    How do you find the Versa’s to drive? I’ve driven the odd Solo nippy vehicles when behaving themselves, cab space however leaves a lot to be desired 😬

    • @anthonyleecooke
      @anthonyleecooke  5 месяцев назад +2

      We have two variants of Versa's the 16 plate ones are Cummins engines and gearboxes they lovely to drive and well behaved but they have stupid Smart seats in the driver cab which adjusted the suspension based on your weight so I end up bouncing all over the place.
      The 18 plate ones which are on the 464 the cab and seat are good could do with somewhere to put a drink, (B10 & Eclipse spoil you for space) but unfortunately these are pain to drive constant downshifts from the gearbox almost kicking off your seat. If was given a choice I would rather put up with bad seat position or have Volvo.

    Nice video! Random question: Do you always do only one route as a bus driver because I know you do the 464 but I never hear that your in a different route

    • @anthonyleecooke
      @anthonyleecooke  6 месяцев назад +1

      So I'm trained on other routes 6/7/152 (to a certain point) 22/481/483 but unfortunately last year I had to ask to be fixed rosta driver so I could take care of Seb (my son) Which now means I just do 464 and I must admit I do miss driving other routes especially the 22 to clitheroe.

    • @JoeTW67
      @JoeTW67 6 месяцев назад +1

      @@anthonyleecooke ah right because some drivers in my area do like the routes that are there locals for example if you lived in Bradford, you’d do the route to Bradford so I didn’t know if you would be on your local or do different routes

    • @anthonyleecooke
      @anthonyleecooke  6 месяцев назад +1

      Understandable. I think just the way our company is set up. As I'm an academy driver, I went through the Train school they put on the Rosso side which is split between 3 depots. If you work with places like Blackburn bus or Burnley bus co you tend to do local work. That's what I'm led to believe

      Hi, obviously I don't represent the company in a way but I will give you my honest opinion
      I've been driving for about a year and five months, and went through their academy to gain my license. Most drivers that join us with a licence will come to team Rosso and be on the 464, there's always opportunities for overtime on other routes. Everyone is really friendly and welcoming. I personally enjoyed the job, I've worked in other sectors like telecommunications and the professional IT industry.
      I'm not 100 certain if I'm allowed to make videos but I thought it's a good insight into industry for some people.
