AJ's team only cares about the monetary value left. AJ vs Fury is the only really high paying fight left in Joshua's career. And if he loses to dubois twice then the fury fight is greatly diminished.
AJ's lost 4 times and 2 by stoppage where he was repeatedly BLASTED onto the canvas doing the funny dance, by 2 "decent" but not world class fighters in Ruiz and Dubois, plus a lot a people have the opinion that he's a hype job. Therefore any talks about him being "one of the greats" of his era or all time or further damaging his legacy is all gone imho. That's not me bashing the guy BTW. It's a remarkable story and legacy imho, but as to whether he'd further damage his career or legacy by risking a rematch against Dubois and losing badly again? No, I don't see it that way. Like I said, his boxing CV legacy is already at a point where losing a rematch really changes nothing. However, I feel the rewards for him beating Dubois massively outweigh the downsides of losing. The risk to his health would be my only real concern and so given all the money he's made and being seemingly unscathed from his career fights in regards long term brain damage etc, it would make sense not to bother risking it purely from a health position and how he really doesn't have to take this or any other fight, but being a warrior and how much as his life he's committed to boxing, we all know he'll not want to go out like that. That's an ego thing though, but ego's do get people killed rather than taking the sensible path and walking away in good health. AJ will also have that "I genuinely feel I'm good enough to beat Daniel" and "I wonder what might have happened if I took the rematch?" thoughts circling around in his brain eating him up. He'll never be in better physical condition to answer those questions and thoughts than he is now. Once you retire, that's it, you gotta live with your decision and have no regrets because it's too late and you're too old to change it. Given how AJ has said he's stepping back from boxing and going into property development, I think he's made his decision in regards not taking the rematch with Dubois and as sore and humiliating a loss as that was, I think he's OK with it enough not to risk it again.
Fury is probably the only fight worth taking for AJ now. But lets be honest we will all watch whoever he fights Im an AJ fan but i agree.. he simply doesnt deserve the rematch going on the last fight Parker deserves a shot at Dubois and that could be epic
AJ has already taken two immediate rematches. Why does he need to take a third immediate rematch, especially nearing the end of his career after a five-round beating? No doubt, if AJ took the rematch, people would be saying he doesn’t deserve another title shot. He’s between a rock and a hard place, with leeches like SJ waiting to criticise him regardless of his next move!
these are the cases 1.Aj wants to wait for fury in hopes that fury loses to usyk again cuz fury is as equally old as aj both at the end of thier career but that fight makes 3x more money than aj dubois 2 Aj can knock out fury which will be for no belt but the commercial value of that fight plus if Aj wins againt fury his stocks rises again which sets up a huge one last dance with Dubois assuming he is still the champion 2.fightint dubois still makes him some money buh aj will be the underdog prolly underpaid and if he loses aj fury is jeopardy
Eddie Hearn can do a rebuild campaign every time AJ loses and fight 3 bums for £50m each fight and the public will lap it up and pay for tickets or the fight 😂. AJ and Hearn ain’t stupid, go and get £100-150m before another possible loss. Milk the cow
AJ vs Wilder! Cmon....just get it done...fight each other then both retire. AJ probably wants the rematch with Dubois but his team might be advising him to avoid Dubois? And some still shamefully think that Wilder was the one who ducked the AJ fight? 😆🤣 They just said that AJ's team is probably looking at AJ's commercial value and another loss to Dubois hurts that value. It was exactly the same thing and way of thinking these last 6 years when it came for AJ to fight Wilder. Eddie Hearn didn't want his golden goose knocked out and sent into the shadow realm by Wilder which is exactly what would have happened if AJ fought Wilder 6 years ago , 5 , 4 , 3 , or 2 years ago. Smh. AJ is a hype job. His own team and coaches and manager don't believe in him.
If I am trying to think commercially for AJ, I understand why he is not fighting Dubois. Why risk it? If he loses he is done for, if he wins he sort of redeemed himself, but isnt there yet either. I think they are waiting the result of Usyk - Fury. They hope that Fury wins and will try to sell the narrative that Usyk - Fury 3 isnt necessary, because 'This was the real Fury, he didnt take the first match serious and Fury is clearly superior to Usyk. Then they make the AJ - Fury fight right away, because there is always gonna be interest in that match. If AJ doesnt take a fight in the mean time, AJ gets a lot preperation for that fight. They hope that somehow AJ beats Fury and sell the narrative that This version of AJ is his best version which is superior to Fury and therefor superior to Usyk. Against dubois he just had an offday. I dont think this is how AJ thinks, I think he is an amazing fighter and I like him a lot. I wouldn't be surprised however if this is how his team thinks.
Let’s face it Joshua was always stage managed just to make money. He’s been beaten by every true contender. Who wants to see him fight Fury? definitely a fight he could never win. It’s now clear that Joshua always avoided Fury (or at least Eddie Hearn warned him not to take that fight). The only fight out there is whyte or wilder on an under card. 3:28
I think you can see in AJ's body language that he doesn't want it anymore. Probably looking for one last payday either against Fury, or maybe another dust up with Whyte if he comes back. Then retire. Just typing this then Whyte talks about AJ's body language. It is strange to me.
He needs to fight big baby Miller. He went 12 rounds with Daniel so if he can stop big baby. There's a rematch with Daniel and there's history too with big baby.
AJ doesn’t need another beating at his age. Nothing wrong with going back to the drawing board and rebuilding. Better than getting back in still broken. He could get hurt even worse than before. He needs a solid fight before fighting Fury, then win or lose should then have the rematch. If he survives being knocked out by Tyson and Tyson survives being knocked out by AJ, then it will an incredible boxing lesson from Tyson that AJ can learn from going into the Dubious rematch.
Some great memories watching AJ over the years but seems to be coming to the end. Shame all the needless poisonous comments, mostly from UK ''fans''. However, it's criminal that we never got the Fury or Wilder fights when they would have made sense.

We dont want the same fights over and over again....
The same scenario 2 years ago when he lost to Usyk, his team advised him not to take the Tyson Fury fight, yet to this day everyone still blames Fury.
these are the cases
1.Aj wants to wait for fury in hopes that fury loses to usyk again cuz fury is as equally old as aj both at the end of thier career but that fight makes 3x more money than aj dubois 2
Aj can knock out fury which will be for no belt but the commercial value of that fight plus if Aj wins againt fury his stocks rises again which sets up a huge one last dance with Dubois assuming he is still the champion
2.fightint dubois still makes him some money buh aj will be the underdog prolly underpaid and if he loses aj fury is jeopardy
Why risk Dubois when exciting big money fights are there for Joshua with Wilder and Fury? Bot more winnable than the Dubois fight.
Would have been the most pointless rematch of all time. Daniel obviously a bad match-up for AJ. It would a repeat scenario of the last fight.
AJ should be fighting Frazer Clark that’s his level
I agree AJ doesn't deserve a rematch - even if he did he would lose again.
But if your injured and cant go into camp what is he suppose to do now hes getting criticised for this by the same people who said retire
he is not injured.
What's the injury?😊
@@AshPaddyM I think he grazed his knee multiple times when he hit the floor! 😂
I think you can see in AJ's body language that he doesn't want it anymore. Probably looking for one last payday either against Fury, or maybe another dust up with Whyte if he comes back. Then retire. Just typing this then Whyte talks about AJ's body language. It is strange to me.
Even the AJ apologists like Spence cannot defend him no more.
Oliver as an stirring anger internally regarding Joshua. Let it go bro he's hanging on by a string
Joshua is over if he ducks Dubios. Dubios would drop him again, Eddie is saving his cash cow. The fight with Fury or Uysk is pointless now.
AJ won't improve anymore and is only going backwards!
Disappointed in AJ not taking the rematch here.
Some great memories watching AJ over the years but seems to be coming to the end. Shame all the needless poisonous comments, mostly from UK ''fans''. However, it's criminal that we never got the Fury or Wilder fights when they would have made sense.
I think it is the DDD era now tbh
Has AJ already said he's stepping away from the sport to focus on a Real Estate venture ??
AJ should retire. He had a great career. There's no point in risking further damage.
Aj picked up an injury and had multiple knockdowns. I don't see an issue with not taking the fight.
