Man as a hobby kickboxer (4 years gym) I truly learned from your video and it helps me to develop tactics for different situation in sparring. I will watch all of your videos. Thank you for your effort. Looking forward to future videos. Subscribed! Greetings from Germany.
I learned so much from this video, if I could add a small piece of advice given to me was, if you know you are fighting someone who kicks a lot, watch their hips more often.
If someone decides to throw a kick, they better be able to land it & snap it back quickly, or risk having it caught. A push kick is far easier to catch & take an opponent down with.
Buakaw didn't push with his right hand he faked (feinted) a hook, causing his opponent to jerk his head back, exposing the shoulder and placing himself off center (balance) all his weight beibg transferred to the left leg after it was swept out from under him, the grab on the shoulder just augmented the sweep kick and was a balance tool for Buakaw, masterfully executed BTW, great example
I just went against my first “kicker” today. Definitely not the most fun to face. Completely lost all confidence in getting close, coach ended up stopping the “light spar” after nearly throwing up.
