Check out the video he put on the bottom of the screen at 0:42 that guy got put in a rear naked choke in front of all those people and nobody helped him. It’s sad that people can be so rude and not help a person who is in danger.

      Exterme SPEED is the key in all combatives. SPEED X MASS = FORCE. You can not change your weight that much but you can change your SPEED. A Blade or sword is nothing but a sharp rock unless you have SPEED! Be sharp and do a lot of cardio and run, jog or just walk to get the most out of SPEED.

The robber just wants to get your money and valuables and be out of thee by the least effort necessary.

      Right!! Rear Naked Choke comes from Judo, where it is taught properly. Prior to the development of Judo, it was in Jujitsu and other Japanese arts. As well as Chinese arts, and no doubt others. There are ancient drawings, dating back to ... ohh.. I forget.... 2500 years or so, that depict many techniques common to Judo and other arts. No doubt the ancients knew how to fight. Alexander the Great was around 300 B.C., he and his army knew how to fight. He went all the way to Western India, then just stopped. So did Alexander bring to India "fighting techniques" which then developed into Indian "fighting arts"? Which then went to China and developed into Shaolin martial arts and others. Which then went to Japan. etc, etc. etc..

Vital points, pressure points, nerve points (these include extreme pain points, organs, and death strikes). Then .... GO!!! .......... and don't stop until it's over!! Either HE or YOU are OVER!!! There are many extremely nasty, painful, and injurious points on the human body which one can attack, strike, poke, grab. Grab tight on his balls and squeezing until he passes out is one possibility ... IF .. it is possible to do so. However, it's not always that easy to do so. Tough if guy is wearing tight leather pants or has a big heavy winter coat hanging down, etc.. If you want to get really nasty .... drive your thumb into his eye ball; drive first finger knuckle under his earlobe; drive a finger into his ear; drive a finger up his nose; as "Tom Cat" said, grab his windpipe (with what is called an "Eagle's Talon". Extremely painful and scary.); and many other things you can do. There are many nerve points. One effective thing to do, is to "finely" pinch the skin just under his tricep, above elbow (i.e. underside from bicep). Hurts like a bastard!! Call also pinch the same way just inside thigh. There are so many points. Too many to list here.

    As someone who’s trained jiu jitsu for 10+ years , The second technique would be the most effective IMO. Remember the first step is always to face your hips perpendicular to his. You CANNOT let him stay behind you.
    This isn’t going to work all the time but it’s definitely your best chance of escaping.

      It's a standing RNC... little bit different. :)
      Both of these maneuvers COULD work... and probably would work against some opponents... As Bas Rutten says "you have to try something, right?"... and he's correct...
      I'm a big fan of fighting the top hand... everybody goes to the arm around the neck but when a RNC is applied correctly, the reduction in "pressure" by grabbing the arm around the throat is too negligible to make a difference... reach for the fingers on the top hand and break them if you can... at least use them as leverage to pull the arm away.
      Anyway, don't know who the BJJ practitioner is in the video but I'm glad to see Jake mixing some more practical styles into his videos.

      @kostasbrunner5701 5 лет назад

      I think this can't work if he is taller then u and if you don't have the moment of surprise. The ideal choke move is up and a turn that the opposite is falling with his face to the floor. If he close the lock it's as good as over. If you are able to bend down he is already doing it wrong. I would go for the eyes. If u poke and push his eyes with your fingernails he has only the opportunity to make space or to risk eye damage. Only my thoughts...

He loses focus when they get on the ground and misses the opportunity to place himself on his opponent... So he did the choke wrong and would still be able to do it. These chokes are just done wrong mostly. It is essential if the choke is locked to pull up and move back to break the balance and take him to the ground with his face on the floor and you on top. This scenarios where he is choking you and just chills behind you is far from reality... Well stay save out there...

    As a person who is trained in self defense from many styles being former military, BOTH of these escapes are great to know. You should never limit your self defense mindset to one doctrine, to one technique. The size of your attack plays a key role as to which method you use. FOr instance, someone much larger than yourself can also do a total body-weight drop and take you to ground where you are in defense and a much more negative position. I applaud BOTH of these techniques. Learn from as many doctrines as you can, combine them. Always remember though, your first responsibility to never allow yourself to be taken by surprise but in the event that you are taken off-guard, the quicker you escape, the better off you are. Never try to stand and fight it out or punish the person who has attacked you. By doing so, you are using valuable energy that soon, you may need to defend against a growing number of assailants. So defend, take them out, neutralize them for good and escape. GREAT VIDEO GUYS!

      @anirudhagarwal950 5 лет назад +1

      The escape is good, but the takedown is much harder to achieve since the opponent here doesnt move after letting go off the choke. In a live situation he will try to square up with you to try to get the choke back or disengage. But the idea is correct to fall or roll to the non choking side. It will also help to peel the arm off! (Watch conor vs khabib)
