    sir, you teach us this lesson nicely. but I have a doubt, in my book the phosohorescence is shown as the light reflect from triplet state and comes to ground state. and the direct shifting of light from excited state to ground state is named as fluorescence . is this right or wrong ? except this ,the total lecture is easily understandable. thank you

      The instantaneous removal of radiation from first singlet excited to ground singlet state is fluorescence and slow removal of radiation from first triplet excited state to ground singlet state is phosphorescence

    Right answer is👉:- If energy directly come from excited state to ground state is called as fluorescence
    And if energy come from excited state to triplet state then ground state is called as phosphorescence in this process take longer time than the fluorescence

    Sorry sir u have done small mistake,Triplet state- phosphorescence
    10-2 to 100 sec app.
    Because emission of energy relax from Triplet excited state to ground single state. 👍🏻

    Correction is here:
    When an electron comes from a singlet excited state to a triplet excited state, it undergoes a process called intersystem crossing. This is a non-radiative transition that involves a change in the spin of the electron. The triplet state is more stable and longer-lived than the singlet state.
    When the electron goes from the triplet excited state to the ground singlet state, it produces phosphorescence. This is a radiative transition that also involves a change in the spin of the electron. Phosphorescence is a type of luminescence that persists after the excitation source is removed.
    On the other hand, when the electron goes from the singlet excited state to the ground singlet state, it produces fluorescence. This is a radiative transition that does not involve a change in the spin of the electron. Fluorescence is a type of luminescence that ceases as soon as the excitation source is removed.
    I hope this helps you understand the difference between fluorescence and phosphorescence.
