It's a control knob. I suppose it functions like a korg nano kontrol and such.

stepsoflife I’m holding the note with the sustain pedal, I created a patch for that song and I’m using the chord trigger plugin to play the chords while I hold how just the note and sustain it with the pedal that what I have my other hand free to play the other part I’m doing with the Yamaha Montage
