I love the contrasting wood colours between the Sapele wood and the Ash as well as the shape. The light blue resin gives a softness to the look of the piece. Well done Morgan! ❤
Anyone else have trouble watching this? I was on the edge of my seat the whole time, thinking that beautiful delicate piece was going to fly apart! Nerves of steel.
It's lovely! The chatoyancy popping out on many of the segments is wonderful. I can imagine a ceramic pot made similar to this one. A classic shape with great color spots.
Very beautiful. I also like to use my round carbide cutter more than any other cutter that I have. It makes the transition cuts easier than a regular gouge.
Love this idea. Think I'm going to try a larger version with more resin spots, then fit a some LEDs inside. Should make a nice lamp. By the way. I found an easier way to add small amounts of resin is with a turkey baster.👍
Nice piece, but it wouldn’t be for me. It’s a little boring in my opinion. Colors or alternate wood colors would make it pop more for me. Funny, I think it’s the first one he’s made I’m just not enamored with.
@@Zzrdemon6633 awww, did I hurt a fanboy’s feelings. Get over it. The man makes fantastic items, I’m just not in love with one of them. It’s like beer. I like a lot of beers, but just can’t tolerate IPAs. Doesn’t mean they aren’t good, just not my taste. And yes, it’s an opinion. My video? Wish I could. Thanks for no distracting music or useless commentary. Well done.

I love it. I think I’d have to put a tiny string of lights in it to see it shine through that opal blue resin. Well done. ✌🏻🤍🤞🏽
Thank you so much for your comment 😉
Very nice! I bet it would look neat with a battery candle in it to show through the resin.

I use any one, I don't have a favorite brand for pore filler😉

👍👍👍
Thank you😉👍👍
It would have been neat to drill the holes through and use a clear epoxy. Then put a light inside
Yes why not🤔😉
So much patience to put together so many little pieces but the result was beautiful 😃! Perfect shape of the piece 👏

Now set it over a small light source.

My favorite! Hard to pick just one though!

Very beautiful. I also like to use my round carbide cutter more than any other cutter that I have. It makes the transition cuts easier than a regular gouge.
Harry 😉
yes it is true that on certain types of wood this gouge offers better comfort
Love this idea.

Thank you for your comment, with LEDs inside it offers a nice mood lamp.
Good idea, the turkey baster😉👍
Looks great!
Maybe asking a light inside and turn out the inside till the epoxy is exposed
🧐

👍🏻 from Plelauff
I thought a light was going to be put inside to make the dots glow.
Thank you so much for your comment 😉👍👍
Curious as to why you used a metal bit to drill the holes and not a wood bit? Seems like it left some tear out along the edges.
I did not use wood drill bits because they have a point that would have gone through the pieces of wood and the resin would have escaped 😉
My Grandpa would have made a jig to align the pieces for drilling
I prefer when the elements are not perfectly aligned😉
Now turn it upside down and put a light inside it, they have battery powered and remotes, then experiment with colorings the epoxies
Why not😉👍👍
you didn't put your label on?????
I put it on but I didn't film it😉
Why do you use superglue instead of a more traditional wood glue?
Andy
the drying time is instantaneous with cyanoacrylate 😉but I do not use it with all types of wood
capelli or sapelli?
Sapelli😉
Mon avis .

@@bawbreizhartwood merci… j’aurais dû m’en douter… bravo, super boulot
Lovely, but for me the resin detracts from the stunning shape. Like a beautiful girl with too much makeup on.
Thank you so much for your comment 👍
3:26 maybe wearing gloves is a good idea ? These glues are no joke
🤔

Yeah I kind of agree. The colors don’t really stand out for a vase. Now if he had turned that into a nightlight the colors would have been good.
Good thing no one asked you too db’s for your opinion! Link your video for us
