Got the van scanned at Autozone. They told my wife she needed two oxygen sensors ($215 total). Watched this video and then took the 15 seconds to reach around the hose and see if there was a crack/hole. Sure enough there was a crack on the bottom. Ordered the hose online and spent a total of $35. Took about 10 minutes to fix. Reset the codes and has been great ever since. THANK YOU!

Thanks. I had only the P0174 code. Prior to that I was noticing a slightly rough idle.
Sure enough, there are splits in the intake hose. A quick duct tape fix will get me through the weekend while I wait for parts departments to open.
    Thanks again.

Thanks for the great explanation on how to diagnose and repair these check engine codes. I would not have thought it was so simple to fix. I was expecting to pay the Kia dealership at least $300 to make this simple repair. My local Autozone in Phoenix, AZ had the replacement part in stock for about $40. I temporarily taped up the intake hose with aluminum duct tape, unhooked the negative battery terminal for about 60 seconds to clear the code, and the check engine light was gone...Thank-you, Thank-you, Thank-you for your effort.

Thanks! My Kia got one of those codes. I watched your video. I inspected my hose, and found a hole right away. I bought a replacement hose, and fixed it myself. Now the engine idles perfect. Thanks again.

Thanks for this! I have a 2009 KIA Sedona that was throwing code P0174. Checked this air manifold/hose part and it was completely cracked underneath with gaping holes just like the one you showed in the video. Cost $55 for the part at a local auto parts store. Cleared the codes and installed the new part and now it's all fixed! Cheers!

I had to buy a hook and pick set to get the intake hose off because it was stuck. This video saved me so much money. Thank you for posting!

Thank you very much!! Going check this now. Changed an air filter on neighbors 2006 Kia Sedona and two days later the code popped up.

FYI the cover and the clamps both use a 10mm socket. At least it was on my 2008 Kia Sedona. And that little hose with the clamp was a miserable pos to take off

Thank you so much for this video. I would have replaced two oxygen sensor and the check engine light would still be coming on and throwing codes. Check the easy stuff first. Peace!!!

I just changed my bellows/accordion for no reason, it was becoming perished but wasn't the problem... I purchased some crc mass airflow cleaner and sprayed the hotwires inside and boom! Scotty does a good video on cleaning the mass airflow sensor!

2004 Sedona with misfire codes p0304, p0301 and it has the same crappy hose. Wondering if it’s the same issue. Going to try looking, worst case some duct tape.

Awesome video, though one sritique, next time let us see the whole bay so we can orient ourselves and please show us the cover on it prior to taking it off. It would help newbies like myself identify what I’m doing before I kill my friends van. Aside from that....AWESOME AND THANK....YOU ....VERY MICH

you did a terrible job of aligning the big clamps to the hose. it is going to fall off soon.
