Another well known group of female warrrior are amazons but that just as a side note. Let's talk about Melissa Bonny and not beeing able to do harsh vocals for a bit. You seem to know her only as singer for Ad Infinitum but she has a band called The Dark Side of The Moon and was also in Rage of Light. The last one has a cover of Amon Amarth's Twilight of the Thunder God btw. I would highly recommend to take a look at these bands if you like Melissa . As of now you would be surprised what you missed out on.
Melissa and Thomas are Swiss the rest of them are german. This video was shot on a real castle ruin and there is a behind the scenes video for it. The only green screen effect used is getting Alea (singer of Saltatio Mortis) in there since he wasnt able to show up for the record.
As a Manowarfan i would kindly ask you to (if not allready known) check out the Kings of Metal cover by Van Canto. Also a german band. I am aware of Van Canto being more of a meme band in case of there covers but thats also the best way to get started with them just to get why and how they are different.
If you want to know more about Saltatio Mortis, Loki and My mother told me are great songs.
PS: Melissa Bonny is featured in a nother Feuerschwanz song. It's another cover "Ding" by Seeed there you will also get a good impression of Melissas skill range.

Feuerschwanz is a really awsome band and their album even got 1st place in the german album charts. Thats very rare for metal bands. They are awsome musicians, that also dont take themself too serious (just google their stage names XD) making and covering quite the selection of funny songs.
But thats not the only thing you can discover here.
The first singer (Ben Metzner or his Feuerschwanz name Prinz R. Hodenherz III) has a side project named dArtagnan which makes really good folk rock.
Then you have Melissa Bonny who not only has her band Ad Infinitum, but also has The Dark Side of The Moon a project with with Hans Platz (Guitarrist of Feuerschwanz), Jenny Diehl (Harp player of Feuerschwanz) and Lowe Sorensen (Drummer from Amaranthe) where they do coversongs of film and tv series songs. Defenetly check out their version of the GoT song Jenny of Oldstone.
Next you have Alea (the guy with the undercut and long beard) whos band Saltatio Mortis is also an amazing medival folk metal band. They released a cover of "The Dragonborn comes" just two days ago, but were also one of the bands that made a Hypa Hypa cover on the Eskimo Callboy EP and an awsome version of the My mother told me song from Assassins Creed. But their own stuff is on the same level. So defenetly worth checking out. I´ve not seen many reactions on their latest release yet, so defenetly one to look for.
Lastly Thomas Winkler (also known as Angus McFife) who was the singer of Gloryhammer till last summer but also frequently does collabs with other bands like f.e. in Vallhalleluja by Nanowar of Steel.
So quite the plethera of bands to check out from just this little collab and believe me its worth it.

Nice reaction. Thumbs up and subscribed! :)
Yes, they are a German band. They are pronunced like "Foyerschwanz". The "eu" is an "oy" sound.
The two fighting women are representing Viking women, as far as I know. They all aren't taking themselves too seriously. That is one of their guide lines, because they were annoyed by big parts of the medival rock & music scene and the re-enactment groups, who were much too serious about their little hobby. Therefore that guy with the top hat between them, the colourful mixture of fantasy-armour etc.
Not long ago they were a fun-party-medieval party/fun/folk rock band. Not very hard most of the time.
The latest album of them (Memento Mori) is their first album, where they really go into serious, harder metal music (without losing the fun element of their former days). This album is now number one in the German album charts and all of the reaction channels here on RUclips really love them.
This cover version is a cooperation between Feuerschwanz, Thomas Winkler (ex singer Gloryhammer), the band Saltatio Mortis (German, similar to the new Feuerschwanz sound) and Melissa Bonny.
I'm recommending the new song of Feuerschwanz, "Ultima Nocte", for a reaction.
    Greetings

You're right, they are (mostly) german and the Album "Memento Mori" hit #1 in the German Album Charts and is one of the best Albums I heard in many years.
If you fear to get problems with copyrights, just text the band on social media and they'll get you whitelisted. They do it all the time.
You already got so many recommendations here, so I won't bother by repeating others ;) Just a Sidenote, European/German Folk-Rock/-Metal is currently becoming more and more popular worldwide due to people spending more time at home on the internet than a few years ago and so it couldn't harm you to dive a bit into the genre and discover some bands :3
I personally have lots of bands from this genre in my playlist at almost all times for ~20 years now and it's so cool seeing it being discovered outside Germany

If you don't have any problems with cheesiness (let alone if you love it under the right circumstances of course 😁), you should take a look at Van Canto. The have made a cover of "Kings of Metal", and while it definitely doesn't compare to this, it's a really fun cover that also gives a good impression of their... style? They do have a lot of other covers (one of Sabaton's "Primo Victoria" featuring Joakim for example) as well as original songs, just give them a try, it sure _sounds_ like you'd enjoy them at least in the right mood 😎🤘

Ok first they are very very German. Secondly they are considered to medieval metal. Third they're ridiculously musically rich, the artist playing the hurdy gurdys also plays violin, and I believe she's the member that also plays the harp, though I might be wrong. Lastly they don't take themselves very seriously. They're much like Eluvitie but more. The bass player wears that armor in performance all the time, they all dress like this in performance. Oh yeah they did a song that is titled Undead in a Dragon Boat (only in German, didn't want to butcher it) You really need to check out more. Great reaction! (I think you're correct warrior women were a rarity. In addition to the Scandanavians the Celts also sometimes had them. But this is less history and more fantasy, so meh, right?)

Feuerschwanz is a Medieval German Metal Band. Love Ding and Untot im Drachenboot. The first two male singers are from the band. The rotating instrument is a hurdy gurdy. The female singer, Melissa Bonny, is fantastic. Sounds like you are familiar with her main band Ad Infinitum. You said you wished they had used a female with harsher vocals. Sounds like you don't know about her harsh vocals. Checkout Warkings where she is the Queen of the Dammed. Recommend Sparta and ODIN's Sons. Given that she can go there it was a stylistic choice. She also is in a side project with several members of Feurschwanz called Dark Side of the Moon. Checkout Jenny of Oldstones which is a cover of a song from Game of Thrones. The third male singer (blond hair) is Alea der Bescheidene is the lead singer of Saltatio Mortis, German folk metal band. Recommend My Mother Told Me which I think is 9th century Norse but best known from the show Vikings. They also have an awesome cover of Eskimo Callboy's Hypa Hypa. is a Medieval The fourth male singer is Angus McFife (Thomas Winkler, dark short hair) was the lead singer of the band Gloryhammer. Recommend song Gloryhammer, Unicorn Invasion of Dundee, and Hootsforce. He is also is guest singer (ODIN) in Nanowar of Steel's Valhalleluja.

You've gotten a lot of recommendations for Feuerschwanz themselves in the comments, so I'll add couple for two of the others:
d'Artagnan(the long haired guy's who did the opening vocals other band): Feste Feiern, C'est la Vie
Saltatio Mortis(the beard guy with raspier/grittier voice): My Mother Told me, Mittelfinger Richtung Zukunft, Hypa Hypa(one of about 7 versions in different genres by different bands - from metalcore original, over medieval metal, to country and hiphop).
I don't listen to Gloryhammer(former band of Thomas Winkler - the green armour short hair guy) or Ad Infinitum(the girl's band), so I'd let others do the choices on those. Maybe just "Afterlife" by Ad Infinitum, as if features Nils Molin, who is absolutely one of the best voices in metal nowadays(his band Dynazty would be nice as reaction, too).

Many women in Europe were also warriors, especially before Christianity, many women fought side by side with the men against the Romans. 6:30 "who can do harsher vocals for a female"? Seriously? Man you really don't know what you say - Melissa Bonny can do the harsh vocals if she wants. She's really good at harsh vocals. However for this song harsh vocals are not fitting.
If you want to hear her growl for real just listen to Rage of Light (she was the lead vocalist of that band until she started Ad Infinitum). She also growls in another collaboration she did with Feuerschwanz (their cover of the Seeed song Ding) or the Dark Side of the Moon song Jenny of Oldstones (which is a cover of a song from Game of Thrones).
8:24 That high note was actually not Melissa Bonny, that was Ben Metzner.
9:30 Not exactly. The antique Amazons where a group of female warriors for example, and throughout European history there has always been a small amount of female warriors every now and then. It was very uncommon but not totally unheared-off. However those where always individuals, not large groups of women (as in an army might have had two or three women amongst their numbers, but there where no all-female units). The most famous example is most likely Joan of Arc who actively led her army into battle. Female warriors among vikings where also rare btw. according to historians the norse did often to some degree teach women how to use weapons, but it was very rare for them to join armies or raiding parties. An example of a female warrior from another part of the world is Hua Mulan, however she's more of a legendary figure and while the legend might have a grain of truth embedded it is most likely that she's not a specific historical figure. However - that the Ballad of Mulan exists in chinese folklore might in itself be proof that on very rare occasions there where female warriors in China as well (or maybe not - there's no real proof as far as I'm aware).
Feuerschwanz has a long list of good songs: Ding, Kampfzwerg (which translates to Battledwarf), Untot im Drachenboot and many, many more.
