I'm on the move again, although I'll be a bit more remote these days. Sending you all my best, and I'll be following up with more accessories, and more M1 content because I'm on my way to the Apple store right now!
Hey Kevin! This video was very helpful! Going to be traveling soon for skate trips and business trips! Appreciate you!
Say what!? Appreciate you! I still have your signed board hanging on my wall. So amazing to have you pop over and really glad to help. I really need to get back over here and create some more. I truly hope you’re doing well.
@@KevinRossRN Haha, no problem man! Definitely looking forward to your new videos! That’s super cool man! Still surreal that you still have it hanging up! I am doing extremely well! I hope you are doing well also! 👊🏾💯
RUclips randomly suggested this video... Scary. My wife's uses that big o black brick to walk around the house charging stuff. It's pretty tough and has lots of juice with nfc. The only thing I don't like is that the USB 3.0 slots could be sturdier but that's just nit picking.
Hey, glad you found me. And yes, I’m the same way. Literally walking around seeing what needs a bump charge.
Ha!
I might need to work the USB ports a little more to see if they loosen up. So far been rocking with it about 3 months or so.
Appreciate you popping over.
Cool to see zero lemon still kicking about, I remember buying huge phone batteries from them back it the day!
Yeah, I’m a little addicted to this thing. I use it all the time, even when I have plugs available.
I was not first to the comments and I will never live the day down...
Hey, but you’re here. 🤘
@@KevinRossRN Agreed that's all that matters at the end of the day!
For me, it matters quite a bit. Keep rocking 🤘
Battery pack/chargers = yes! Thanks for sharing those reviews👍
And I appreciate you hanging out on this one. Great to see you here, and over on Twitter 😉🤘
Im using the 65w Anker nano 2. The solo slot. Its amazing and smaller. Good for travel especially for usbc plugs
That’s awesome. These chargers have been fantastic. I use them daily. Great to hear that you’re liking yours.
@@KevinRossRN im planning to buy the 100 watts triple slot. But not yet available in Philippines. The smaller version maybe. 100w are a bit huge
Let me know what you think of it if/when you decide to get one.
@@KevinRossRN i bought this..😅 its in transit
Nice! Looking forward to hearing about it.
I need this in my life! Especially for the car
Very helpful, thanks!
Appreciate you. 🤘
Thanks Kevin! Pretty sure I know the answer but is the zero lemon compatible with the MagSafe charger?
That’s exactly how I use it. So that is a 👍
Is it safe to charge the M1 MacBook Air with 65W Anker charger? Thanks 🙏
Yes, it’s actually the one I use most of the time.
Do you have a car recommendation for charger?
You mean something like this? amzn.to/3nW1mxj
Or are you wanting something with more ports? amzn.to/3awThMw
Great video, Kevin! When checking your links there seem to be two chargers: The Anker 735 Charger Nano II 65W and the Anker 735 Charger GaNPrime 65W. Which one would you prefer? (I'm using a 2021 MacBook Pro M1 Max 14".)
If I’m not mistaken I believe the GaNPrime is an updated version. Either one is going to serve you. I still use the Nano II as my main right now and still love it.
@@KevinRossRN Ok thanks, mate! Will get one, cause the OG is just too massive when traveling. 👌
You got that right. Hope it serves you well.
@Kevin Ross I'm a bit confused. If I have a 14" MacBook Pro base model, can I power it or charge it on an airplane, train and keep working? If so, would it be only light tasks or heavy video editing is possible? What about external power banks? If the 14" base model can do at least 12 hrs straight of light tasks until battery is drained, is there any travel solution that can keep it running an additional 10 hours straight of active, light computing? What about heavier video editing, which I hear gets you 2-4 hrs on battery, would any solution allow continous running for 6-12 charges? Lastly, if any of this *is* possible, would only the Air, MBP Pro M1, and MBP Pro, M1 Pro base be the only ones this would be possible on, and not the 16"? Thanks!
As long as you have a power source on the plane then you’re going to be fine. A power bank while editing is going to drain the powebank faster. What you may also notice depending on what you’re working (when connected to a power bank) is that let’s say without any power source (except for the internal battery) you’re draining at 1% a minute. This is just an arbitrary number.
Now, with the power bank on a heavy task let’s say that this is providing some assistance to the built in battery and instead of it keeping it charged to 100% for an hour and then it runs out of juice, what it may actually do is just keep it charging enough to drain the internal battery at 1% every 5 minutes…until the power bank runs out of juice.
But again, if you have power on the plane then the plug should keep it charged even going full tilt.
@@KevinRossRN Cool thanks Kevin. Does the above only apply to M1's and M1 Pro 14" base, or even 16" base and max? (the part about using the plane's plug to power and go full tilt)
Not just the M1s. I’ve done this in my Intel machines as well. Although those machines always sounded louder than the plane I was flying in 🤣
You always bring the top info on what we need to know about. Thanks Kevin!
Hey, I’m trying 😉 Glad you stopped by on this one.
Great review - Thank you. Can the Anker charger be plugged into a 220 V outlet as well?....like they use in Europe
Thanks! According to the manual, as far as the input: 100-240V~1.8A 50-60Hz
@@KevinRossRN Thank you so much! I just ordered it from your Amazon link! 😃
That’s awesome! I use it more often than my actual MBP charger. Love it!
Travel safely, Kevin!
Cheers!
Whipple
Thanks so much. 🤘
I have had all 3 versions of the zerolemon battery pack and non of them charge the mac book pro
Really? Including the one in this video?
@@KevinRossRN yes
Interesting. I use this several times a week when I’m on the road. Which MBP do you have?
