He has a GOAT P4P argument sure, not HW, his resume at HW isn't the greatest but he's above a few of the greats (the overrated Mike Tyson to name one). He is the best HW of this era though, no doubt.
Surprise by Dubois performance totally dominated that fight. He moves onto bigger and better things. Joshua has to look at himself and ask some questions whether or not he wants it. If he does he going to have correct all those mistakes he made in the fight and there is a lot.
If Hutchinson had a gas tank he'd be a major threat in the division. Boy has it all and never really seemed hurt. Was going down because he was so gassed. That training camp in Marbella must be a joke
I can honestly see Itauma beating Tysons record but what a mistake that will be too early, Usyk beats Fury again then vacates them belts with Moses claiming one
As much of a shock as that main event was and the manner of it. I have looked back through AJ since he turned pro, I do not see ANY version of AJ that comes out the victor against the Daniel Dubois that ravaged him in there on Saturday. He has never been good at covering up when hurt really and always has been ‘chinny’ in the sense that his legs go when hit big… Curious to see what you guys think?
The thing about Joshua is, he NEEDS time to think. He needs thinking time to get his feet set and land huge right hands. But Daniel took away most of any thinking time AJ is used to. NOBODY has went at AJ SPECIFICALLY to KO him, and I think AJ underestimated the ability, speed and power of Dubois and he got caught napping at the end of the first and he was shocked to his very core by that knockdown. He never recovered from the all pervading sense of disaster which was always in the air after the first knockdown. Facing AJ was a 250lb 6’5” absolute powerhouse 27 yr old fit as a fiddle SUPREMELY confident Dubois fighting better every single fight and he was just younger, fresher, fitter, faster, stronger and more determined than AJ was. Simple as that to me. I never doubted Daniel by the way. He’s been the one to watch since the Miller fight. Both Miller and Hergovic were unbeaten heavyweights until they fought Daniel and he stopped them both. Nobody believed in him. Some still don’t! But they must be fools.
That was a humiliating beating AJ took, he looked like an amateur and offered nothing back in the fight..when he took that first punch and went down i knew the writing was on the wall..Dubios was relentless, i thought the fight could go this way but didn't think it would, i seriously think if the rematch happens then it will be over quicker, there was no speed, no timing, no defence or really an offence, i do think if he carries on he'll become the next gatekeeper like chisora..oh and I'm an AJ fan
I am as devasted as any other Joshua supporter in watching his performance last night. Dubois deserved the win and took advantage of all Joshua's flaws. Joshua is not done until he says he's done. On his IG this morning he said he is coming back and fair play to him. He will let us know when he is done. There are so many fights out there for him. Zhang, Parker, Wilder, Hrgovic, Bakole are all great fights. Should he lose against them, then yes it may be time to consider retirement.
Yarde hasn't had a meaningful fight since losing to Bertabiev in Jan23, he'd need to fight a tomato can then a B level fighter so we are realistically looking at a year before he fights Buatsui at least
I think Ben Davison is a good trainer- but he was only supposed to be a keep busy ticking over coach- AJ's 2 wins under Ben Davison where nothing to go by, as were Wallin and an MMA fighter who only had 1 Pro fight in Nganou....... i don't know how much of a right fit Ben Davison is for AJ, especially this late in his career, Davison hasnt got experience with aging fighters who need to train differently in their 30's, need more rest days, I think Robert Garcia actually did a good job in the Usyk v AJ 2 fight but AJ got rid of him- i think Ben is still young as trainer- although he is a good trainer- he needs a hand from Freddie Roach, Robert Garcia, for offense with good defence, maybe Abel Sanchez, Ronnie Shields, maybe Virgil Hunter not as an assistant coach but only for to show Ben or whoever AJ's coach will be, or AJ just need to change coaches althogether, AJ needs to cover up his head- he could probably take a better body. He should Wilder just to complete the game/Joe Joyce in the UK or Saudi, win that fight maybe winner of Fury vs DDD for the IBF- USYK will remain undefeated.....
See Fury out of shape now. That is why he was and will be unfit for the Usyk fight. Shaking off fat is not the same as building cardiovascular fitness. AJ and Fury are both done. Let them fight. See who has what left. Fuck it
Was it this channel where I guessed DDD would simply beat the shlt out of AJ? Prince Turki already put the whole fight on his YT channel and watching it again it seemed even more of a brutal lopsided beatdown. DDD seems to stun him with the first ramrod jab [holy his power jab is hard!] Dubois is way better at every level. He clips AJ with a shock shot by seemingly trained to throw surprising long shots hes not so much known for. Like he prepared for AJ whos very used to being too far back. Dubois also starts deliberately interrupting AJs strongest mode of outside, longbow shots in, out etc. DDD just effs it up for AJ, knowingly as strategy. DDD knows he can engage toe to toe exchanges because he can take every AJ shot just fine but AJ was being stunned by nearly anything Dubois lands. Dubois may have ended that earlier but was so in control, not unlike Ruiz1, he took time until AJ was so reduced there was nothing left to do but hace AJs last hurrah exchange and bang him out. Some respect for AJ he didnt quit like Ruiz1 bit just went out blazing. This wasnt some deal where one just landed a crazy shot or had the better night in a rumble. It was simply DDD beating the shlt out of him in every way, every level as if it were a terrible mismatch.

To be a champion you need to train like one in the gym... If he has been then he is just at that standard BUT I am betting he thinks he has been training like a champ... BET he has been told all is great. In the gym its great to be the hammer but what do you do when you become the nail ? Fight or flight... No guard head high not a great thing to see from any fighter. A smile... sticking tongue out is not going to help your chances its all a bluff. Fury is jut the same all games and those mind games work at a level... Then you step up the level and those mind games no longer work.. What then ? ..... Train hard to fight easy... Or train hard to get through hard moments...or have everyone around you telling you how great you are... This result was no shock at all.. Can he win a rematch ? YIP he can if he is willing to go through what it takes in the gym... Will he win ? Well the least he can do is put in the work to give it a shot. So what if he kept getting up ? He should have had a defense and perhaps he would not have had to. He needs to get the basics in order or take some opponents he can just beat up... We can all be the hammer...
Aj gets a ton of selfconfidence in his camps, but when push comes to shove he falls over. He said before the usyk fight that he can easily sparr 2 boxers, and he'll beat usyk(like it was easy). He gave me the same vibe before this fight. Where were his hands? Was he defending his hip? XD

Do a break down video of all the low blows, the forearms across the throat, the headbutts/leading with the head, the pulling down on the head and punching, the shots to the back of the head?
