- This episode of New Jersey living is being recorded in Edgewater, New Jersey. Edgewater is a shopping and retail location along the Hudson River and Manhattan Waterfront. Whole Foods is kind of like the anchor store here, along with other retail spots and places to eat.
We are looking at two developments in Edgewater that have had five development sales in the last 30 days. The George Washington Bridge, which connects New Jersey and New York, is visible in the background. Just across the water from us are Harlem and the southern end of the Bronx, as well as much of uptown Manhattan.
I'm going to jump right into the big three because we are only a short drive from the GW and getting from here to the GW would take about 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic. Aside from that, it's an A-rated school district in Leonia where students in grades 7-12 from Edgewater attend school. This area is ideal for those seeking easy access to the Hudson River and the ferry because, unlike North Bergen or Weehawken, this end of the Hudson does not have a light rail system.
Edgewater Town Center is still a convenient walk away for any shopping or retail needs, and there are several other options all along River Road.
