Is anyone watching at this time? I'm getting today's video up way late but had a mess of issues making this one... so happy it's finally done! It's 7PM here, let me know what time it is where you are!
This video was so thoughtfully done and so helpful! You are THE ONLY "Over 50" RUclipsr I trust when it comes to foundation and concealer recommendations. Actually, Angie, I happily find that you are simply ALWAYS right when it comes to skin care and make up!
I have a few mature lovelies I also follow as unfortunately Angie and I have completely different skin types. So what works on her doesn’t mean it will work on me. Angie’s skincare vids have been very very helpful indeed. Found her back in 2016. Game changer. Sparked an obsession lol! I haven’t come out of the rabbit hole yet! :)
When I go to Sephora (or other shop) to test shades, I also bring individual packets of Neutrogena makeup wipes. It works better than regular tissues to wipe off the swatches on my arm (or neck or face) and gives me clean canvas to test more. I love you did the swatches on white paper, I do the same. But I use kitchen paper towel instead. It absorbs better - dries faster. And one more thing to bring is a mirror. Not all stores have good mirrors under good light. When you test swatches on your neck or face, you want to see it under various lights.
I have been told by MUA’s and brand representatives, for a very long time, that my undertone is neutral. I have also been told by them that my depth of color is light. As a result, I have always struggled to find the right foundations and concealers, never getting a good match. In replacing my makeup (after losing it all), I mistakenly bought a foundation that I thought I’d end up giving away because it didn’t meet those criteria. It was fair and cool. It matched my skin perfectly! Those that where light and neutral didn’t at all. It was a makeup revelation for me and explained the struggles I’d experienced for decades. Once you find the right depth and undertone for your skin, it can change your makeup experience from bad to blissful.
MAN!!!! I’m so glad someone is addressing this…I’ve wasted so much $$ on S&H, returning liquid makeup for one reason or another. I purchased Dior foundation (at your recommendation) and I’m in love. Luckily I chose the perfect match. Thank you for this great review.
This is such a useful video. I often buy too light a shade because those dots are always much darker than the actual shade! You put it on, gasp, and pray for oxidation. And it’s so true that brands vary in shade types! What Milani calls “light” is super fair and most brands call light around your shade. I usually wind up looking for swatches and models.
"I don't think it's an US problem, I think it's a THEM problem." Well said! Foundation manufacturers are often downright colorblind. Not only do they get undertones wrong a lot (I have trouble finding cool-toned foundations that aren't ORANGE), they also have problems getting out enough shades (hello, lightest foundation shade that's still three shades too dark for me!)
Samples are fabulous! Have been trying (and failing miserably) to find a replacement for my current discontinued foundation. After reading lots of reviews I went to Sephora and got 2 samples after they shade matched me. Able to try on over my moisturizer and a couple different sunscreens and to my surprise the foundation I thought I'd end up buying isn't the one I purchased. Great service, thanks Sephora!
You mentioned finding an influencer who has the same skin color, and I had forgotten that you're my skin twin! I haven't had to buy a new foundation in years, but now I find I'm in the market. So... I'm binge watching you the last couple weeks trying to find a great color match that doesn't settle in my pores. Thanks for everything!
I just want to say that I appreciate your honest opinions. Others on you tube suggest items simply because they are being paid by the company they are pitching that day. You actually try them, test how make up wears all day and offer your honest opinion if they work for you or not. I have tried a few of your recommendations, and have been pleased with them. Thanks so much for your honest approach.
Years watching you test a new makeup, I have learned exact isn't always achievable. And what to do if the shade is off. PLUS I have found my influencer who is my exact match and buying what she buys is an absolute breeze. 30 in Chanel, 3n in Loreal, Buff N in Lancome Concealer! Does she sound like a perfect match for you too? She should, it's YOU! 💋
I have a light pinky (cool) complexion and have found most foundations to be too warm. The L.A. Girl Pro color Foundation Mixing Pigment in shade GLM714-Blue has been a game changer for me, and is particularly helpful at this time of year (autumn) when my tan is fading. I only use the tiniest drop and it makes a huge difference!
Ditto! That blue color mixer has rescued all of my too yellow foundations. Watch the mixing very carefully so that you don’t get a green undertone. You’ll look dead.
Samples are also great for checking texture, coverage, glow, and fragrance. For example, after Angie's first video, I wanted to try the Sephora Best Skin Ever. The clerk and I found a very promising shade. As usual, I got my sample. When I opened it at home, away from the sensory overload of the store, I realized it had a scent I could not deal with. I also use a "skin double" on RUclips. For me, it's Zabrena, though I'm not a redhead. If a color works for her, it's usually a great match for me. She has oily skin, I don't, but we both dislike dewy foundation. I might be old enough to be her mom, but I get a lot of good recommendations from her.
Unfortunately, the Best Skin Ever foundation has alcohol in it, and I have very dry and sensitive skin. So it's a hard pass for me. I can't spot the fragrance ingredient(s) in the ingredients list, but I don't doubt that they're in there - it's just one(s) that i don't recognize. I learned the hard way to not to buy skin care or makeup products with alcohol or fragrance. I do NOT enjoy eczema breakouts on my face! I have prescription eczema medications to use when it happens, but it takes several days for them to work. So I walk around with red, itchy patches on my face!
@@20thcenturyrelic I didn't realize there was fragrance in it until I got my sample home. Then I did a deep dive into the ingredients and found a "fragrance compound" - an ingredient that can both scent the product and do other things. I don't remember the name, sorry. Fragrance and (a little) alcohol don't bother my skin, but I don't want my skin care or makeup to compete with my perfume!
I love how you mention finding an influencer who is your color match and trying the colors that they wear. I have had that same thought myself … and YOU are my color match! 😀 Light-medium range, trending neutral. Thanks for the inspo!
This video is so informative! I always find it to be extremely hard to find my perfect foundation match because I have light olive skin tone, and usually brands don't carry much olive shades and when they do it already starts on a medium skin tone, never light or pale.
Angie…I appreciate your helpful tips and makeup guidance for the fifty and over crowd no matter our ethnicity…I thank you from the bottom of my heart…May Jah’s light shine on you always…Sharon 🇺🇸🇯🇲
Hi Angie. I'm in the Caribbean, Trinidad 🇹🇹, it's 7:45 pm here. Monitoring hurricane 🌀 Ian at the moment, which is off the coast of Florida. Hope you're safe. Tip for people with warm undertones: warm shades are either olive or golden. I'm a golden warm so olive tones look wrong even though it's warm. My loreal true match perfect shade is 4.5 , fresh beige. I've noticed that some warm shade names don't match the color, so that's another thing to be aware of.
I literally just went through this!! My hubby and I were in NY and forgot my concealer. While there, I wanted to try the new Hourglass foundation. I was told I would like the Haus Labs foundation better. We “swatched” both on opposite sides of my fave. I got “color matched” for the Haus. Started to use it but thought something was off. When I got back home to Houston, I went to my local store. Explained my situation and how I was second guessing myself in ALL my foundations. They used their computer to color match me for the Haus. Turns out, I got the wrong shade in NY after being “color matched”!?!? So I got color matched for my other foundations while there. Also was told that some companies are “opposite” of what it says. It’s confusing enough to find the right shade and they now throw this in!!! Thank you so much Angie for making this a bit more simple!!
I actually bring my “ good match” foundation to the store with me and do swatches in store. I find that makes comparing color, texture, finish, dry down, oxidation, etc, more accurate than comparing them after the “good” one has already dried or possibly worn off a little. I’ve also done the white paper swatch side by side with a skin swatch and, surprisingly, they were quite different when dry. It’s all such an annoying process!!
This was so useful. I’ve followed you for years and just want to again send you heartfelt thanks for sharing your experiences matching foundation/concealer in such a creative and methodical manner. You’ve made my beauty/graceful-aging routine so much HAPPIER and INFORMED and FOCUSED, so thank you for freeing up my mind for other things 🤗🌸😘
What really slays me is when I finally find the “perfect” foundation it’s discontinued! Living in Michigan with season changes I need a couple depending on the time of year. I will try to match my neck versus an arm or wrist. Great tips!
Yes I have rarely been color matched at a store and had it been right! (Why is the lighting in Sephora so bad?) I’ve used your suggestions to color match and that really helps! Also dislike when makeup brands use weird numbers and letters instead of color names. Thanks for all your content! I’m trying to get better about hitting the like button but I watch it all!
I took your advice and used my favorite shade from home on a white piece of paper and took it to ultra. Thank you so much! It worked awesome to find my shade and discard a few brands!!!!
From someone who works with both online and print images, I have one tip for interpreting color online. Always have your monitor or mobile phone on the brightest setting. If you are on an iPhone, turn OFF “True Tone”. It’s not perfect, but it will help you see the color and shade better.
Great tips! I've always been a shade matching enigma. I'm pretty fair but match to a light-medium. It's the strangest thing. I've gone in to either Sephora or Ulta multiple times for color matches and their first instinct is to go for the fair (sometimes even porcelain) shades and I try to tell them but they never believe me, lol They're always so shocked every time they have to go up another shade. It's weird but by now at the age of 50 I've learned that most light-medium neutral shades will work for me. I like the idea of taking your best shade on a piece of paper into the store.
I am the same. I'm fair but I have a tan hue to my skin that puts me in a bit darker than expected category. Anytime I've gone with their suggestion, I end up walking out with makeup that is too light and too pink.
I am same time zone in NC and yes I am watching!! You are my skin twin in color, texture, type and age so I always wait for you to try a foundation or concealer first. You never steer me wrong!! Thanks!!
Angie, that Loreal Trumatch in your shade is my best, so far. I tried it after watching your demo on it. 😀 I'm 'fair' but have 'low chroma'...(i.e., light but not bright skin. - to the point that a light shade with an olive undertone looks good on me (a true light olive ) - there are only a couple brands that have 'olive' tone right (that I know of). For some reason most brands seem to think an olive undertone just naturally means dark golden. A true olive undertone is not golden. Believe it or not, olive toned skin is actually a cool, not warm, undertone. Most brands have it wrong. The veins on the inside of my arm are aqua, and neutral undertones generally work pretty good for me. My eyes are aqua also, with gold flecks, but depending on what I'm wearing they can look more green, or sometimes blue. I have weird coloring. 😕
Well have to say, Angie that I am typically a lurker and do not normally add a comment, but your videos are really always my favorites. You have the same skin tone that I have but my makeup changes because I wear lighter shades in winter and more light/medium neutrals during the summer. I am outside a lot in the summer working in the yard and walking around the neighborhood.. I somehow never burn...I can lie in the sun and tan a little bit ..but I don’t really tan much when out and about. I have no skin issues and look at least 10 years younger than my actual age...due to me always moisturizing and eating healthfully. I have never had any vices, and just take supplements and have never been on any medications. I am a big believer in homeopathic medicines which always work for me quickly if I ever come down with anything,..which is rare,
Good idea about using the paper. I find that my summer skin is deeper than my winter skin, even when using sunscreen. So I generally need two foundations. Using the paper method will allow me to try out new foundations on the market before my skin lightens or darkens. Thanks!
As for men wanting to wear foundation, it is very very hard. The right shade, the facial hair that gets in the way, the makeupy look, the acne-prone skin... I just gave up ! Instead, when I want a perfect-skin illusion that would be as natural as possible, I manage to do it with powder and a spray of thermal water to blur everything and to avoid looking like I applied something creamy on my face. Because, no matter how light-weight it is, a foundation and even BB/CC creams are noticeable on men. I make my own powder based on dry pink clay, cornflour, silica micro-beads, lauroyl lysin talc and zinc oxide. Not only it is natural, it's invisible, but it also benefits the skin. Thank you Angie for your video which is always nice to watch !
I am watching late and in bed, here in West Monroe Louisiana. I have watched your videos for years and I Love and Trust your recommendations. Thank you.
Hi Angie. Last time I went to Sephora I brought my own makeup brushes. Thick opaque swipe on face helps. I have also noticed that since they added more dark shades I am actually closer to the fairer shades. My foundation has been oxidizing dark on my skin. I am light medium with warm undertones. It’s been hard to find yellow with some orange .
I think one problem with "neutral" foundations is the idea that neutral=peachy, as in a mix between warm golden and cool pink gives you a peachy/orangey color. And sure, that's a thing, yellow+pink=peach. However, some of us neutral girls actually need a more gray undertone! Otherwise we look like oompa loompas! :D Revlon Colorstay in 150 Buff is a good example of what I think of as a true neutral, it's not peachy at all.
Omg, I agree 100%!! It's the gray missing in foundations nowadays! Just like the discontinued CYO foundation, it had that gray base & people freaked UNTIL they put it on & blended out and it was perfection for so many!! Even in the lighter shades it still had the gray so it made even fair skin more attractive. Does anyone know of any others with that grayish base? Any brand at any price for the shade match! Shiseido is the only one I've seen that comes close in cool shades. I just can't believe other people might understand what I've been trying to say?! Thank you for sharing!! 🤍
@@Bunny11344 I don't really have any other suggestions. The brand CYO had a foundation that was true neutral, then they discontinued it. I'd recommend watching Taylor Wynn's foundation reviews, she was a good match for the CYO so I use her swatches and wear tests to judge shades. If it looks too golden or peachy on her, it probably won't work for me either.
SOOOO thankful for these tips!! Here in the U.K. we cannot return makeup after trying it, which makes it really difficult to select a shade - unless we go to a department store for an assistant to help. This is such a helpful video, thanks Angie!
Good evening Angie it’s a very good way to shade match I sometimes put my foundation on paper & take it with me but a thing I had to remember is to wait until the foundation drys Thank you for sharing see you next time 🌺🌸
This video was incredibly helpful. I never find a good match, mostly because I make the error of selecting based on name/number. I easily have 15 foundations that I have swatched but never worn (I am so bad about returning items within the allotted time). And, when I look at the models, I can never find someone with my colouring, mostly because I don't really know if I am considered fair or light. It's all so confusing. I've spent hundreds of dollars on foundation that I'll never use. But, no more! Thanks, Angie, for this brilliant, much-needed and much-appreciated tutorial.
Trish Hunt - I believe that 'Fair' is paler than 'Light' and is the palest tone on the shade spectrum. I always see 'Fair' by itself. But 'light' can be by itself, or can be 'Light-to-Medium.' Have never seen a 'Fair-to- Medium' shade.
I don't know if I'm the only one like this, but ever since COVID and I started working from home I don't like to wear as much make up. In fact, I usually only wear mascara, eye brow color, and lip gloss. However, I put all of my time, money, and effort into skin care. I buy almost everything Angie recommends for skin care ( I haven't bought the light thing yet). Anyway, I'd love some tips and tricks on how to look great with very minimal make up. For example, one thing I've started doing is using self tanner on my face - that way it has some color and I only have to mess with it about 1-2 times per week. I love your channel Angie, I've been watching since I was 40 (7 years).
Thanks for this video. I live 45 minutes to an hour away from the nearest Sephora or Ulta so I buy most foundations from Walmart, CVS or Walgreens. I too have tried matching by holding my shade match next to other foundations to try and find my shade in a new foundation. Most Walmart's, Walgreens and CVS stores will allow makeup to be returned.
Hey Angie! I've been doing the white paper trick for color matching all makeup items for years! Especially for concealers, and any color items I've loved that have been discontinued. I don't use regular foundations because of moody rosacea patches; I switched to BareMinerals OG Original loose mineral powders years ago. Two or three adjoining shades allow for every possible rosacea mood, with one in the matte form, and I can avoid the problems of texture and consistency choices. Simple! Thanks for your focus today!
Thank you very helpful! I'm pale but on the sallow side rather than pink. I tend to buy neutral toned foundation and concealer and the shades that work for Angie often work for me too. An exact match can make me look yellow. Thank you Angie for your down to earth advice. I have many of your videos saved so I can rewatch!
You are my shade match influencer! I’ve tested it multiple times. I write down your colors and then go get shade matched. They always pick the color you have. Thanks for making my Makeup life easy!
Thank you Angie for doing this video. You were a lifesaver during covid and continue to provide excellent information on products I have been hesitant to try. We share the same skin tone, so I no longer have to guess. ❤
Holy 😱 ! Soooo many fantastic ideas! These are such great ideas, I feel like I should have been doing these things already; but it just goes to show you can ALWAYS learn something new!!! Thank you so much!!!
Hi Angie! You’re genius! This video is super useful! I’ve watched a ton of Sephora video beauty tips-never seen something like this that would make make up shopping a lot easier and without having to return items multiple times! ❤
Hi Angie. Sometimes I think it's a roll of the dice situation. I'm a light warm. I can never find a shade to match in It Cosmetics. It's an utter nightmare. Everything leans gray. Even using the shade match on Sephora doesn't always work. I just ordered the new Hourglass foundation from Nordstrom and hoping I chose the right shade. I truly think that if you are purchasing online, there should be an option to purchase samples. My best shade match is a NYX foundation in Warm Vanilla. I've yet to find anything that comes close. That's a great idea to bring the foundation that works with you when buying in store. Very helpful. Thanks so much❣❤
I did this same thing brought my paper with my best color match swatch and matched it! Best way to do it!! Thank you for your video! Hope you are well!
First I thought " oh no undertones...blah...blah.." Then I watched the Video and thought "those are very good tipps and the most useful I have ever heard of". Thank you so much Angie ❤️❤️❤️❤️ I Love you ❤️❤️❤️
Very helpful! I feel so bad about waste too and hate going to the mall so I end up trying to make the shade work… Using your method I can easily go to a stand alone Ulta and get the right shade. Also, I too find it frustrating when even the online matches says Neutral, but in reality a cool would have been better. Thank you so much!
When I was younger I was diagnosed with PCOS I’m now menopausal but my neck is still darker than my face. For years I would match my face and have to cover my neck to match. When I was in my late 40s I finally figured out to match my neck instead of my face and I’m not covering my neck in foundation anymore. Just something to think about if you have my same issue.
I was a PCOS patient too for many years. Don't know what it had to do with skin tone on my neck, but when rosacea joined the party, I changed over to BareMinerals OG Original loose mineral powders for foundation. Two, or three, adjoining shades made matching my face so much easier, especially when that rosacea flares up. I still won't wear traditional liquid or cream foundations. I've been spoiled!
it's wild how different everyone is. BareMinerals powder was one of the 1st products I could pinpoint as directly causing an immediate rosacea flare for me.
@@jessicastevens5782 Speaking from about 30 years of experience, rosacea can be very tricky. The triggers are definitely individual. I have learned to avoid alcohol and fragrance in skin care and makeup, and that helps. But once in a while, even my tried and true products bother me. My dermatologist prescribed a compounded lotion that's 15% azelaic acid, 1% metronidazole, and 1% ivermectin that's done wonders for my redness. I suspect the miracle ingredient is the azelaic acid. Since it's compounded, I spend about $300 USD a year on it, but it's worth it to me.
@@20thcenturyrelic Yes, I've heard from several sources that Azelaic acid is the answer for rosacea. But I have to be careful about anything compounded with it, like metronidazole (which in higher concentrations is known as Flagyl, a powerful antibiotic for gut problems) and ivermectin (which in higher concentrations is a miticide and can have detrimental effects on the immune system). I'm also on a beta blocker, an ARB, and a calcium channel blocker for blood pressure issues which contributed to a bleeding ministroke a few months back. I also just recently was weaned off an anticholinergic I took for over three years for bladder issues, which my docs strongly suspect also set me up for the stroke. So any treatment for my rosacea has to be doctor-guided and must take lower priority than other issues. But thanks for giving me more to ask about on my next dr.'s visit!
Spot on Angie with everything you said in the beginning of this video. So so true. I have been going through a phase where I just cannot find a foundation I really really like. If the formula is meh then I find a shade that looks good conversely if I find a foundation that has a great formulation for me the shades are a joke! I ask myself what I’m the world are these companies thinking!? The best thing I ever had was when a pro makeup artist would make a personal match for me mixing it up from scratch. She was my makeup artist I would go to for makeup and brows boy do I miss those days. Ty for doing such a thorough review on a very hot topic. Xx
Thanks for the information. I think the color match is the absolute hardest thing about buying makeup. I'm going to use your tips the next time I buy foundation. !!
It’s 5:15 am as I’m watching this! This is why I don’t wear make up because I don’t have a clue & I’m too old to try! I’d love to be able to but can’t afford to buy all this stuff! Thank you for all you do to try & help!🥰
I'm here (7pm). Perfect timing for me because I was babysitting my 4 mo old granddaughter earlier. I rely on your perfect shades because they will be mine! Makes it easier for me! 👍🏻Yes, yes, great suggestion swatching on paper!! I've even taken a bottle of foundation to the store with me. Pump a drop of it on my hand and then a sample pump of what I think might match! That was before I found you 😉 Now I just pull up your channel on my phone and look for what shade is best for you! 🥰
Great ways to match a shade your already wearing for sure. But for first time picking a shade for foundation, you need to swatch it along jaw line and bit to neck area, for best match. So matches skin on face. Let dry a bit because colors definately can oxidize. Especially of more oily skinned.
Such a brilliant video! In Australia as far as I know we cannot return makeup we have opened and in drugstores there are no testers since Covid so this is such a help!! Thank you. You put so much effort into your videos, I've been a subscriber since your very early days!
Hi Angie. This is a great video. So informative. What a great tip. To go make up shopping with the swatch to compare is brilliant. Sending you sunshine from Oz xxx 💃🌺🌏
This was very informative! You are so right about choosing a match for foundation! I had never thought about putting swatches on paper as a way to match foundation. Things were really tough when there weren’t any samples out for testing and we were purchasing on line hoping we made a good choice. Thanks ☺️ I was late looking for you but I was very very glad to see you pop up!
7:37 pm here (eastern US) and not expecting a video from you at this time. However, it’s a great topic and and happy you are talking about it. For a long time I thought I was the only “neutral” that had issues with neutral foundations 😊
Nice, helpful tips that I definitely use myself. Sephora’s shade match tool hasn’t worked right for me in a couple of years though. Just recently I’ve had it tell me there was no shade match, but I ordered the shade I thought I needed and it was a great match. I’m light-medium cool and their tool often points me to a medium warm shade. 😂. Temptalia’s website had an excellent shade match tool. Much better than Sephora, IMO.
I have found that peachy-pink foundations are most flattering on my fair/light neutral/cool skin because they balance the warmth I have on my neck. I don’t swatch on my arm (because I always have self tanner on) and instead will swatch on my neck and chest. Anything to yellow will make me look ashy on my face and will make the red on my chest more obvious.
Is anyone watching at this time? I'm getting today's video up way late but had a mess of issues making this one... so happy it's finally done! It's 7PM here, let me know what time it is where you are!

Love Zabrena!!
I found a skin double also! And yes, I could be her Mom😂. When I was young I had the very dark hair she has.... It does help !
Wouldn’t it be amazing if we could all find a skin double? 🤔🤔
Also keeping an eye on Ian here! Great tips for warm undertones! Thanks!! xo ~a.
Clever and very helpful! And, if you cannot tell the difference in color between your face and neck, you know you've nailed it! Thanks, Angie!
Omg...thank you for this video. It was so helpful!!! Natural light and drying are 2 things that get missed. 👏👏👏👏😁
The piece of paper & a pencil for testing is a brilliant idea! I’ll try it next time. ❤
Great tip!
Finally! A practical guide to color matching! Thank you, Angie!
I'm 'fair' but have 'low chroma'...(i.e., light but not bright skin.
Thanks!
What great ideas? So simple, coming from a 55 year old that has never found a color that really is a match! Thank you 💐
This is the most informative videos for finding foundation. Thanks for breaking it down .
Finding foundation’s with the right color match is the most frustrating part of it all.. thank you !!
I totally agree!
And it's even worse when you have very dry, sensitive skin and must avoid alcohol and fragrance!
Yes we need a nice neutral olive 😊
Omg, I agree 100%!! It's the gray missing in foundations nowadays! Just like the discontinued CYO foundation, it had that gray base & people freaked UNTIL they put it on & blended out and it was perfection for so many!! Even in the lighter shades it still had the gray so it made even fair skin more attractive. Does anyone know of any others with that grayish base? Any brand at any price for the shade match! Shiseido is the only one I've seen that comes close in cool shades. I just can't believe other people might understand what I've been trying to say?! Thank you for sharing!! 🤍
Exactly 💯
Omg yass girl!!! You totally described my issues with neutral foundations. Do you suggest any other brands besides relvon?
Good evening Angie it’s a very good way to shade match
I sometimes put my foundation on paper & take it with me but a thing I had to remember is to wait until the foundation drys
Thank you for sharing see you next time 🌺🌸
Once again, you've knocked it out of the park with some fabulous tips! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks so much!
I have done swatches on paper and have success. Thanks for your help and tips.
But 'light' can be by itself, or can be 'Light-to-Medium.'
Have never seen a 'Fair-to- Medium' shade.
I only saw this after I was in Sephora trying to get a shade match, which was NOT successful. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
YOU ARE THE BEST!!!💕😁
I would've never thought of swatching my current foundation. Thanks for the tip!
So glad you did this! I am your foundation shade so I just buy what you get and its perfect. Thanks Angie for all of your hard work
This proves you are a genius!TY Angie for
your dedication…foundation shopping is the equivalent of swim suit or denim shopping!
And, I cannot use Bare Minerals due to one ingredient. Jane Iredale works for me.
Love the swatches on paper idea! Thank you so much ❤
Great. This is so sensible. Loved it. Thank you. May you please take care and stay safe.
One of your best videos to date!! And I’ve been watching you since you began your channel. Top notch, Angie!
You are my shade match influencer! I’ve tested it multiple times. I write down your colors and then go get shade matched. They always pick the color you have. Thanks for making my
Makeup life easy!
I have to say, spot on with the Dior foundation. Wow, so very nice. Thanks for that video and your review!!
Thanks so much❣❤
Wow, Angie! This is one of the best posts I've ever seen! I work professionally with a higher-end beauty brand and everything you say is spot on.
I did this same thing brought my paper with my best color match swatch and matched it! Best way to do it!! Thank you for your video! Hope you are well!
A huge thank you! Would love to see a comparison of under eye correctors that can also be used as concealer.
First I thought " oh no undertones...blah...blah.." Then I watched the Video and thought "those are very good tipps and the most useful I have ever heard of". Thank you so much Angie ❤️❤️❤️❤️ I Love you ❤️❤️❤️
agreed so hard to color match! Please review the hourglass ambient soft glow foundation! love the finish but having a hard time color matching!
Angie your skin looks incredible. Thanks for this video. So helpful💕😊
Xx
This one is sooo helpful! Thank you! I’m taking my paper to Nordstrom tomorrow.
Thanks for the information. I think the color match is the absolute hardest thing about buying makeup. I'm going to use your tips the next time I buy foundation. !!
By far, one of your best vid , Bravo! All I needed to know/reminder is there. You did a amazing job. very helpful., thanks.
Hi Angie, it's 4pm here in AZ. Timing just right! Thanks
It’s 5:15 am as I’m watching this! This is why I don’t wear make up because I don’t have a clue & I’m too old to try! I’d love to be able to but can’t afford to buy all this stuff! Thank you for all you do to try & help!🥰
The paper reference was a great idea!
Yes!!!! Thank you for this video. I needed a lil help. Love you Angie🥰
Especially of more oily skinned.
really good information Angie, putting swatches on a piece of white paper is a great idea. Going to give that a try. Stay well🌺
Such a brilliant video!
Watching Wednesday morning ! Shade matching is so hard!
Thank you ❤this helps me to order online when there is a sale! Very informative 😅
10:00 AM Thursday from Mass. Thank you for this video I forgot how to tell I'm warm. Certainly, easier than just randomly choosing anything.
Awesome tips and tricks Angie!
I struggle with my makeup especially during the summer months. I really appreciate your technique and I can’t wait to try it. Thank Angie 🤗
When I used to tan, I would mix two shades (in a bottle) to use.
Great explanation! And I really enjoy your empirical method!
Angie this was a genius idea 💡 simply genius thank you xoxo Rose 🌹❤️
what a great video, Angie! So clear and full of useful info. Thank you for doing all this work!
Great advice!! I’m headed soon to Ulta w/a gift certificate and this will help so much!! Love your channel. TYSM Angie! 💕
I hope this helps you get a great match!!
Oh wonderful... Swatching my arm is how I choose new makeup. 💄😊
I would love a skin care (with list!) update with Agency :) I so enjoy and appreciate you!
