    It's funny that I take advantage of rocks coming to me. When I go into a commercial building(s) that has had river rock tossed in for 'scaping, I always look around for an interesting rock that might catch my eye. Of course, I've had a few rocks in my pockets over the years but also a few of the most eye-catching, beautiful stones that I've gathered.
    Not quite the scenery you all enjoy, but the hunt is always on.
    Thank you for sharing your adventures. 😊❤

      Lisa, I can't tell you how great it felt. The river rose early, and we didn't have many open days in the winter (where the snows have melted and the gravel is exposed), so I really hadn't gotten a good river hunt in since last fall. Is it possible to be addicted to finding agates? :D

    • @KatyDidRocks
      @KatyDidRocks  Год назад

      Hi! The Yellowstone River in eastern Montana is abundant with agates, and there ARE agates in other rivers around the country - but it really depends on the geology of the area. If you are interested in finding out about your own area, go to the library and look for "Rockhounding (name of your state). I think they have issues for most states, and it's a great place to start.
