You have a gift with words. As an INFJ I can personally confirm that everything you are saying is spot on. You should consider a career as a psychiatrist or a counselor because I really feel that you have a gift for helping others. Peace :)

Aw thank you. I love to help others. I have always been the "unofficial" counselor to those around me.

Why is it that this INFJ girl I loved for so long, said I was not right for her. I gave her all the things she needed it wasn’t hard. Emotional connection and listening to her was all she really needed. She quickly put me in the friendship zone and said Josh I can’t lose you. So now I’m getting married and she needs me but I told her if I find someone I will be only with them because INFP are friend to lover types.
She is not confessing her self to me. But I do hate that INFJ are so slow to love and when it is the wrong love they give in but they have such high standards for the good ones.
Sorry but INFJ are my favorite but I realize they do this self sabotage self fulfilling prophecy of doing everything they can to say why no one loves me yet pushes the ones that were loyal into the friendzone.

I can see all these concerns, but maybe because I'm an INFJ - T it's different to some degree. I will say that it's very easy for me to be self critical, over stressed, and blaming myself for my quiet time. However, I do down play myself down a lot as I do it to prevent me from being arogant and self indulgent.

    Greetings from Europe, Christine!
A mid 30's INFJ here, I found your channel by searching for ENFP/INFJ-content, and I'm glad I did!
First of all, I applaud you for putting yourself out there on videos as an INFJ, I've shared on YT before but nowadays I like my privacy! It takes courage to make videos with the comment section open so I applaud you for that. :)
Watching your videos is refreshing, I identify with many things and it's almost like watching a female version of myself or like a sister, incredibly! It's cool to see your calm INFJ-vibe in your mannerisms and voice, it makes you go "oh that's what it looks like!" when thinking of how people around see you as an INFJ, haha!
Not forgetting the "I'm kinda' not here"-elusiveness in your eyes, so INFJ! Kind of encourages me to see that other INFJs actually exist, haha.
I'd like to ask your opinion on something, if you don't mind! Reflection from an another INFJ could really provide insight.
    * Do you think men and women can be platonic friends on a deep level?
I've done a lot of penpal-stuff online and met lots of people over the years, and during that time likely mostly due to my immaturity as an INFJ then, I lost both budding friendships- as well as one deep, years-long friendship due to the lady developing feelings for me one way or another. Even in the deep friendship despite us openly agreeing to being just friends, she eventually couldn't respect my privacy and started to act very jealous and insecure. I eventually had to cut her off from my life for good. It was only later that I realized that INFJ's words have power. And I felt like I had said things to women that I meant as genuine compliments, but it meant much more to them. I wanted to build them up with words and in a very conservative way.. But the whole thing just went south. *Sigh.* oh well. Live and learn I guess.
Would've sent this privately to you but there seems no option for it on YT!
God bless and hope to hear from you!

Thanks for sharing your thoughts, friend. It's great to hear about your experiences and I'm glad you've found some insights from my little corner of the world. To answer your question (a very good one):
I would say that, yes, I personally believe men and women can be platonic friends on a deep level. I have experienced it myself. But I also think, just like you have expressed, that both parties have to be willing for it to remain that way. I (like you) have been incredibly unsuccessful at keeping male friendships without them falling in love with me, which has been a lifelong challenge. I have also made mistakes and unknowingly hurt people because I was "being too friendly." But then I came to realize that however misinterpreted I was, I was coming at these relationships from a place of genuine care. And everyone in the world, both men and women, can benefit from kindness and compassion, even if there's a chance it can be taken the wrong way.
I hope that offered some encouragement. All the best to you!

Thanks for taking the time to reply, it's interesting to hear your thoughts!
Oh my, why is it that people fall for us? (..and then we have to humbly deny to ourselves we're not selfish when wondering that question, ha.)
That same thing has happened to me as well, being yourself and doing what you feel comes naturally, trusting they (even your close best friend) can take a compliment, and then later all of a sudden they confess they've developed feelings for you? It's not like you shower them with praise everyday, it's frustrating, honestly. #INFJproblems, lol
Do we really have to compromise- or regulate ourselves in our kindness?

@@tatejamo A bit late to the conversation :'D But I have a theory I'd like some input on... I think INFJs are kind of a peculiar mix of both the masculine and feminine traits, in a way that makes us more comfortable conversing and dealing with the other sex, while making the other comfortable with dealing with us as we mix between traits they find familiar and traits they find attractive... Which I think is a very powerful trait to have in the realm of relationships, platonic or romantic. Overall, I think friendships with the other sex are incredibly tricky, especially with the aforementioned powerful traits... which Is why I kind of avoid them fearing giving the other false hope. Until I can build myself both physically and mentally to be able to provide for someone. what are your thoughts? :o

    • @tatejamo

@medots6194 Hi there, that's an interesting insight, I think you have thought of it deeper than I have! I can only share my personal experience, in adulthood I've kind of become more aware of my own boundaries and thus naturally lean on more masculine leading traits. Knowing yourself, having boundaries and stopping people pleasing are one of the best things an INFJ can do, imo. 🤪
If it wasn't me you asked thoughts from, my apologies!

Another great vid Christine, I wonder with all the INFJ awareness vids now how us INFJ's will change and move forward, I know finding out I was INFJ has completely changed my life. I wonder what the effect of self awareness of INFJ'S as a group will be on the world in the next 10 years, it's like Hal on 2001 becoming self aware, " No I can't do that Dave" 😂

I definitely resonate with these INFJ qualities...Is there a test in particular you’d recommend to pinpoint if I fit the INFJ tupe? I’d put money down that I am one from your descriptions. Thanks for efforts sharing your videos.

Aw that's cool. I'm glad you can relate. 16 Personalities is probably the most popular personality test, so I would start there. It's definitely not entirely conclusive, but I think it's a really good starting point to see where you fit in. That was the first test I took and then kept learning from there.
