I was a student of Chet's for a few years long ago in my teens, just casual. He is every bit as unbelievably talented as you might discern from these songs. Very cool dude!
Possibly one of the best guitar solos ever. Every guitar trick ever invented is used in this one solo. Not to mention the variety of licks and killer tone, just fucking amazing. A guitar god for sure, just makes it look so easy.
Killer guitar solo in this song. Chet is an amazing guitarist. I was so fortunate to have studied under the lineage of the Randy Rhoads school of playing, Chet was an incredible instructor.

Oh I remember these guys. They used to play the So Cal clubs in the early 80's. I think it was the same singer but with all different guys. She had a more down to earth look in those days.
Ann Boleyn is one of the best metal singers (male and female included). But Hellion weren't getting a big enough record deal with a girl singing, so they got Mandy Lion and World War III was formed. Then Mandy replaced the Hellion guys with the Dio guys (Jimmy, Vinny, and Tracy) and thats all you hear about when Mandy is interviewed-- he never even mentions Chet Thompson! Ann Boleyn gets dissed all the time, too, and is oddly missing from the Dio tributes. The music biz shit on Ann & Chet.

@Kamd21 He was Randy's favorite student and when Randy left to go play with Ozzy Chet took over for Randy teaching at his mothers music school.
