Nice job! Your addition is a nice enhancement. I wasn't as particular as you were and installed my first set crooked. The driver's side was spot-on, but the passenger side was off, which drove me nuts so I peeled it off. It ruined the plate, as you indicated would happen, as it bent in a couple of places and the glue was no longer as sticky as it was originally. I ended up getting another set and haven't mustered the courage to install them yet, but your video gave me some great ideas. Only, I don't have side steps, so I'll have to find another method of establishing a common anchor point from front to back. Thanks for sharing your experience. Very useful information!

Love your process, I wish I used the same degree of precision you did when I applied mine. Unfortunately, these do scratch very easily to the point where I avoid stepping on them now. Thus, defeating their purpose. If I could do it over again, I probably would have just used some PPF or clear 3M tape as you mentioned to the sill instead of these plates.

Thank you! Lol same, I've just kind of adjusted myself to using the step instead. They look really cool though, so I'm still thinking about putting 3M right over the sills so I can step on them if needed.
