So funny, I was just thinking about this a couple of weeks ago and all of a sudden I'm seeing it everywhere -- there were kits for making flowers with this plastic resin dip in the 1960s. I made tons of flowers with it. So cool to see it coming back. ❤
Our house and all of our relatives houses were filled with these old orange flowers with green leaves lol. I don’t even know for sure which relative(s) were responsible for making them but we all had them decorating our homes lol

You could paint designs on the wings ..use peices of wire to make legs...make a flower with this. Or a bumble bee. Oh the creative things swirling in my head right now. 😊 ooh put crystals on the wings. Or abalone shell peices. See head is swimming with ideas❤

Lovely dragonflies. Yes, the product is fun. I used it 50 years ago to make aquarium flowers. Just have to use wire that won't degrade. Can't remember what that was, but it was probably stainless steel. Niobium should work as well, and give you beautiful colors.

So sad no shippy to Canuck land. However I can order some from the big company starting with A in the 70s early teens there was a couple that made these flowers in their home. Then paid us to go door to door with the flowers selling them. I believe we got paid by the piece. Sold out all the time. You could also floral wrap the stems if you wantes to. I love it. I have wanted to try this stuff for years, but never got round to getting any. Always had too many other crafts going on lol. Sorry but I have to say it, unless you're making an octipus or squid, it's not tenticals lol. They are called Antennae for the pair or Antenna for just 1. My upbringing with animals and creatures of all types has me knowing more than the average bear lol. All the best, Diane

The colours are really beautiful. I wonder what they would be like if you double dipped or even triple dipped the pieces? Perhaps you could get away with repairing the damaged one by dipping again?!
Wow I love it. I remember when we used dipping stuff to make flowers but it wasn't resin. The two colours you had are gorgeous. I so need to try this especially as I'm nuts on dragonflies I have them everywhere, but still lots of room for a good few more. Just wrap an additional wire thru his middle and you will have your spike to put him in a pot. 😊 I think that resin is amazing! I've tried doing it with uv resin. Not so simple 😢 Thank you for sharing. They are adorable. I'm guessing they sell many colors?
For fun! They are really sweet. I came across Inion art’s YT channel years ago. I was disappointed they weren’t available in the US. I did check out their website again about a year ago, if I’m remembering right they did have a portion of it that they could send but, you had to add acetone to it (I think). It does look like it would be very addicting craft!😂 They have a lot of different flower tutorials on their channel. I wanted to try and make a rose bouquet with butterflies and put them in a sphere mold. Can’t wait to see what else you make with it!❤
Yes you are right on the sending abroad 😀😀 they send it dry so you have to mix it when it arrives. But they sell abroad a lot now 😀😀💜 I will be playing around more 😀😀💜👍

Fantastic I adore them all. The two-colored butterfly I think is my favorite. The hippocampus on the window ledge/edge is cute. I most likely already said this but you know how old people repeat themselves haaha They had a flower kit back in the 70-80s wow did it stink and it never really worked right, it was like water and stayed sticky. Looks like they have a really nice product nowadays. How does it smell? Can you fix the wing pricing by redipping it? Can you dip in one color then the other? Thanks for sharing

Loved the video Wendy, 20+ years ago my mum bought me a liquid plastic kit,well that at least what we called it . I made lots and lots of flowers with this kit.I had many hours of fun. I am sure I read somewhere that you can make your own with colour and PVA glue. I have not tried and tested that myself as yet maybe some day! Thank you for all your great tutorials

These are so adorable Wendy. I used to make these as a child with nail polish but you had to do many layers to get a decent strength on the wings, it was a much longer process. Could you re-dip the broken wing to mend it?
Sorry as a pedant, I can't resist... but .. I really was confused for a while what you meant by 'tentacles' until you started shaping the antennae. Insects do not have tentacles; Octopi do. They are leg like appendages. Looks like a fun craft and your dragonflies came out so very pretty.

The will sell to the US but there is increased sipping and it comes dry. You have to mix yourself but it works the same!

You can double dip after 24 hours but it’s like adding another layer of nail varnish 😂😂 it kinda melts the one before. But it’s definitely possible 😀👍

Apparently you can re-dip after 24 hours. It doesn’t smell at all and no I didn’t fix the wing 🤭🤭😀

Loved the video Wendy, 20+ years ago my mum bought me a liquid plastic kit,well that at least what we called it . I made lots and lots of flowers with this kit.I had many hours of fun. I am sure I read somewhere that you can make your own with colour and PVA glue. I have not tried and tested that myself as yet maybe some day! Thank you for all your great tutorials

These are so adorable Wendy. I used to make these as a child with nail polish but you had to do many layers to get a decent strength on the wings, it was a much longer process. Could you re-dip the broken wing to mend it?

Sorry as a pedant, I can't resist... but .. I really was confused for a while what you meant by 'tentacles' until you started shaping the antennae. Insects do not have tentacles; Octopi do. They are leg like appendages. Looks like a fun craft and your dragonflies came out so very pretty.

I would use the saying "comfortable in your skin" at my age I can say , as I am older than you.... you are cute shyish lovely and very pleasant.
