    Classical guitars are our passion! We are specialized in the highest quality concert guitars as well as historic guitars from around the world. Our passion for these unique instruments and the joy to give guitarists, passionate players, and collectors the possibility to purchase their own appropriate instrument is the motivation that drives us. Another focus is to work closely with established and young, largely unknown luthiers. Together we want to develop new ideas and share experiences with our customers. We also recorded pieces for many great composers such as Johann Sebastian Bach, Astor Piazzolla and Isaac Albeniz (Asturias). You will also find almost all the classical music composers that wrote for the classical guitar. Make sure to discover Agustin Barrios Mangoré, Manuel Maria Ponce, Heitor Villa-Lobos and many more if you don't know their compositions already You can find our showroom in 76137 Karlsruhe, Roonstr. 31, Germany

    Two first places: Fleta and Simplicio of course. The sound of both is so wonderful. It makes you feel the music. These guitars take musicians and most listeners to wonderful places somehow. They make you want to hold on to every note, and extend it just a little longer. I so much wish i could play a guitar like that someday. Talk about having a perfect job, Jouyan. I won’t deservedly put down the other two.

    The Simplicio is mind blowing, it would be interesting to know how much effect almost a hundred years of aging has had on the guitar. such big warm bass but it still not overwhelming the trebles. Wow, that guitar goes on my list.

    Fleta the dream guitar, not only a dream, it,s also very astetic and such a nice design, as well. It also have an outstanding bas and the trebles. I have played some of them but never could afford one. This one I will have, so have to sell my house,😅😅

    I am normally a bassplayer, so my favorites are the instruments from Jellinghaus and Simplicio. The low strings of both guitars have an amazing sound for my "bass hears".

    The Turkowiak is my personal favourite for its harp-like tone and very deep resonance, though a bit dark on the top end, at least in this recording. It's important to remember how significant microphone placement can effect what you're hearing, not to mention the speakers you play it back on. The top end on that Fleta was really pleasing to my ears as well, stunning guitars.

    Yeah is great to have all that guitars in one place as well is great that you share all that . By my ear just one of all those guitars is outstanding and is not a Fleta but the Simplicio !
    Simplicio guitars are that good as Torres ones or Santos Hernandez ones !

    Loving the weekly update on the guitars, amazing audio quality as always from siccas, if you get a moment could you mention/list the pieces that you are using to demonstrate. I do sort of recognise them but can't quite get to the names..... other than Fly me to the Moon :-)

    1957 instrument has a magnificent voice
    1931 instrument has a more flamenco oriented sound / voice (probably because of maple)

    I can imagine playing the two old guitars is like sipping from a glass of Macallan 30-year-old. Flavourful but not overpoweringly strong. The sound sticks to the fingers........

    How much care do these older instruments need? Are they relatively fragile?

    • @SiccasGuitars
      @SiccasGuitars  Год назад +2

      They already need more care than newer instruments. They should be tuned down when not played and you should pay attention to the correct humidity.

    I really don't understand all the "hype" around Trukowiak guitars. There are present in different Guitars of the week and to me, all of them sound really inferior to the others. For istance, the Jellinghaus is really a nice sounding and performing instrument with a full earthy sound. All the Turkowiak played sounds dull, with a lot of wolf notes and not as charming or interesting as the other guitars in all other comparisons.
    By the way in this video I have to say that the first one to me is the Jellinghaus followed by the Fleta and by the Simplicio. Yes I'll put the Simplicio at the third place since I think that the tornavoz make it a guitar that could be played only for one or two repertorie. The Jellinghaus and the Fleta are more modern in terms of sound but certainly and evidently the first is more lively since it's newly build

    • @niceguitar6144
      @niceguitar6144 Год назад +1

      Whaaaaat? I agreed with you fully about the Turkowiak guitars, and then you picked the nasal lattice top over Fleta and Simplicio????? As Jouyan sometimes: i just have no words. If nothing else, the price difference between these wonderful historic guitars that sound so amazing, and Chinese guitars made to Jellinghaus specification should be a give away.

    • @carpicabeckers6029
      @carpicabeckers6029 Год назад

      @@niceguitar6144 hi dear! Yes, its something that surprised even me. I was expecting the Simplicio to be the nicest and complex one, but I really think that the tornavoz in this particular guitar don't contribute to the sound, it almost sounds out of phase to me ( thinny and tubby ).
      The Fleta and the Jellinghaus are on the same league: both modern in sound and so more versatile as instruments. The Simplicio have a sound that can't make you play some modern pieces, maybe even some late 900 pieces.
      Also I feel that the Jellinghaus is more lively than the Fleta since is a new guitar otherwise both would be on the same position.
      Don't be so arsh to Jellinghaus, its a chinese shop full of competent luthiers. If my budget would be 2000 - 3000 I would surly search for the right Jellinghsus

    • @niceguitar6144
      @niceguitar6144 Год назад +1

      @@carpicabeckers6029 i respect your opinion but i am wildly perplexed that you choose the nasal lattice sound over the magical Fleta. You are admirably articulate but we will just have to entirely disagree. I will take that Fleta over every lattice braced guitar, not just this conservatory. Price, Smallman, Redgate, Lassarague, no matter. If i could choose, Fleta it would be every time.

    • @niceguitar6144
      @niceguitar6144 Год назад

      @Konstantin Ridaya no, good point but Tim tends to like the Jellinghaus various Torres replicas. On their website i only see one Jellinghaus double top and no lattice. I agree on the reasonable price range though. We can fall head over heels but the Fleta is so unreachable and unaffordable for most of us.

    • @carpicabeckers6029
      @carpicabeckers6029 Год назад +2

      @@niceguitar6144 that's good Nice! I respect your opinion too. Guitars needs to be chosen by ears and also hearts. So if your heart points you on the Fleta so it has to be.
      Btw there's a lot of difference between an Australian style lattice and an all wood lattice like the ones of Rinaldo Vacca or Walter Verryed. To me the latters are more "traditional" in their sound and less nasally. Love their headroom especially for people with strong RH like me
