The Space Sharks are my personal favorite chapter after the Black Templars. Also the Thumbnail alone, a Carcharodon wielding a Blue Trident and having a a color palette of a certain blue shark girl whos hiding underneath that terminator armor.
So I know a lot of people like the Carchorodons because of how dark & spooky & broody they are, but they’re also Polynesian, & as a Polynesian who actually grew up in the islands, I imagine them all with thick FOB accents & with Poly Reggae softly playing in the background on their ships, & it makes them hilarious. In my minds ear Bael Shaar’s line “Praise the void father, the red Ty the has begun” in the book ‘Red Tythe” sounded like “Press ta void fada, ta red tyte has pekun”
These guys bring to mind the rokea weresharks from the World of Darkness franchise. Weresharks are such a badass and underused archetype. I know these guys aren't actually weresharks but meh, close enough.
You have chapters like this, the lamenters, potentially the firehawks who have legitimate grievances, suffered unimaginable suffering or literal hell and remain loyal over millennia. And then you have half the original legions turning traitor because daddy didn’t tuck them in at night…
I'm with you, except I feel a hybrid though I'm not sure what legion the NL are mixed with.....though an interesting and not considered option would be the Salamanders, who bring the size and power to the speed and hunting style of Curze's boys. That or the NL geneseed mutated to produce the Sharks. Cheers.
@@jameswatkins5483Weren’t the Space Sharks also part of the cursed founding? Those boys were filled with mutations like this. Remember, pale isn’t the only odd thing about them.
I'd like to think they have chimaeric geneseed, predominantly Night Lord but mixed with World Eater. The carcharadons have been shown on occassion to have that intense sort of bloodlust uncharacteristic of even the Night Lords, and out of all the traitor legions the World Eaters had the most loyalists. Makes me wonder where they went, y'know?
My favorite chapter! Let's goooooo! My Sea of thieves ships are named after Warhammer chapters, my brig is the red wake, my sloop is the celestial lion and my galleon...is the rylenors conviction, he has never been sunk..
In my head-canon these guys are the perfect blend of raven guard and world eaters with a little bit of night lord sprinkled on top. But no joke Tyberos is a beast. I also love the fact that they don't say shit. Just enter the battlefield, kills the enemy, leaves without a word. I think the only time they speak if I'm correct is when they ask for supplies.
I really love your videos! Now that you've made a video about the Carcharodons, I would love if someday you could make a video about another Badab War chapter, the Minotaurs. It's my favourite chapter, and the one I'm playing in the tabletop.
Only just started a carcarahdons army after reading the red tithe book. I'm actually shocked I never found out about this chapter soon as the great white is my spirit animal so this chapter made sense to me.
ive felt in love with space sharks when i first started 40k, now im painting my space sharks colour scheme into dark angels, its sad that tyberos isnt in the 10th edition.
As a long time fan of WH40K, I can say that they are and have been a mystery from the very beginning. As the years go by and bits and pieces of information come out and are verified by GW, I still hold on to the line of thinking that they are a mixture of different loyal legions. Raven Guard, Night Lords, World Eaters. They have too many underlying characteristics to be from just one Legion. At least their traditions are a blend of multiple Legions. We also must remember that during the Heresy, not all Traitorous Legions had 100% Traitorous members and those Loyal members where cast to the wind and some of them found new homes. Why couldn't the Carcharodons be just that, a mixture of loyal Legionaires banding together to fight for the Imperium they love and an enemy they hate...
I have a crazy theory that the space sharks are the gene seed of one of the lost primarchs, a shark man primarch is too cool to not be a thing, his name was probably Megalodonus Jaw or something on the nose, just a thought
I'm not sure if I posted it here but I've been on a quest to get all of my favourite lore channels to cover the Carcharadons. So thank you, whether it was becausebof my request or you just like covering awesome subjects in your content.

Absolute Perfection! You have outdone yourself this time Master !!!🦈🦈🦈
5:06 Twice as tall as the marine he just chopped an arm off, haha. Great video!
Hell yeah. Love the Shark bois! Fantastic job as usual!
When the Night Lords captured Deamon says “your brothers are coming” instead of “your cousins are coming”….
Polynesians? Source? Pretty sure they don’t exist anymore..humans so mixed at this point what ethnicity even exists?
Last book I read of theirs had ‘em assault a pleasure craft being invade by Dark Eldar, while on surfboards.
Genus name for Great White Sharks. Excellent.
Favorite chapter of all time
These guys bring to mind the rokea weresharks from the World of Darkness franchise.
Chapters that were born from a grouping led by a marine that had the balls to not be on the same page as their primarch are some of the best.
My favorite Chapter without question. I even wrote my own, Void Brother Tumatawenga.
Love the Gawr Gura reference on one of its artwork
Awesome video, as a Carcharodon player I csn attest this totally abraces the feel and mindset of them.
Do hope GW will return them!
I can never shake the theory that this chapter is actually a group of Loyalist Night Lords
Cheers.
I always assume their a RG/NL hybrid due to their skin color....all RGs are pale and the only.NLs who were pale were from nocturno
@@inwit594 The majority were destroyed at Istavan, Angron also made it a point to hunt his loyalist sons down, so likely not a lot of them left.
My favorite chapter! Let's goooooo! My Sea of thieves ships are named after Warhammer chapters, my brig is the red wake, my sloop is the celestial lion and my galleon...is the rylenors conviction, he has never been sunk..
Only recently found out about them so your video makes me like them more
This guys just make me wanna come up with my own chapter of marines
Glorious video, Minotaurs next please!
It's my head canon that these are the descendants of the Teran born Raven Guard that Corvus exiled during the Great Crusade.
I really love your videos! Now that you've made a video about the Carcharodons, I would love if someday you could make a video about another Badab War chapter, the Minotaurs. It's my favourite chapter, and the one I'm playing in the tabletop.
In the fantastic words of A VOX IN THE VOID:
"Eudipidies I have seen this before! The skies, the space sharks come from the skies WE HAVE TO GO!"
Oh my god imagine abandon vs tyberos now that is a fight I would pay to see
Only just started a carcarahdons army after reading the red tithe book. I'm actually shocked I never found out about this chapter soon as the great white is my spirit animal so this chapter made sense to me.
I love this chapter.
They were able to do something incredible.
They were able to break a Dark Eldar Utak, Totally mental breakdown.
ive felt in love with space sharks when i first started 40k, now im painting my space sharks colour scheme into dark angels, its sad that tyberos isnt in the 10th edition.
FOR THE VOID FATHER
Easily my favourite Chapter of all time.
Well Said💪
thumbnail art is gawr gura as carcharodon terminaror and the artist is Sgt-lonely
Thank goodness I wasn't the only one
I hope this is really good this is my favorite legion
Good to see the silent murder sharks getting some love.
I have been wondering about the Carcharadons. I thank you and the Light of the Emperor for this transmission.
Imagine being the psyker tasked to probe him, and you accidentally piss the primach sized tyberos off
I have a crazy theory that the space sharks are the gene seed of one of the lost primarchs, a shark man primarch is too cool to not be a thing, his name was probably Megalodonus Jaw or something on the nose, just a thought
I like no one has pointed out the thumbmail is a fan art of a Vtuber named Gawr Gura but designed as a Terminator even down to Bloop as a servo skull
I'm not sure if I posted it here but I've been on a quest to get all of my favourite lore channels to cover the Carcharadons.
So thank you, whether it was becausebof my request or you just like covering awesome subjects in your content.
Best carcharadons video to date
woohoo! my favorite chapter 🦈
It is now my headcannon that all Carcharodons talk like Dark Elves from Morrowind
Awesome work as always Remembrancer.
MY FAVORITE ASTARTES CHAPTER AS A NEW WARHAMMER FAN SO FAR
Thank you!
If you haven't already, could you make a video about Tome Keepers? Or some salamanders successor?
