    How to do touch ups
Step 1 - paint the entire wall

So in other words don't do touchup, paint the whole wall. If you have existing paint, I have found you can do touch ups, using a roller, but the paint needs to be the exact paint and it depends on the surface finish of the paint YMMV

If you have the original paint used reduce it with water at the ratio of a pint per gallon and touch up the areas needed, most cans of paint have touch up instructions on them

First you need to have leftover paint from last paint job.... you don't have to do the whole wall unless its an eggshell then you have to cut and roll the whole wall if flat with same paint spot it out tap tap tap tap...... and bam ive done this hundreds of thousands of times

Curious about the eggshell one. I’ve color matched what looks to be and eggshell wall but the sheen is never the same. Could that be why if it’s eggshell to just paint the entire wall?

@@rnqtn it will flash 90% of the time... Even if you cut it in and to slow to roll it out I've had it flash. I won't even risk touch-ups with an eggshell one and done ✅ it's a really bad look to be called back and asked what happened asked if you cut it in and didn't roll it asking if you tried to cheat them by that one flash on that patch you made.....

But what if the customer doesn't want the whole walls to be painted just touch-ups. What to do in that case? How to blend the touch ups to the whole wall? How to make it look nice❓🤔 Any tips from a pro painter?
