Very useful tips! I studied for the admin exam using the material from Mike Wheleer and the exams from Focus on Force, and I earned my first certification on the first attempt. The only tip I would include is that if English isn't your native language you can open a ticket in Trailhead to request 30 extra minutes, I did it and it was very important to me.
Really great tips that can be applied to any Salesforce Exam. Thank you for sharing! Breaking down the modifier, context, and trivial words was very helpful.
OMG 😳 watching this today on 11/15/2022 I am having a vivid flashback to my early Salesforce days in May of 2022 when I listened to this guy.... David, the guy is YOU... you were one of the first people I ever listened to!!!! Wow 😯 but of course, at the time, this all felt like bluh bluh bluh and not ever attainable for me, and the guy in my memory appeared to me a super-human and I hardly could comprehend what the guy said in its fullness. David... the guy was YOU! How awesome!
@@Explore_Salesforce_Careers awww 🥰 I went to bed shocked last night remembering clearly that the guy in my flashback sounded like blush bluh bluh because I could hardly COMPREHEND what was said, and wow that was YOU… you’re so real and human now and I comprehend everything you say lol 😂 I can only imagine now that MOST OF WHAT I SAY to many trailblazers sounds like bluh bluh bluh… This is a breakthrough! Things change so fast, I can’t believe where I am… wow 😯 Praise God!

Good tips. However, be careful retaking FOF exams that you are learning the content and not just memorizing the answers. When you retake the same test it’s easy to just remember the correct answer. I failed doing this and failed my certification exam.
@@Explore_Salesforce_Careers Any recommendations on how long you should wait between retaking the same exam so this doesn't happen? I tried retaking after 3 days and it was still a lot of memorization on my part.
I recommend retaking within 2 weeks so you don’t lose the knowledge you’ve accumulated. During those two weeks you should study the sections you scored below 65% in, based on the post-exam email from Salesforce with your section level feedback.
It’s not about being smart or not smart. It’s about finding a study strategy that works for you. If you want it bad enough you’ll get there. You just need to figure out WHY you’re failing and fix it.
@@Explore_Salesforce_Careers I am not a good test taker. I don't understand my learning style. I have tried to use different methods and I still fail by a lot. I do badly in every category.
Perhaps you could join a study group for some help. Find a Salesforce Saturday group to join and connect with others who are also prepping for the exam.

Thank you for the feedback and for the Trailhead tip Ana. Congrats on passing!!
Thanks really for the tip. Should we request extra time before exam or during the exam ?
@@haimizpsase7664 If you have a reason for requesting the accommodation you can create a case on the Trailhead site and ask.
@@Explore_Salesforce_Careers Thank you so much for your answer and of course for the great resource that you share with us.

I feel like I'll never pass it. I'm happy playing in the org but I don't think I can pass the exam.
Don’t lose heart. Find your weak areas, study those, and go again!
@@Explore_Salesforce_Careers I'm tired of studying. I am burned out. I have tried 3x and failed. Maybe I am not smart like all the people passing it.
