It must be so overwhelmingly intimidating for Fury to know that he is going in again with a man who simply will not stop in a fight. No matter what you throw at Usyk he is relentless and he has lived a life of discipline and has never cut corners in his pursuit of greatness. Fury must know that the grains of sand are running out. Furthermore, there is no turning back now and Fury is simply with his training papering over the cracks. Usyk wins by late stoppage.

Maybe he’s planning to come in heavy and try to knock Usyk out within the first 5 rounds. If he doesn’t succeed then his corner will pull him out when he starts to gas with a mysterious injury. That way he could save face, avoid getting battered in the later rounds and even though he’d lose the fight, the optics on the scorecards for the first 5 rounds might have Fury winning. So he could spin that to the public. It’s something I could definitely see Fury doing.

In recent interviews, when he appeared to be in honest no-bullshit mode, he has made a point of saying that he doesn't intend to change anything from the first fight, apart from not getting caught like he did in R9, because he really seems to believe that was the only reason he lost. He gave the impression that to try to bulldozer Usyk the way he did with Wilder II would be a big mistake (which I agree with.) If he was being truthful, and intends to box, then he has nothing to gain and everything to lose by coming in heavier. If he struggled at 262lbs to maintain the constant, intense pace of Usyk thoughout the fight, how on earth will he cope at 290lbs? "Rolling the dice" is a strategy that relies on the opponent losing composure and making a mistake; but it is not a strategy against a machine like Usyk.

Furys biggest wins have been against Wilder and Klitchko and his father couldn't be present at any of them, so he should just leave it to Sugar Hill,1 Singer1Songsheet and the Kronk style is the only way of beating Usyk.
That along with his first introduction to defeat will have opened his eyes and won't want to experience the hurt again and he'll know he can't be showboating as it could costs him Rounds and ultimately the fight.

Issue with Fury is that he isn’t naturally in tune with the lifestyle of an athlete. He is a man who happens to be very skilled at boxing, but with age comes a decrease in speed, an increase in metabolism etc. then you add on the fact Fury struggles with substance abuse…he has to work insanely hard to get into the right mental and physical shape for a boxing match. If we look at it like this…If Usyk retired, he would still train and stay in shape…if fury didn’t have a fight to prepare for he would be out of shape, sniffing a lot more and not training.

He is very agile and has much better movement than lesser boxers who are his size. It’s not simply that he’s big, it’s that he’s a big man who could move like he’s a smaller man. His feints are good as well. I don’t think his head movement is great but his feints really do put fighters on edge

some of you guys haven't worked Fury out yet still... Look at the first Wilder fight which was the hardest fight for fury out of the 3. He came in at just under 260. So in the second fight he came in much heavier at 273 I think? Tactics in the second fight were grab, hold and lean on.
First Usyk fight 260. second Usyk fight probably much heavier around 275. Tactics for second Usyk fight, well have a guess... will it work? Possibly, even for someone as skilled as Usyk, having a 275 pound man putting his weight on you for 12 rounds is very draining and Usyk is definitely not as quick on his feet as he was when he was younger and lighter.

Does putting on weight make a ko more likely? Punches harder snappier and heavier? There may be an optimal curve, with diminishing returns. Is Tyson over that peak?
If Tyson is heavier, he won't be chasing Usyk, and will have to bank on Usyk standing in front of him again. No guarantee there.
I guess Fury will come out firing and to make a mark early. He cannot let Usyk get into the zone.
