Me too, I'm trying to expose myself to my fear in hopes to rid myself of the burden from having it. My entire family hunts and has taxidermy so it's important to me to get rid of this fear.

Tee hee those name plates with sayings were cute. Even John Wayne made an appearance. Think that sponge was meant to look like a honeycomb. What a ahhhmazingly large assortment of animals! Their displays are amazing & very lifelike. Yay they had some Possums for you.

Yeah, from Shreveport originally. Haven't been to that museum in forever, thanks for the memories. Wish the Shreveport museum had better upkeep. Lots of dioramas, back in the day they had a live alligator that lived in the courtyard. Made for fun school field trips.

  • @curtbutterfield1966

I didnt realize the museum was still open. Sam and lura owned a taxidermy supply company for 50 years I think it was. The one really crazy looking animal was actually created from 14 different animals.
I took their taxidermy course and the certificate had that animal on my certificate. It looks awesome.
By the way how much was admission???
If you come to Michigan we have an really incredible taxidermy museum. It is the town of gaylord. The name of the museum is named CALL OF THE WILD. This is because lots of the animals there have the sounds of that animal.
I went as a kid and it impressed me so much that I wanted to become a taxidermist. (And I did I had a business for almost 30 years)
