Thank you Nuno, Gary and Extreme for keeping =VH= music alive! LONG LIVE KING EDWARD! (His 4 year anniversary is coming up in 2 days Oct 6, 2024). ❤🖤🤍🎸🐝👑 Nuno, I hope your knee gets to feeling better at some point!
Absolutely crushed that song !!!! Thank you to whomever videos it !!!! Thank you Thank-you!!! Nuno just does what he does to keep EVH alive in our hearts !!! The vocals !!!! Gary sounds like he did when he was in VH3 !!!!!
My favorite band covering my prior favorite band! Nuno goes off .. the greatest living guitarist paying homage to the greatest ever! My Gawd they nailed it! Thanks for posting
It was great that they did it the 28th, great song, great performance, and remembering Eddie, today was the day he went, will be missed always! Thanks Extreme, Thanks Nuno
Extreme delivered on this!!! I've said it before and I'll say it again - Gary had perhaps the most vocal talent in Van Halen. He was fantastic. Van Halen III was poorly produced and his vocals sounded off. But yeah, he delivers here and what else can you say about Nuno. He's fantastic. I'm glad he sees carrying Ed's legacy and influence as a responsibility. That's a big mantle and he was so good on this. I love it.
If the next Extreme album was all DLR era Van Halen covers, I would buy that in a heartbeat. No questions asked, no reading some review by some rando hater on the internet, I would just buy it, and listen to it . The whole thing, not just the songs that made it to the top 10. Like we used to do in the 70s, 80s and 90s.
Fuckin Nuno man!! He does Eddie tribute justice! Great, great version. Not many can cover Eddie, AND put thier own flavor on it without ruining it. Also LOVE the vocal harmonies, NICE!!
Lots of love here for Gary and Nino but let’s not forget, Pat Badger is a monster holding it down! Imo, he’s as good on bass as Nuno on guitar. Who was drumming for this tour?
Gary does Van Halen songs better than he does Extreme songs. Haven't gotten a chance to see them yet, but Extreme is still massively underrated as a band. So many of those songs are fantastic for reasons relating to every member.
At the 37 mark is where Nuno says he can't play the intro for those who said why he didn't or he could. ruclips.net/video/Z8f6NYg16F0/видео.htmlsi=8ye30zRN1DOEJGDv
I went and saw Completely Unchained September 6th For My Birthday. All Roth Material. None of that Sammy Crapola. They were Awesome. 2nd time seeing them. Look them up Fonzie, There Constantly Touring. AYYYY
What show did you go to? I've only read and heard positive reviews. The STL show was a blast! I definitely would have preferred more DLR Era songs, but gotta take what ya can get! And Joe did a fantastic job!!
From all reports and people who went to see Sammy and the Circle with Satch have said they are brilliant. We should enjoy these guys all playing VH instead of being keyboard critics who can't play three notes.
No shot at Joe. It was the intro that Joe struggled with. Nuno didn't play that (at least not in this clip). Nuno could probably do a better job at it, because he was obsessed with and studied Ed's stuff far more closely than Joe did.
Fuck me! All 4 are grooving to this. Love it!! I think if Alex put on an Eddie tribute show the way Queen did for Freddie, Extreme would once again steal the show.
Thank you Nuno, Gary and Extreme for keeping =VH= music alive!

I think he actually sounds better here, he sounded a bit rough on vh3 imo
Outstanding job. Extreme for performing Van Halen's most beloved tunes from my youth!!! A joy to watch you perform!! Outstanding job!!
Nuno is the guitar hero we all need.
My favorite band covering my prior favorite band! Nuno goes off .. the greatest living guitarist paying homage to the greatest ever! My Gawd they nailed it! Thanks for posting
Thank you Gary and Mr Bettencourt
Amazing!
Great job guys! Eddie would be proud. 👏
I was there! Extreme is the greatest live rock band on earth right now
huge call
absolutely love these guys 🤘🤘
It was great that they did it the 28th, great song, great performance, and remembering Eddie, today was the day he went, will be missed always! Thanks Extreme, Thanks Nuno
Awesome. They've been doing this in there sound checks from when this tour started last year.
They had it in the set six years ago. There’s a video on RUclips. Edit : and another one from 2009.
Saw Cherone sing this with VH in ‘98.
Eddie chose him to be the frontman for Van Halen for the Van Halen 3 album when everyone was begging for David Lee Roth back
You're kidding me, awesome!

Was so disappointed Gary didn’t work out with VH, in theory he was just perfect for them
Nice job guys! Love it

I personally thought that Gary was great in Van Halen. He did well with all songs and allowed the band to finally play some deeper Roth era tracks.
Fuckin Nuno man!! He does Eddie tribute justice! Great, great version. Not many can cover Eddie, AND put thier own flavor on it without ruining it. Also LOVE the vocal harmonies, NICE!!
Cover kings, great job boys.Nothing will ever top the Freddy mercury tribute.Killed that day❤
Nuno has the best ed sound hands down! I think Hagar hired the wrong guitar player for his tribute gig.
Excellent cover of the Van Halen 'classic'... \m/
Killer ending
FINALLY! extreme covers a VH track! what happened to nunos knee?
Come on Nuno, play the intro!
Great cover. Where's the intro, Nuno?
He did a small piece of it on their cover of “ain’t talkin bout love”
Great cover, I still miss Edward Van Halen
we all do, A-leaguer
The World, as I once knew it, is a lot less "cooler"...without Edward in it.
@@eddiesuthers927same thing with Dime

👌💯
"Turns you from hunted into hunter"
Yeah I caught that too.
Nuno does a good job here...👍👍
Please come to Detroit!!!
Ooh...so Nuno didn't say he would play Mean Street when "others" struggled...he just played it 😂🙌🔥🎸🎸🎸 yeaaaaah
Not the hardest part of the song. As VH songs go most of Mean street isnt all that difficult. The beginning though is a different animal.......
Nuno didn't play the very beginning of the song on the fret board!!
Saw these guys live 30 odd years back. They look a little more road worn these days but if you close your eyes they've not aged a day.
Where was the intro?
ゲイリーの歌うMean Street が大好きです。
What happened to the intro?

Yes,it does need the intro but to be fair it really is extremely hard to play.im sure nuno could .
I was at this show, he actually played the intro earlier while noodling around before playing another song, so he hinted at it.
@@ajvass96 yes.i think I’ve seen him play it before.i know he sees it as hallowed ground.lucky you being able to see them 👍
Who's the Sam Kinison looking dude on bass?
It's the original bass player Pat Badger, he's been back with the band since 2007.
Gary should do the "new" Dave for one song 😂😂🤣
Great cover. I would love for Gary to start singing more instead of shouting so much. Nuno is a true guitar legend. Always has been.
Was waiting for the intro part, that sucks.
Better than Dave,nah!😮😂Just Sayin!😂😮
I agree. He just doesn't have the swagger that Dave has.
No intro? Cmon.
He's admitted several times he can't play it.
King eddie's swing is unique
@@scottgorrie2043 No...he didn't ever say that because he's played this song plenty. He played it at this very show. It just isn't in this clip.
Nuno is better than santriani on van halen
Killer tone right off the warm-up chords!
Nuno does Eddie better than Satch... just sayin
This sure smokes that crappy tour Sam, Sauce and Satriani are doing.

tell me this is not Nuno taking a subtle shot at Joe Satriani for struggling with mean street....
I doubt that, I would wager Nuno has nothing but love and respect for Satch.
Nope....he didn't play the intro himself
It is not a subtle shot at Satch.
No shot at Joe. It was the intro that Joe struggled with. Nuno didn't play that (at least not in this clip). Nuno could probably do a better job at it, because he was obsessed with and studied Ed's stuff far more closely than Joe did.
Probably the singers favorite song from when he sang for van halen
Try as you might no one plays or sounds like Ed.
This guy didn't belong in Van Halen period, worst selling album VH ever had
🙌🙌🙌
Fuck me! All 4 are grooving to this.
Love it!!
I think if Alex put on an Eddie tribute show the way Queen did for Freddie, Extreme would once again steal the show.
Great guitar work vocals sucked never did like him in Van Halen. I’m glad he stayed with extreme.
