA Today used to report daily on high school sports from every state. I remember reading that Allen Iverson, a sophomore, intercepted 13 passes this year and made first-team All-State. Allen Iverson was incredible playing for Bethel High.
A.I.'s heart was huge in stature, to an already monstrous NBA superstar. There will never be another. ❤ #3 !!!

Before AI nobody brought their kids to the press conference. He was the first athlete I seen do that in 2000-01’
brkjeff I think he was also the one that popularize wearing two earrings for straight men.
Jordan sat there many of times w/wife kids...Especially after championships
XJ9000 X I’ve never seen Jordan at that table answering questions with his kids. If you’re telling the truth then I stand corrected. I never seen it though.
XJ9000 X I’m not talking about after winning a chip when everybody is with their family. I’m talking about the trend you now see with athletes (especially NBA players) bringing kids to the press conference. After they shower & change, before they leave they go in the press room with kids.
