There is so many Xbox Live Arcade games, it's kinda hard to pick some favorites.
My favorites:
DOOM
DOOM II
Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition
Plants Vs. Zombies
Zuma
Peggle
Harm's Way
Doritos Dash Of Destruction
Doritos Crash Course
Hexic HD
As someone who grew up with Sony and Nintendo consoles, I felt like I missed a whole world of these type of games in my childhood. Thanks for showing some light on these titles
Thanks for the support Kev. Same for me with PlayStation honestly. I didn’t get one until 2014.
While playing castle crashers savior beat me up, stole my princess, and took all my gold. Im shaking crying and frowing up in the abandoned mill :(
I can get you the dog pet if you want?
Fun fact about Castle Crashers is that all of the music was created and voted on by the community at Newgrounds. It blew my mind hearing stuff I'd listened to before on that site being played in game. God I miss Newgrounds :(
I never actually knew that. That makes me love the game even more.
I'm not sure if both of these counted as arcade, but I really enjoyed Fez and Trials Evolution. Never got to play the sequel Trials Fusion but I had way too many hours the former 2. Trials is also one of the most aggravating games on the planet.
Fez was a treat to play. If you've never done a deep dive on the making of that game there is a good documentary on it all. Highly recommend it.
You got me with the Castel crashers. So many good memories! Definitely downloading again. Now to find someone to play with!
Have fun!
great video dude, loving the commentary. my favourite xbox live arcard game was probably castle crashers and for all of the reasons you listed. it's a cult classic and an absolute steal for $15
Play with me sometime??? 👉🏻👈🏻
This is your most underrated video. My favorite Arcade game was Raskulls, it was a game in which you raced your friends using skull characters and you had to break many blocks to traverse. I also liked one called Doritos Crash Course. Me and my friends had a blast with those, I really miss split screen multiplayer.
Doritos Crash Course was a banger. Also thanks, I really loved making this video.
Savior? Making another great video? Sign me up.
Love the discussion about Castle Crashers. Definitely my favorite from the Arcade Era, and I'm still waiting for a Castle Crashers 2... I want it so badly.
The Geometry Wars shoutout was also awesome! That game was my go to "waiting for a download" game. I needed something that would fill the 20 minutes while another game downloaded, and it was super easy to just boot up for a bite-sized bit of fun.
Now as for me, three personal favorites were The Dishwasher, Bomberman Live, and Raskulls.
Raskulls was a fun puzzle platformer where you were basically playing to clear out a section of blocks to reach the goal. It felt like a weird blend of old-school platformer games like the 2D Mario games, mixed with a sort of Arkanoid style block breaker to get to the goal. Plus the characters and style were very charming.
Bomberman Live was an awesome PVE and PVP Bomberman experience. But going back to your cosmetics video for a moment, the biggest draw was all the cool costumes you could unlock to deck out your personal Bomberman Avatar
And, of course, The Dishwasher games. Two old-school, side scroller beat em' ups with a very unique art style and some absolutely insane bosses. The second game is still an all time favorite for me and I'd recommend them to anyone who likes a challenging beat em up adventure.
As usual, love the video. Always a high point of my day when a new Savior talk-tank drops. Looking forward to whatever comes out next!
Loved Raskulls. There were so many games I could have talked about in this video. It could have easily been 5 hours long.
Thanks for the constant support gamer.
My favorite Xbox arcade game was castle miner Z, was pretty much like Minecraft although you get all different types of crazy weapons with your in game character being your Xbox avatar, I remember many light night sessions with friends and random people of us just goofing around and having fun
Castle MinerZ was hype
Not sure if this qualified as an Xbox Live Arcade Game, but I definitely remember Fusion Frenzy Being on there. definitely a good time, and definitely would say my favorite Arcade game :)). Great video, cant wait for more
Fusion Frenzy was on the original Xbox. Sold retail. Honestly it counts as an arcade game for me. The fact that they haven’t brought it back is sinful. I loved that series.
Used to love taking part of my weekend to download all the different arcade demos and try out as many games as I could. Geometry Wars consumed the most playtime though for sure
Geometry wars will always be Goated
I used to play castle crashers with my friends on the ps3. We loved playing it. But after going back to it after like 10 years I didn’t find I enjoyed it as much anymore. Mind you my friends still loved it lol
It was definitely a blast as a kid. I remember it being much longer.
I look forward to you buying all of us Castle Crashers 🥰
Read the fine print!
Mmmm I will always remember and love Doritos crash course. Used to play it so often that I could sense a DLC update that was never going to come :)
Will always be a banger
Hey bro, I just watched all your videos. Please don’t stop making them. You have a good voice and personality for this. Keep it up
I appreciate that! I also appreciate you visiting my older videos. Granted this video was made 11 months ago as of me posting this comment, but this video in particular is my favorite. It hits close to home.
Omg State of Decay was so fun but soooo stressful at times 😅 I'm glad they got us a sequel, they added a TON to it in updates, its pretty damn different vs. Launch
I need to go back into state of decay 2
I didn't play it back when it was new but after playing it earlier this year Call of Juarez gunslinger is absolutely one of my favorite games of all time and castle crashers as well as terraria have been in my top 20 games since i played the demo/trial versions over and over as a kid
Call of Juarez is a classic case of hidden gem.
I remember playing Watchmen: The End is Neigh through Xbox arcade and feeling hyped as fuck after reading the comic and seeing the movie. Xbox arcade was definitely a magical time, bite size games on console were so foreign before that and it paved the way for the insane amount of cool little indie games on game pass now.
Watchmen: The End is Neigh was something I watched my brother play. Loved watching that playthrough. Game pass also definitely has some heavy hitters now as well.
Yes I do. Castle Crashers and Super Meat Boy live in my heart rent free.
Both are bangers
The amount of countless hours I lost to behemoth games (Alien Hominid, Castle Crashers, Battleblock theatre) back in the day :')
I’m waiting patiently for castle crashers 2
Doritos Crash Course 1 and 2 were my JAM, i used to love those games. they kinda introduced me to the concept of speedrunning kinda, needing to optimise your runs etc., it was a big part of my gaming lifetime
Speedrunning in Doritos crash course was the best with friends.
Oh god yes!
Was just talking about arcade with my friends yesterday
Arcade games were Goated
Haha that’s a cool story about your dad. My dad was the high score holder for Pac-Man in a tournament, they’d probably get along well
1 v 1 with our dads?
@@MrSaviorHD yes
castle crashers is a beat 'em up master piece, i still have it on my xbox one and play it from time to time. I have probably played through the entire campaign co-op with friends at least a dozen times and another dozen times solo
Castel Crashers 2 needs to be a thing some day.
@@MrSaviorHD I agree big time. Behemoth games was really cool being created by Tom Fulp who also created newgrounds. Tom fulp and Dan Paladin's first game was Alien hominid as a flash game on newgrounds and went on to make castle crashers and battleblock theatre. as far as i know the company still exists but they haven't done much more than rereleases and ports over the last 5 or so years
another banger video savior
Thank you gamer
I've never used an xbox before but this video still goes hard
I appreciate the support gamer
No mention of the fact that it started on the original Xbox
Ya I regret not saying anything, but I was more so on the topic of just the 360 Era for this video.
@@MrSaviorHD Yeah there wasn't a ton. It was heavily done via magazine discs actually(You can get one full game and like 20 demos if you get all 3).
Apparently it was one of several features, like some Xbox Live UI improvements akin to what Halo 2 has, or that Video Chat camera that Japan got, that was half done and never finished due to how quickly the 360 came out. The original Xbox barely had 4 years around. Makes me wonder how much more fleshed out it would be if they delayed the 360 a year to fix the red ring and gave the Original Xbox more time to develop itself. Even with just the 4 years it was around it had easily the most advanced live system of the day.
With the recent original Xbox exploits you can get all those old games for free now.
Castle crashers was the tits back in the day, we put in some HOURS on that bad boi.
I still go back to it every once in a while.
I don't remember there being this many amazing arcade games but I do remember the amazing feeling I had when I found your channel for this first time #SummerOf69
Thank you gamer. I feel blessed.
Xbox Arcade went hard fr fr
Fr fr
Giving this a thumbs down cuz you baited with Limbo being your fav game. Lole jk great vid!!
I realized that after I rendered the video lmao
Charlie murder was the best xbox arcade game
Underrated. 100%
State of Decay 2 is so disapointing when comapred to the 1st game
RoboBlitz is still one of the best times I've had with games. I still cannot BELIEVE they got that game to fit in just 50MB... (XBL Arcade's early game size limit). I also played more Hexen HD than I'd ever want to admit lol.
