Dave the Diver is an adventure video game developed by Mintrocket. Players control Dave, a hard-working diver, as he collects fish, solves quests, and manages a sushi restaurant. It has elements of management, action-adventure, and role-playing video games.

I think I sunk 70 hours into this game in 2-3 weeks and beat it! At no point in the game did I feel like I was grinding or bored - amazing indie game, it deserves all the attention it got!

I don't really know what the pattern is that they follow but I like that some assets seem to have a higher resolution than others. Like the boats and bigger creatures are pretty much smooth textures but the people and foreground have a more pixel art style

Dave the diver is not really an indie game, it's made by Nexon.
Still a very good game though!
Nexon helped fund it I believe. Mint rocket made the game. By definition it’s still an indie game but I agree that they had more of a budget than other indie titles because of Nexon.
@@MrSaviorHD mint rocket is a team within Nexon, so it's a bit more than just funding. It's like for Child of Light, that was made by a team within Ubisoft. It causes a bit of drama within the indie dev community, because the game is so complete and polished that it could set standards that are not achievable by self-made indie teams
I saw a few reviews that massively hyped this game, I bought it, and when I hit the Kitchen section... I refunded. Just this boring, tutorial-ized crap that felt like I was at work doing data-entry work.
