Encanto, Too. The family Madrigal discovers there is another Encanto much like their own, and Mirabel and some of the others go to contact them and find out what they might know about how the magic works. Of course, the other miracle family has their own problems and the Madrigals help. A good concept?
I feel like the stylish girl would have been a villain in the movie like how Evelyn Deavor was in the Inrecdibals 2. She would have been sneaky and most likely the same character type. I feel like she would be out of place in this movie and I can see why she got cut
I honestly didn’t realize there was scrapped characters in Encanto, especially since I didn’t get the book yet. But that’s pretty nice there’s a digital copy for it
I imagine Beatrice actually left the encanto and moved to the big city to use her goft for fame and fortune, which caused the family to rely on Bruno for their fortune telling. In the movie she would return and friction between family members would arise
4:59 Beta mirabiel:hey there do you like~ accordions *plays accordions* Me: I think I gone into the accordion class I came here for my clarinet yes I'm being taught by Squidward Tentacles
Honestly I think that the problem I had with the movie, EVERY CHARaCTER Is a maiN CHARACTER, and Mirabel just happened to be the protagonist. That why I can't get enough of them 😭 😭 😭 😭 😭 Like i need this to be a series
"Fuega" is kind of a dumb name but I absolutely love the character. I think I would've kept her! But changed her name to "Sol" ("Sun" in Spanish; get it? cause the sun is a big ball of fire!!)
@Alias Fakename Fun fact. "Ignacia" is an actual name in spanish but a lot of women named like that dislike it because it's usually shortened to "Nacha" which means butt cheek (at least that's how it is where I'm from)
Maybe Julieta was originally Leta. One can't be hurt and the other keeps others from being hurt. I remember reading that Augustin originally had Abuela's role of founder of the Encanto and something about magical doorknobs that lead to another dimension, the Encanto. Punk Isabela could have been cool and I just love characters with swords. It would have been too many characters. It already has arguable too many already since most of them don't really do anything and are ignored for pretty much the whole movie. I don't think a tv series would fix it. They would probably still be ignored and Disney has a poor track record with their movies that become tv shows and with sequels. I hope it's just the one.
I know that they probably know this already but just to clarify, When they said that Bruno didn't need any siblings that was excluding Pepa and Julieta, right? They're triplets if i'm not mistaken.
Actually, Dolores just means 'pains' in Spanish. Yes, it's an actual Spanish name. That's because Dolores used to have Julieta's healing power at an initial stage, but the powers ended up swapping and they decided to keep Dolores' name the same.
@@emeraldemperor2601 Personaly I don't associate dolorous with sound, just with pain. Also because you might, or not, make sound when you're in pain depending on how painful it is. But the point is, Dolores must have had that name for a long time. I'm looking at an image of the whole family with their color palet and they all look the same or extremely close. Even the clothes are the same or are slightly different. This was not an early stage of the development because they're all here looking the same and with the same names written underneath. Even the powers seem to be practically the same, except for probably Pepa (who might have been indestructible or fire related), Julieta and Dolores. I know that because in the very first image of the family in the book they look the same as in that page of the color palets with the names, and the one girl I hadn't recognized (because she looks like a mix of our current Julieta and Pepa) I now know is Dolores because of the other page with the name, and she's carrying a tray fool of food. I knew from hearing it before that she had had Julieta's gift, and in that context it makes sense like Camilo being from chameleon (which is also camaleón in Spanish). The family were more than created at that time, except for Dolores and Pepa's final physical appearance, so it'd make some sense they'd keep the names. Maybe they could have swapped Dolores' with Julieta's, but their decision, really.
@@rosamarques5959 really? I figured the mom being the "hold on, sweetie, I'll make it all better" made sense and was probably the whole reason they picked those powers. In fact, I assumed _most_ of the powers were metaphors. Guess not
i mean.. amelia and sofia would be a maybe be a great main character? maybe if they are in the movie, sofia would be jealous for her twin sister (amelia) maybe bc of her beauty (or something), she would always ruined her life, amelia is a maybe kind and sweet person, she would help people in a normal way. maybe in sad or argue scene of the movie the twins would get on the argue about life or something else.. amelia would snapped out and kinda said some like "a bad sister" sofia would understand everything that she done to her and decided to be a better sister to her and she apologize, well she accept her apology and became better twin sister. i think i need grammarly
I think that then instead of Sofia being the one to apologize maybe Amelia could then say something like “I never understood how awful you felt being in my shadow” and then Sofia could have a redemption. Idk either way your idea is sick
They can always explore these cut characters in the series or something. Something that I have to mention that’s really important is that Encanto’s universe is based on magical realism where magic and people coexist like it’s nothing. So there’s a 99% chance of other people and families outside of the encanto having powers and people just think it’s normal. So we could see Mirabel exploring the country and finding some of these characters!
sometimes I like to think the scrapped characters are Pedro's part of the family, maybe they ran away from the opposite direction pedro and Alma were going to?
Personally, I would love to see a more adventurous daredevil Pepa; maybe if there's a sequel movie or TV series, we'll get a flashback of younger Julieta, Pepa, and Bruno With Bruno being her "Leta" so to speak, since it's a popular headcanon that they were close when they were younger before Bruno left, I would like to see Pepa become more anxious as she grew older, and her powers grew more out of control, and Abuela began forcing her to keep it 'clear skies', forcing her to grow up, especially after she had Delores, Camillo, and Antonio Edit: now that I think about it, Julieta would be the Leta, since she is a healer
Having a counterpart Bruno to him would have ruined the arch we got with him. It more about seeing the general path laid out for you whether it's seen as good or bad is up to the person it's about. So have him being more blunt about the future while his counterpart sugarcoats things would have made him less fun in my opinion
I mean, technically, tarot reading isn't exactly reading the future. It's actually more complicated than that. It's supposed to help you kind of...move along. Tell your story and what's troubling you. That's probably why the tarot-reading girl would be more popular. She tells people what she sees, helps them move along, and maybe sugarcoats it.
You know assuming Disney doesn’t cancel the recently confirmed Encanto series it would be very cool if they used the scraped characters to make a family to parallel the Madrigals. It would be cool if maybe their head of house was like a love rival to Abuela for the affections of Pedro, and maybe when they were fleeing the town the two could’ve argued about how best to evacuate and half the town went one way half the town went another way, and because of some other trauma the Abuela counterpart experienced her family got gifts too. It would be a very cool idea to explore some of the less touched upon characters like Camilo and Dolores. Who knows maybe there could be a plot where Camilo ends up falling for one of the people from the rival family. It’s just a random idea I thought of while watching the video and considering that the Encanto broke so it would now be possible to see new characters.
Fun little look through! I can see a lot of things in the final movie that the artists kept as an inside call back to the concepts, such as Pepa being changed to act more like Leta likely would have-plus using the idea of Fuega's powers being effected by mood, combining beta isabellas personality with princesa ("princesa perfecta isabella" by the way anyone?) then pastel purple making a mix their colors together to show it, Beatrice's green possibly continuing onto Bruno, and ofc Mirabelle's brief stint with the accordion in the movie. Recycling ideas and merging them with others to get the perfect match is definitely a big thing when you're making something as extensive as a feature length movie, which is part of what makes art books fun
I don’t know if Alejandra was meant to be dead, maybe her power was turning to stone…Alejandra (the fem form of Alejandro, the Latin version of Alexander) means “protector of mankind”, so I would assume that she would be similar to what Luisa became, a more protector role for the family. Somebody with a tough and defensive gift who views it as her role to keep everyone safe
I think Fuega isnt necessarily her name and more of a nickname, as a latino myself, its common here for people to get nicknames relating either to their appearance, personality or background, for example if you're white and blonde you'd likely be called "galego/a" (not a great example but oh well), so as far as overanalyzing goes, my guess is that she had another name but people just called her Fuega and thats what stuck.
Fun fact American girl doll josifina is an extra in this movie! It looks exactly like her! I bet it was made for someone’s kid. You can see her the most where the two kids were trying to climb the stairs Edit I watched the scene again it kinda looks like josifina she just has a collar this time instead of not having one
My theory for Alejandro was maybe their gift was turning to stone? Since they’re a statue in that drawing? Or maybe it is just a statue of them and they are dead Edit: one like till we get to the funny number
i thought Julieta, Bruno, and Pepa were triples? is this not true and they were just not very good at showing that? because they are all born on the same day but in present day they all seem to be different ages
That’s probably because some people turn out to be like that. For example, An aunt of mine is 53 and yet she looks like she’s in her early 40’s. Meanwhile her younger sister, who is only 49, looks 50-55. I think it’s common for siblings to look like different ages despite having the same birthdate.
I found a new connection between Abuelo Pedro, Abuela Alma and Mirabel. In the audiobook of the Encanto animated film by Disney Press. The audiobook says that Pedro owned a dress shop in the original town that they lived in. After being saved by Pedro from raiders in front of his shop, Alma learned how to sew and started to work with Pedro. My theory is that the sewing machine that is in Mirabel's room, originally was owned by Pedro and Alma. Maybe Abuela taught Mirabel how to sew some time before her fifth birthday and Gift Ceremony. Which would explain why Mirabel loves to sew so much! 😁🧵✂
I would love to see Zoe as a protagonist of her own movie or show. I always had a love for tinkering & engineer type characters in the odd mechanical creations.
Maybe some of them(especially zoe) speculatively will be the great grand kids of alma that will appear in the encanto series i mean we don't know at what point in time the encanto series will release and how long it would run. It could be a month, year heck even, decades from the movie end
If they ever want to make a second movie they could use these characters in some way. Which is what I love about cancelled characters. They can be used any other time as long as you put them on something like paper or a screen, you could reuse them any time
I would like pepa having a twin. like pepa could have her gift (I wouldn’t know what-) and her twin could maybe have a healing gift for when her sister gets hurt. like they could both have a gift to help each other maybe.
The picture of Beatriz looks the same as Mirabel on pages 88-89 of the artbook. There are also a lot of versions of Mirabel in the book with a green outfit and a yellow flower in her hair.
15:27 is also a pretty interesting character concept if you put together the pictures as she seems to be the same character. Like a power to make imagination real. Like waking up from a dream where you were swimming to have your whole room filled with sea water. Or thinking how long and boring that book is just to have in literally lengthen.
12:53, Beatriz, in my opinion would've been more befitting to be Isabela's biological mom; like picture this, both perceived to be the perfectly flawless members of the Madrigal family, Mirabel's role would've been to help them come out of their shell and be themselves just like how she helped Isabela be herself from the movie.
I really love this channel, the host is so energétic that is adicting, I would love a video about the other conceptos of the movie, of course if its okay.
Actually Beatriz was originally meant to be Mirabel! Mirabels voice actress is Stephanie Beatriz so originally they wanted to hint at that with her name!
It’s fun to think that the twins would have followed the opposite personality trope but when they received their gifts they ended up getting gifts that didn’t match their personalities and instead resembled gifts their twin might have received thus driving them apart in conflict. But that probably would work if they were main character’s instead
I disagree with your take on Bubo. Isabella having already made up her mind but being too scared to share it is a lot better than her having a complte and sudden contrived epiphany mid-sentence.

3:20 😭 on the one hand, the calculated commercialization of deep personal stories is kind of chilling. On the other hand I would be nowhere without stories like these, so
Honestly, all the characters that were rejected would be worthy of their own movie, having little-to-no interaction with the main family.
@du²8💋🤏 eww shut up bot
@du²8💋🤏 wtf

Or they could be added as characters for an Encanto series
Encanto, Too.
The family Madrigal discovers there is another Encanto much like their own, and Mirabel and some of the others go to contact them and find out what they might know about how the magic works. Of course, the other miracle family has their own problems and the Madrigals help.
A good concept?
I feel like the stylish girl would have been a villain in the movie like how Evelyn Deavor was in the Inrecdibals 2. She would have been sneaky and most likely the same character type. I feel like she would be out of place in this movie and I can see why she got cut

I imagine Beatrice actually left the encanto and moved to the big city to use her goft for fame and fortune, which caused the family to rely on Bruno for their fortune telling. In the movie she would return and friction between family members would arise
Or maybe the rest of the family found out that her sugar coated tellings weren't so sweet after all

She didn’t “just happen to be” she is literally the heart of the family. If she wasn’t there the movie would have ended when the casita fell
NO SELF DEPRECATION! You're a good man, Finn, and you make good videos!
"Fuega" is kind of a dumb name but I absolutely love the character. I think I would've kept her! But changed her name to "Sol" ("Sun" in Spanish; get it? cause the sun is a big ball of fire!!)
Or maybe Marisol n they call her sol or solecito, i think it would fit better
Ignacia, Marisol, Sol, Soledad, Febe
Fuega is a vibe what are you on?
Fuega would probably would’ve been the fire counterpart version of Elsa!
@Alias Fakename Fun fact. "Ignacia" is an actual name in spanish but a lot of women named like that dislike it because it's usually shortened to "Nacha" which means butt cheek (at least that's how it is where I'm from)
I love Alejandra's design!! She reminds me to Mulan, I hope we get to see her in the future.
2:41 I appreciate the representation as an owl house fan myself!
You too? Me also!
Finn: "I honestly don't think bruno needs any kind of siblings as his ark is fantastic on its own"
Pepa and julieta: *fades out of existence*. lol
I know that they probably know this already but just to clarify, When they said that Bruno didn't need any siblings that was excluding Pepa and Julieta, right? They're triplets if i'm not mistaken.
"how would they know her gift was fire"
did you watch Encanto?
they TALKED ABOUT BRUNO.
Same with Dolores = "dolorous" and Camilo = "chameleon"
red hair?
Actually, Dolores just means 'pains' in Spanish. Yes, it's an actual Spanish name. That's because Dolores used to have Julieta's healing power at an initial stage, but the powers ended up swapping and they decided to keep Dolores' name the same.
@@rosamarques5959 Yes but "dolorous" is usually used to describe sounds, I don't know maybe im overthinking
Guess not

Thanks for the map but I prefer my own journeys and, y'know? This is a nice little vacationing spot as well. :)
i mean.. amelia and sofia would be a maybe be a great main character? maybe if they are in the movie, sofia would be jealous for her twin sister (amelia) maybe bc of her beauty (or something), she would always ruined her life, amelia is a maybe kind and sweet person, she would help people in a normal way. maybe in sad or argue scene of the movie the twins would get on the argue about life or something else.. amelia would snapped out and kinda said some like "a bad sister" sofia would understand everything that she done to her and decided to be a better sister to her and she apologize, well she accept her apology and became better twin sister.
i think i need grammarly

They can always explore these cut characters in the series or something. Something that I have to mention that’s really important is that Encanto’s universe is based on magical realism where magic and people coexist like it’s nothing. So there’s a 99% chance of other people and families outside of the encanto having powers and people just think it’s normal. So we could see Mirabel exploring the country and finding some of these characters!
sometimes I like to think the scrapped characters are Pedro's part of the family, maybe they ran away from the opposite direction pedro and Alma were going to?
doubt
I actually like this
Personally, I would love to see a more adventurous daredevil Pepa; maybe if there's a sequel movie or TV series, we'll get a flashback of younger Julieta, Pepa, and Bruno
With Bruno being her "Leta" so to speak, since it's a popular headcanon that they were close when they were younger before Bruno left, I would like to see Pepa become more anxious as she grew older, and her powers grew more out of control, and Abuela began forcing her to keep it 'clear skies', forcing her to grow up, especially after she had Delores, Camillo, and Antonio
Edit: now that I think about it, Julieta would be the Leta, since she is a healer
There's actually a fanfiction about where Camilo falls for someone in a family that they hate. It's one of those Camilo and reader stories.

Remember, Bruno was the one who is meant to buy the milk which is why he really disappeared
Also... Pepa, Bruno, and Julieta are triplets. Sry if I spelt "Julieta" wrong.
You spelt Julieta's name right.
Love the schaffrillas plug on the map there :}
Fun fact American girl doll josifina is an extra in this movie! It looks exactly like her! I bet it was made for someone’s kid. You can see her the most where the two kids were trying to climb the stairs

maybe they could recycle these rejected characters if they plan to make a sequel
"Bruno doesn't need any kind of siblings"
Pepa and Julieta: 😶
They should make Encanto shorts with each character getting their own episode. Scrapped characters can get the spotlight for once!

i thought Julieta, Bruno, and Pepa were triples? is this not true and they were just not very good at showing that? because they are all born on the same day but in present day they all seem to be different ages
No, they are triplets. I don't know why you're so doubtful of that fact. Pepa and Bruno just look really good for their age, surprisingly.
That’s probably because some people turn out to be like that. For example, An aunt of mine is 53 and yet she looks like she’s in her early 40’s. Meanwhile her younger sister, who is only 49, looks 50-55. I think it’s common for siblings to look like different ages despite having the same birthdate.
They are all 50 in the movie!! Yep they are triplets!!
i absolutely love your perspective
I feel like Fuega in the movie would make Encanto 5x better. And I also think that she could be in Pepa’s Side of the family.
"Dig in the right spot to find it" like the song I've been looking for for months that I happened to randomly stumble upon yesterday? Cool.

Like waking up from a dream where you were swimming to have your whole room filled with sea water. Or thinking how long and boring that book is just to have in literally lengthen.
When Bruno has two sisters in the movie
It's still a great video but you did miss that
12:53, Beatriz, in my opinion would've been more befitting to be Isabela's biological mom; like picture this, both perceived to be the perfectly flawless members of the Madrigal family, Mirabel's role would've been to help them come out of their shell and be themselves just like how she helped Isabela be herself from the movie.
That sounds better I think and also Isabella would get her pesonality from beatriz
5:30 Bruno had a vision of her powers
You figured that all out in ONE detail in EVERY PICTURE?! Dang bro, you have have powers bro!
I really love this channel, the host is so energétic that is adicting, I would love a video about the other conceptos of the movie, of course if its okay.
