- This video shows the steps to polish a windshield on a 2001 Honda Accord. This windshield has light scratches from the previous owner not replacing the wipers. The lines on the windshield makes it difficult to see at night when the street lights and other cars' headlights are shining at you. The steps used in this video got me around 90% better after about 1 1/2 to 2 hours of work on polishing so your results may vary depending on how much time you plan to spend.

Great info, thanks. Also, love the Buc-ee’s shirt!
I use felt pads and a rotary with a very small amount of polish...when Im done it shines like glass!
Yeah i got tiny scratches on my rear window. I cant feel them with my finger nail. So you thiink it can be taken out completely? This seems to work very well. So you ur not seeing any distortion after you did this? and also woolpad is best to use with this product
The windshield looks really good after for me. The marks were bothering me at night driving by street lights and now it's super clear. For your rear window, I know someone who did it before but it's tricky and takes more experience because it's tempered glass. If not treated correctly you can end up shattering it with too much heat, pressure or vibration.
@@statuskuogarage7462 Hmm you think i would be able to use a felt pad to polish it out with the cerium oxide?
@@munzamy You can try but just keep in mind a felt pad produces more heat than a wool pad. Most people use the felt pad anyway (rayon)
most detailers recommend using felt pad, will the wool pad do the same job ?
The felt pad will produce more heat and since I'm not as experienced as a detailer, I opted for the wool pad so there's more control but of course it'll take a bit longer.
what is name of the powder.can someone please give it in writing
It is called Cerium Oxide.
This is the one I used.

What a mess.... Are you detailer or just do it for hobby?
does this remove acid rain marks?
I don't see why not. Generally if it doesn't catch your fingernail when going over it you're fine.
Right on, ordered the tools to do it myself, +1 sub for you sir
