The console shone is the 64 Channel LS9. Thirty 32 XLR inputs, and 32 more channels available by utilizing the card slots. Rotary encoders, not rotary faders. Your monitor sends, which output are you selecting? Matrix, buss, group, direct? You are refering to an output label and not a console output.
It's true! Q means Quality Factor, aka Q Factor, which is the reciprocal of the filter width, in octaves. So, a Q of 1 represents a filter width of 1 octave (8va) Q of 0.5 is a filter width of 2 octaves Q of 2 is a filter width of 0.5 octaves. etc. Ya see?
@pickersplayspop Thanks for the helpful video. I've been on a wide variety of analog and digital desks (Harrison, Trident, SSL, Neve) but never an LS9. I had a client request to op one and this starter saved me some time while RTFM. :) Quite a nice board really...intuitive. Cheers! And for the rude know-it-alls here...big middle finger! There is always more to learn and those that share their knowledge are to be thanked and encouraged and if need be, politely corrected.
i have an issue with my output..i connect the output cable to speaker but i not understand the meaning matrix, mix, buses all that..analog is more easy than digital
at my church we have this unit and the lead guitar player has over road control from the control panel to his amp.. how can I over ride his amp and control his values on the board??? need you help asap ♨😠♨😠
He has only turned up his guitar amp louder than the PA speakers. Put a microphone on his amp and explain that you will put the right amount of volume through the sound system. And that we will need to operte his on stage amplifier at a lower volume. If he does not comply, tell him this is a standard practice in small venues. AND PROFESSIONAL MUSICIANS ARE ADAPTABLE he will be upset but its the truth. If he decides to have a hissy fit and leave, well thats vanity and if he changes thats humility. Either way the truth will set you free. Church is a place for worship, gratitude and service not for the status of being a sick guitar player.
Q refers to the Quality of a frequency filter, in the sense that a narrow filter is of higher quality than a broader filter. **"Higher Quality" in a sense of better to use, more effective in narrowing** *** Lets just say "Quality" a bad word to use…Freq Width (FW)… yes just made that up, would be more logical. ***
I love this sound boar I worked very closely with this exact board when I was in my high school theater class I'm actually looking into buying one
So much clearer than the manual!
I used this to mix live bands at uni, miss this desk!
need more, your tutorials are great for beginners

I love this mixer table =) pretty hard to learn if someone doesn`t tell main thinks, but i can now mix this table =)
I find that when I pan a channel in the mix bus, FOH mix also gets panned. How do you pan channels in the mix bus without affecting the FOH mix?

Danke very mucho !
do you think this mixer is better for studio recording or for live?
how did you make the quick keys for going to the EQ by pressing the gain and going to dynamics by just pressing them?
do you think is better for recording or live'??

Thanks for this tutorial.. Excellent and informative..
Can I translate this video by Korean?
"Q" is for bandwidth, not "quality".
Q means quality.. quality factor/Q factor
Q does means quality and represents bandwidth actually.
Q refers to the Quality of a frequency filter, in the sense that a narrow filter is of higher quality than a broader filter.
**"Higher Quality" in a sense of better to use, more effective in narrowing**
*** Lets just say "Quality" a bad word to use…Freq Width (FW)… yes just made that up, would be more logical. ***
pickersplayspop I was under the impression that Q stood for quotient.
professional
Thanks
OK
He called Q on a para "quality" brilliant
Хорошо, но если бы на русском!

this video was very slow and boring... informative but doesn't really captivate an audience.
+Ming Lam Sorry, next time I make a tutorial video, I'll be sure to add a boombastic clown on a unicycle juggling dildos while eating rice crispies.
