Does the finished app require internet connection, and in that case, does anyone know how to do a website -> app that does not require internet?
I tried doing this but it cannot be used without internet. So the app should be created like how apps are created then only it will come with apk. But many functionalities that require internet like submit forms would not work without wifi

That was part of it. The other big part is adding in push notifications and a push notification in box. Apple and Google won't approve just a website that has been repackaged as an app. You have to add more. The push notifications and push notification inbox will allow your app to be approved by Apple and Google.

There's an "assets" folder in your app. You can replace the current splash image with your splash image. Delete the current splash image and name yours the same as the one you deleted

I would think yes since Samsung is Android, I think. You should be able to publish the Android app there.

Hi Marshall. Yes you can! Just make sure to follow the push notification setup instructions and send yourself a push notification that shows up in the notification inbox. Google/Apple won't approve just a repackaged website turned into an app. But they WILL approve an app with a notification inbox with push notifications set up. Push notifications with a push notification inbox is enough additional features to get approved by the Apple App Store and Google Play Store

I keep getting an error when I do step number 2 in the terminal. I literally copied and pasted the code from the website to the terminal but it said "npx" is invalid or no path created
You need to install Node on your computer for npx to work. Near the top of the page there is a link to go to to install Node

I'm sorry you're stuck. One thing to mention is you should use the Pixel 3a API 32 Android device on the emulator if you're testing with an Android emulator on a Mac. Sometimes Expo Go crashes on other emulators. Also, open up the Expo app one time on the emulator before updating the code - sometimes the app won't open if you update the code first, I have found

If you're on a Mac, you may have to try "sudo npm install -g eas-cli", so add sudo in the front and then it will ask for your computer password before installing

I would make sure you're using the most up to date version of the native-notify package. That error looks like you're using the older version of the native-notify package from almost 2 years ago.

Only push notifications cost money if you get over 11 subscribers. The app code is free. If you want to keep using push notifications after you have 11 users, you would have to pay for the push notification service.
