My understanding of the direction of the rotors, if they are directional, it is not for the vents/slots on the outside, but for the internal veins/vents of the rotor, those are directional and will not get as much airflow if installed incorrectly, a lot of rotors are straight on the inside though. Great vids as always though brotha!

Depends on manufacturer..StopTech has them 'backwards' , while for example EBC ones go 'FWD' pointing slots. Should just follow the stickers as pointed by manufacturer. And yes, it has to do with the inside veins heat dispersal pattern. I have those two pointing in different directions front-back rn on my car when looking thru the rims. : )

Hey just FYI, you don't need another person to bleed breaks, just attach clear tubing to the bleeder value and put it into a catch bottle that is placed higher than the caliper, the hose runs up and into the bottle preventing any air from going back into the caliper, then just pump the breaks yourself then check the clear tubing to make sure no bubbles are coming out any more.

Generally they’re designed to draw air into and through the disc internal vein structure to improved cooling based on the wheel the forward rotation of the wheel and disc. Drilled and slotted discs are lighter due to there being less material. Hope this helps you to understand brakes a bit better.

Easiest way I have found to verify if you have a pinched line or bad hose is there open the bleeder before you were taking apart. If it's a bad hose or a pinch line, The wheel will immediately free up soon as you open up the bleeder.
And now I feel silly because i didnt watch whole video before commenting, and you mention this at 6:20 😂
It is worth mentioning that you can always just open the bleeders and let it gravity bleed until someone comes along.

As already mentioned the disc rotation refers to the vanes in the inside to help disperse the heat. Could be the reason why the caliper failed if it was getting too hot? Especially being a reman steel item.
But yea it’s very counter intuitive when the grooves “look” better the other direction, think they will bite the pads more when put on correctly though.
