The way you described Caesar opening the gate the great ape, was really well put !
When Marion says ''Look at this . Let the show begin. You guys really get into this. Was great watching with you both.
all your questions will be answered in the next two. Dawn and war which i hope you’ll watch both. the next two are even more epic. Take care 😘🏴
In the first POTA they also called Charlton Heston's character "Bright Eyes" -- in this one it was Caesar's mom.
You have to watch the rest of the series and most your questions will be answered. Great reaction, as usual
The planet of the apes series has always been one,of the best Franchises ever created
When Caesar spoke, the theater I was in went dead-silent, like out souls left our bodies, and I broke the silence with a loud, "YES!" That was my fist big theater reaction, and these movies have been special to me ever since. I like how you both noted how off Koba was. There's nothing to describe what he really is. Better buckle up. Dawn is a whole other level.
should have been born an indian, then you can light fireworks inside during a big scene and whoop and holler
Wow what a incredible story
If you get emotionally souped up and high by watching CGI super cartoon Apes on a big screen well then by all means knock yourself out silly. Oops, seems like you've already done that. You're hilarious.
@@plnkfloydian7814 😆
@@grosbeak6130Go back to bed. We'll call you if we ever need you.
This January 4, the Spanish director J. Bayona premiered Society of the snow on Netflix. An incredible feat of survival. I saw it in the cinema, Bayona is the master of intimacy and realism. The story is about the rugby team that fell in the Andes Mountains in the 70s, it's an excellent film! Please check it in the original language.
One of the best franchises ever made. Hands down.
I absolutely LOVED you guys reaction. You are putting together the connections between the original Planet of the Apes movies and this new trilogy of movies "Caesar's story" which is the origin of the Planet of the Apes mythos. Rise, Dawn and War are all Caesar's story. These movies are an examination of humanity. What would we do in this situation or that situation? Is it the Apes fault or our own arrogance and recklessness that caused this? How do we solve this problem, what is the solution? Can we hold on to our humanity or do we fall into the worst versions of ourselves trying to defend our humanity? All these same questions can be asked for both the new and old movies. These next 2 movies: Dawn and War are directed by a different Director Matt Reeves and the realism gets more intense. This year 2024, they are coming out with a new Planet of the Apes movie "Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes" which is going to be a new trilogy of movies taking place 300 years after Caesar's story. So they are moving closer and closer to the "time period" of the original Planet of the Apes movies from the early 1970's. I can't wait for you two to see the next 2 movies. You two enjoyed this movie and the original from 1968. You already started connecting these movies together. I can't wait to see and hear your thoughts on the next two movies. Great reaction. Ingat po ;-)
Wow, deep discussion lol.
I love watching you guys react to movies. Marion just seems like a cool person and joy is so intelligent, nothing gets past her. 👏🏻
You really should finish watching the original 5. They were ahead of their time.
You should have at least watched Beneath. Most people don't recommend older films as they are biased to newer things like CGI.
I can't stand CGI and I hated the new trilogy. Give me Beneath any day.
@@SueSnellLives Ahhhhh yes... Beneath. Just what I wanted to see, a dumb storyline involving telephathic humans for some reason. The first got it right, beneath was awful though
this is one of the few remakes where I love the new one and the old. I loved old movies growing up so seeing the old makeup and roddy mcdowall will always be special to me. Movies are fine with cgi and all but you don't get the stories of the makeup and the struggles of filming the movie anymore. This series is still just fantastic. glad you liked it, but glad you watched the original first. I do like Escape from Planet of the Apes where the apes go back in time to try to fit in with human society.
I'm an old Apes guy from back in the day and I think people are really steering you wrong. The best way to watch this franchise is in the order they were created. You've seen the original so please follow-up with Beneath, Escape and Conquest from the 70's. They're real 70's cinema and go hard. You can skip the 5th, Battle, as it's a pretty weak conclusion (but still worth a watch for more of Roddy McDowell's Caesar). THEN do the modern series; Rise, Dawn, War and this year, Kingdom. To watch the franchise in any other order is just cheating yourselves. Makeup apes is best apes.
They can do whatever order they want bruh,it's their channel but I hear you tho
There's a bias to CGI, it's a miracle some even react to the first one.
I AGREE. The CGI films don't even compare
Sure, but it's like watching the Star Wars series starting with the prequels. All the surprises are ruined and they might put first-timers off the series for good. The original Apes series is too great to be passed over by the young. Save cinema history.@@SupportGamin2024
Luckily most zoos have to follow strict guidelines and mostly revolve around conservation work these days! But definitely beware *private* zoos and animal interactions 😬
I JUST discovered this channel and y'all are so funny and cute and i loved this reaction!! ❤❤ Cant wait to see more
Such a good reaction, I seriously can’t wait for the sequel!!
Hi you have watched the 1968 version 8 months ago so you have forgotten.
I watched 1968 and 2011 series immediately right after. By doing so, you will catch all the references of 1968 in 2011, 2014 and 2017. Which is pretty cool. There are a lot in 2011.
Also you have to watch the deleted scenes for all the three movies
Rise OTPOTA 2011,
Dawn OTPOTA 2014 and
War Rise OTPOTA 2017.
The deleted scenes are IMPORTANT but had to removed due to commercial reasons.
Because they are removed, some scenes in the commercial releases seemed abrupt and the context missing, especially for War of the planet of the apes 2017, some scenes do not make sense without the deleted scenes.
The original series had a different ’origin’ story, but this is an excellent reimagining of what caused the rise.
Hi thankyou for reacting to rise of the planet of the apes. i love this movie and i love Ceasar. I hope you’ll react the the other two in this trilogy Dawn of the planet of the apes and war for the planet of the apes because if you like rise you’ll love the next two as they take the bar even higher. This is my all-time favourite trilogy in movie history. Take care 😘🏴
yes we will finish the trilogy.
When you watch the sequels, please make sure that there are English subtitles for the Ape sign language. Their sign language communication in the next two films is very important, if not essential, to understand and enjoy the story and characters.
The 70's trilogy (only the first 3 are worthy of the franchise) and this new trilogy are absolutly kick human ass :)
Whoever told you that you shouldn't watch the originals are idiots. They are classics and these are based on the original. You should go to the beginning imo
Screenwriter-Producer Rick Jaffa described this as more of a reboot than a prequel, and director Rupert Wyatt compared it to Batman Begins. So this trilogy doesn’t actually lead to the classic films, but the same basic idea of them
Edit: Wyatt did also say it’s primarily a prequel to the original film. But that doesn’t really line up since reference is made to the space mission as if it’s a modern one, and in the original it was in the 70s. So I still lean more on the reboot side
In an old article Rupert wyatt clearly alluded that this is a prequel and both a reboot series , in a whatcultre interview from years back in 2011,someone asked Wyatt if the new film(Rise at the time) was a different timeline(Different continuity)from the Original series,He said its the same just years leading up to the original film(Only)
Don't believe me look up
@@SupportGamin2024you are correct, however there’s a discrepency since the space mission is alluded to in this movie, and in the original it took off in the 70s. So I think this still fits more as a reboot
Kingdom and any further sequels would need to start incorporating more lore from the originals to make it line up better
@@jonmercano1138despite the plot holes,The new films do explain how the apes became smart, when you think about it,and why the humans eventually fell and ultimately regressed into becoming Animal like(from War of the planet of the apes) like in the original movie
@@SupportGamin2024sure, but it’d have to apply only to the first original film. Because lore from the og sequels makes it even more complicated.
Wyatt also said Caesar would be a revolutionary figure that apes would talk about for centuries, but Caesar is never mentioned in the future ape society of the original and Beneath. There’d have to be some establishing of rewriting history, which it seems Kingdom is kind of going to do, but we’ll see
@@jonmercano1138 I mean the original Film and beneath is set thousands of years after man's fall and the apes rise,so a lot could've happened between the point to where Caesar's legacy is either erased for good or disgarded as a myth,Legend or fairy tale.
Its similar to our real life where we have so many different religions, beliefs or versions of how the earth came to exist.
Some believe in Christianity or Evolution.
The original series only focused solely on one ape society,We never got the chance to explore the series, with other ape cities
Great reaction 👍🏻
The start of the PLANET OF THE APES PREQUEL SAGA.
Its a Reboot-Prequel at the same time, just in case some trolls try to start something
Hello Marian & Joy!😊 This trilogy is really the first time the original films have been outdone. This is definitely a reboot of the original films, where things happen differently. The CGI for the apes improves with each film. Great reactions to this first film in this very well made modern trilogy, Kids!!!!🎬👏👏👏👏
It will still lead to the original film eventually Rupert wyatt said taylor exists in the new series
I see, thanks for the info.@@SupportGamin2024
You should continue the originals!!! They’re not as good but they don’t deserve to be disregarded! 3 and 4 are fan favorites!
Yes 3 and 4 are the best sequels
I actually prefer 2 and 5 which have more fantasy. Beneath is essential for the storyline anyway,
@@joebloggs396facts
You need to see the trilogy all very good movies, can't wait for you guys to react. Greetings from San Francisco Bay Area!
Awesome reaction of my favorite Planet Of The Apes movie!!!!!😊😊😊😊
I was so happy that you put together the spaceship connected to the first movie.
As you say Next Level.
Have to watch more to understand.
Im so happy youre doing this trilogy!!
Know what's funny? I CAN 100,000% relate to, and Totally Understand "why, what and how" Caesar feels towards humankind. I don't blame him. At, all.
If you watch just a few more minutes into the end credits you will see how the virus spreads because of the pilot. I think this is one of the best reboots l've ever seen.
They did
@SupportGamin2024 awesome! I wasn't sure by the way they were talking. I also thought that the end credit animation was an equally brilliant way to show the spread of the virus.
This is an amazing trilogy, Caesar💚 is the best!!! ...love him to bits, hes a way better leader then most human leaders today. Hope u react to the other two.Caesar only bit the finger, it was still attached so that mean neighbour was lucky.
Notice after all hes been through, Caesar has no first instinct or intention to kill humans or hurt people, just to free his apes. He never even killed the nasty Draco, he killed himself out of stupidity. Also the apes didnt kill any innocents, they just trashed a few offices and scared people tbf. You can see how heartbroken Caesar was to reject his human dad after he turned his back, its clear how hard it was for him & he continued using his window as his symbol on street signs afte r escaping. I always root for the apes, animals are true to their nature, & we betray ours. Caesar is too smart and kind to just hate all humans, he knows better, so u judged him harshly and misunderstood his actions alot.
Also, Caesar can be infected again, so he also get even smarter when inhaling the 1.13 virus too, plus Caesar is way more intelligent since he had a proper human childhood education from Will.
are you guys going to react to dawn of the planet of the wars and war of the plante of the apes please let me know
Coolll reaction peace out 👊🏼
You really need to watch 3,4,and 5 of the 70’s movies. Start with escape from the planet of the apes.
They can watch those after they finish the new series first, then they will be caught up to the latest one coming out this year,Kingdom
Noring old ass shit
17:46 Opening the gate
Please finish the trilogy !! ❤️
The blonde guy is Tom Felton who played Draco in Harry potter moives.... Watch them
yall should start the Harry potter movies
Man, a chimpanzee attack is horrific, I won't go into details.
try the old movie series for a comparison - well worth a watch
Thanks for letting us watch with you! God bless you!
One of the tormentors from where they keep the apes what is Jay old is the actor who plays Malfoy from the Harry Potter series
I loved this entire trilogy i'm excited for the fourth one coming out soon
You should have watched the original 6 movies before watching these newer ones.
A little game for this series, count the number of female characters & then count the number with speaking roles.
Who cares!
Love these two! ..... 🙂
❤❤
27:27 The advanced Apes depicted in this movie are a metaphor for a real-life citizen revolution against a corrupt government. This is what all governments fear, the people turning against them.
The villainous old man in the zoo is William "Stryker" from X-Men 2 (the young guy is Malfoy from Harry Potter).
Yes Brian Cox
This is how you do a great remake.
This first of the most recent POTA films is excellent. All the following films pale in comparison. Just like the original 1960s films, first one is great and then they decline in quality of writing.
The other two films of the new trilogy weren't bad at all
Why would they spoil the reaction with the preview!!? Now we don't need to watch
Please watch K-Pax
Love your stuff, *BUT YOU SHOULD HAVE STARTED THE "APES" MOVIES WITH THE ORIGINAL 60's **_PLANET OF THE APES_** & IT WOULD HAVE MADE EVERYTHING MAKE SENSE.......* I ABSOLUTELY HATE THE 2000s APE MOVIES BECAUSE THEY CHANGE ALL INTO ^^%^%^%^.
No one asked or care
The new films are good,Stop complaining
They _did_ watch the original film first.
@@bigdream_dreambig jerk ass
These CGI ape characters are just sophisticated cartoons. But there's plenty of people who geek out over them. But I can't help but laugh, just can't take or connect with them because they look too artificial and I know what's going on. I just can't see past it, and it's just ridiculous to me that people can get emotionally caught up with them. I watched the documentary on Gollem in The Lord of the Rings and how they create these characters. I don't mind if it's a singular character like that, but these movies are Planet of the Apes movies and they're turning them all into sophisticated CGI cartoons.
There's nothing wrong with the CGI,why do y'all always gotta be negative all the time
They are taken directly from the actors movements and facial expressions. Really interesting to see behind the scenes.
The apes being CGI is ridiculous to you but not the ape masks in the original series? 😂
@@SupportGamin2024 who's being negative? I'm just disagreeing. I don't have to like what you like.
P.s. And are you being negative towards my comment? Grow up, there's a lot of different people in the world than those with your tastes or likes.
@grosbeak6130 stop being a hypocrite you were literally just 💩 talking about the CGI apes being cartoons, look in the mirror and Take your own advice 😂
It's embarrassing to me to watch people get so impressed and emotionally manipulated by CGI super cartoon Apes.
Stop posting these Dumb comments everywhere
It's fiction either way, what does it matter if it's CGI? It's still acting
You both shouldn’t be sheep and skip the previous movie with Mark Wahlberg, it’s a fun movie and kind of a stand-alone film.
They can still watch that one after finishing the new trilogy
@@SupportGamin2024 -Yeah, but I doubt they will since they were told to skip it, but I wish they would. lol
