You are very talented young man. I am 69 years old and love to see young people that are not afraid to work hard and go after what they want in life.Great job on the tiny cabin. Keep up the good work. Enjoyed the video very much
Well said!
I enjoyed it immensely too. I personally haven't seen that work ethic in the young people in my area. It's kind of sad and it's not that their folks aren't hard working, they just don't seem to be motivated or curious about how to use the tools. I don't know what it is. Maybe they're just not hungry enough.
Great job--coming from another 69 yr old in Alberta, Canada.
Great job coming from a 60 year old American too !
@@CIST3 You do have to ponder just what motivates some to be this ambitious and others to exclaim, 'There's nothing to do in this burg' when there is a great big land of opportunity lying at their feet. If only someone would give 'em the nudge, and a little guidance and a heap of confidence. The youth in my cross roads to everywhere in the middle of nowhere town are too oft' heard to complain about the lack of things to do, but they sit for hours gaming in their respective rooms alone, virtually in a fantasy world with peeps unkown. It just saddens me to the core.
Dear Lad, you are an amazing carpenter. I am 98 yrs old and My Greatfather used to build cabins for a place called Apple Island and the cabins were different sizes. And they would use only what they had and from the local tress etc.. How did you get electric there? To heat your cabin? You are such a wonderful carpenter. Your Mum and Pop must be so proud of you . God Bless and be safe Lad.
Yes, he seemed to do much of the work by hand but, at some point he is using electric. He also has a propane stove, I see. There are some great rechargeable battery packs available and at the end he installed solar. My question would be: Where is the toilet?
Now u have a new job....making and selling tiny homes!. Xo beautiful work!.

God bless you. You will definitely have an abundant life. For some reason, this made me feel very proud of him. Anyone else feel the same way?
What a great effort and conclusion .... very talented young man ... and all with hand tools ,,, no power anything !!!!
This is what so many of the youth in America should be learning. The ability to use the tools to craft and complete such a fine project. The variuos ' Home Building Trades' you can carry with you to just about any corner of this faltering country. Bah Humbug to Coding. Let O'Biden's grandbabies learn coding and become a cog in the world of the technocrats. Borrr'ing!
@@claztube Why not both? Learning to code is little more than to learn a logical way of thinking, like math. I'm glad I can do both.
made me feel sorry for him, Having to use an outhouse, no shower. It's almost like being homeless
@@timhitt9541 A lot of people live that way, very happily. You may be projecting your own feelings. I, personally could live simply but desire indoor plumbing and a fireplace. Everyone's different.
This young man has some considerable skills that will carry him through life. What a fine job you did.
I thought the same thing!
He will always be able to find odd jobs as a handyman.
I too thought this.
alanj He sure won’t be homeless or hungry.
We need to bring back shop and HomeEc classes in our schools!
For both girls and boys. When I took Shop/HomeEc, Shop was basically for boys, and HomeEc was for girls.
I agree! And get rid of all the other unnecessary social garb!
Amen! That would help improve the drop out rate too.
I had both. But I never had music. The courses were what given that semester, electricity sewing cooking or house and garden (using very light tools). We have a swimming pool too. The girls had the course when the boys swam, and vice versa.
This was in my grammar school (through eighth grade) but I don't remember having art or music there.
We need to teach our children and not rely solely on schools.
As long as we have people who think like this young man does, there is hope in this world.
Those were my thoughts exactly. Made me smile. So tired of MSM giving us the look of stupid for our young people., If you don't have a usable skill, find one you love and master it. You could then be worth more than gold or water to many.
What a productive way to use your time in between jobs. Consider it a blessing in disguise.
He had a lot of help and property and support and at least it shows in the video..not hidden or minimized forgotten like in so many others.
yeah! STOP BUYING GUCCI AND BUY SOMTHING THATS GOING TO MAKE YOUR LIFE EASY AND MEANINGFUL!, YOU WILL SAVE ON BILLS BILLS BILLS,I CANT BELIVEPEOPLE ARE STILL TRYING TO BE FLY AS FUC!!!!!!IN THESE END TIMES!,,,,
yeah nice to see
Let's not forget all the helpers, too! My friend Pete built his own place in his early twenties, lots of timber work. His friends and family helped put the roof on, like the video here. It's more fun with company, the work goes more easily too.
Absolutely stunning! There are no words to describe your talents. The company you worked for did you a favor , otherwise the world would not know what you're capable of doing. Stay in business for yourself, hire great people to help you. You will go far young man!
I hope he builds a cozy bathroom outhouse with a shower and hot tub. God bless him anyone who laid him off huge loss he is a gifted woodcarving and craftsman.
Maybe he was laid off because he was a building designer who always forgot to put in the bathrooms! 😝
Vey possible that his job had nothing to do with carpentry. If he was an accountant, I doubt they would care that he was gifted carpenter. They would likely want someone with math skills. And people aren't generally laid off because of performance issues but because of financial issues with the company. I knew plenty of hard working, skilled people who got laid off during the pandemic. Many businesses were completely shut down for months, some never reopened.
Composting toilet and outdoor shower are great. Growing up we all used an outhouse and outdoor shower but we didn't live in snow country.
laundry?
That will be the Mrs. contribution. A woman can do whatever a man can right?
Excellent job. My husband was laid off one time and decided to renovate an old farmhouse from the 1890s. We decided to move in it when he was all done. We love it!

I marvel at the ability a person has using his mind and hands. Gives me hope for humanity in a broken world. So hopeful and uplifting.

WOW!, what a job. This Is exactly what Mike Rowe is talking about, Learn a trade at school!
My dad went to high school and the following Monday started a 2 year trade school learning wood working, some metal work and electrical. He was working night jobs at a factory that made everything from picture frames to wooden delivery crates for milk and soda bottles. When the great depression hit, college grads couldn't find work but he was working 60 hours a week!
Later on he served our country working as a airplane mechanic in the army air corp's in Harrisburg PA.!
Although he found a new career in white collar office work do to health reason, my father never ceased to amaze me when my mom had a vision of some furniture or decorative item and my Dad was able to design & build it for her beyond her expectations! She was always so proud of his abilities. And
I'm so thankful he taught me well. That young man in this video should inspire people to learn to work with their hands. Your Knowledge will never fail you during your life, and always pass it on to the next generation.

That jerk made a living by talking about how there are jobs in America that nobody will do.
What he didn't say is that there are jobs in America that only disposable undocumented desperate people will do.
There's no job that Americans won't do if the pay and conditions are right.
It's called supply and demand.
If a job needs to be done, Americans will do the job.
The free market will dictate pay as long as literal slaves are kept out of the labor supply.

He certified himself that he is self-sufficient no matter where or situation he is. Good job!
Sovereignty and freedom in the process! All power to him.
this was nearly the definition of a controlled-bubble build where there's plenty of money for materials, time, donated or owned land, and pre-knowledge of homebuilding. It's hardly telling of adversity or challenge in any way.

Such an inspiring story. Thumbs up from me, you did a great job.
Dislikes are from the people who need a toilet in the house 🤣😂. Idk, it is well done.
Maybe jealous people disliked it. I like camping, but am too old no. I have a disability in walking. And I don't have talent to do a project like this. I hope he stays safe and enjoys the cabin. I like it 👍👍
The dislikes are from those who are too inexperienced, lazy and ignorant to know that you have to "actually" challenge what's hard in life in order to get what you want out of it. Your life goals will only ignore you without a challenge to take it on which is known as "effort".

Lol, most don't have the resources or space. I know people who were working to stay afloat and support families other parts of the world.
Most of the more severe illnesses happen to people by having a traumatic event take them by surprise, unexpectantly, impacting first in the brain, then in the corresponding organ which that part of the brain controls. The end of WWI had absolutely everything to do with the Flu and lung TB outbreak that occurred killing millions. In nature, the biological conflict linked with a territorial fear (just what it means-a fear in your territory, your home, your community, etc.) is a widening of the bronchia (tissue loss). Your body attempts to widen your bronchia in order to allow more air into your lungs to give you more strength and energy to fight to keep your territory safe. Stay with me.......The biological conflict linked with a death fright impacts the lungs. The lungs attempt to grow larger in order to allow more air in because breath equals life, as we all know. No breath equals death.
While you are in the fear or death fright conflict, you notice no symptoms of “disease”, except you have cold hands, cold feet, you can’t sleep, you awaken at 3 AM every night, you have little appetite. During the war, millions of people were in fear of the bombing of their homes and cities where the war was most active. Fearing for their lives, their loved ones in the war, their ability to survive. The food in the stores was sparse due to shortages. This lasted for 4 long years! The longer the conflict, the worse the healing phase. Within 2 weeks of the German Chancellor announcing the end of WWI, these millions of people ALL went into the healing phase all at the same time. It is during the healing phase that you experience symptoms of illness! What is the healing phase of the bronchia widening? Severe bronchitis, pneumonia. The body attempts to refill this lost tissue and you experience inflammation, fever, coughing, body aches, fatigue, etc. What is the healing phase of the extra lung tissue that grew? Decomposing of the tissue by TB bacteria and fungi. The symptoms of this healing phase are: severe coughing up of blood and tissue, fever, inflammation, severe mucous, body aches, fatigue. During this decomposing of the extra tissue (tumor), the body expels a lot of protein, and without replenishment, severe protein loss can result in death. Antibiotics did not exist yet. If TB bacteria does not exist in a person or they have been vaccinated against TB (big mistake), then the tumor will simply encapsulate and become dormant and not harm you. Who died during the Spanish Flu? Mainly the poor who could not afford to buy meat and proper nourishment, and the people who were directly impacted by the bombings and destruction of their homes.
Millions of people suffered fear and death frights during the fighting of WWI, and millions of people all went into healing at the end of it. Not everyone was affected because not everyone suffered the same way.
It’s not a “flu”, it’s not something you “catch”. It’s biological, meaningful, and unavoidable. One hundred years later, a Fear Campaign begins, using the media to spread it......
Iwas mesmerized the moment I saw this young man start building. I kept saying to myself, "you have been given a wonderful gift from God." it was such a pleasure to watch how perfectly he built his home. IMany blessings. Thank you for sharing.
This young man is gifted and how could he be laid off lol lol. Someone better snatch him. Truly a master piece . So good to see a young kid do this . Makes me think this world still has a chance
Руки с головой дружат получилось идеально сказочно талантливо одним словом мастер
Even though I watched all the progress videos, it was lovely to watch it all come together in one time-lapse!
Can’t wait to see your next projects!
Thanks so much! 😊
I love this! The fact that it's on wheels like a mobile home is really smart so you can move it wherever. It's also super cute too! Good job, just proves you don't need a big house or mortgage to have something nice that you own. Hats off to you!
Kym....you are so fine. I'd build one for you, but it'd probably collapse, so I'll just have to hire this guy to do it....
This is exactly what The System is afraid of. A world where people don't rely on them to survive. Great job!
I disagree - they would love us all to live in little self-made boxes rather than expect a decent middle class lifestyle, job security and pension. Notice nobody suggests Ivanka Trump should live in a tiny house!
His point was more on self-reliance and independence than the actual size or precise lifestyle thisnpwrson chose.
@@kitsiewr completely missed the point
@Adrian R i concur
@@kitsiewr 100% correct, not to mention it would invariably be on rented land, why else do you think many of these contraptions are up on wheels? So they can be moved from place to place.
You built an upside down boat/ house! Kind of Icelandic I love it ❤️👍
Здравствуйте! Молодец такие мужики один из миллионов. Дай бог вам здоровья, счастья, удачи.
Well done that man with so many materialistic people these days having monstrous unneeded extensions to their homes selfishly invading their neighbours privacy etc people like this guy are a breath of fresh air and all his own work hats off to you sir
What an industrious, hardworking young man you are. A pleasure to see. Beautiful little cabin that you built.
Hats off to you sir the victory was worth the struggle you’re a genius happy for u, congrats.
This young man is a wealth of knowledge! SO much respect. I worked with a community at A Mother Earth New Magazine! He would have fit right in

Sturdy construction and well insulated. 😊
This is what you call talent. He should start his own business and sell those tiny homes. Great job!
Fabulous little house,I love and especially like the little man carvings, they are a lovely touch.
I’m wild about those! This feller, this feller I like!
This guy has some mad skills, he made a beautiful cabin, good for him!
I admires this young man. It is my dreams to built my own home. This died the days I was diagnosed with life shorting diseases. I was so determined to not let them stop me. I began a quest to get healthy & strong. I start with building small gardens & cares for them. To builds discipline & health. Everything catching up with me.
That's a lot of work, brother. Stay blessed. You are energetic and independent. God bless you. May you help more people build their own little temples like the way you've erected yours. 🙏
🥰💐
This is a cute tiny house. The man is smart and has carpenter skills,he could build more houses😊
He needs a bathroom though
@@newhorizons1115 yes,I didn't notice that at first,he should add one on.
Think creative...an outhouse 😊
@@lindsaythomson9542
But he didn't show us the outhouse! I'm here just so someone could tell me I missed the bathroom! But no. Obviously he planned to eat well and dig a hole I suppose! Cause they certainly ate! 😅
I'm laughing out loud! 😀
How could a person with this much talent not have work?
It's America of the 2020's. That's how.
John Kennedy and he will not it’s USA ✋😂
Love your vision and talents. Love the added touch of the Nordic faces.
I'm American my ancestors came over around 1719, my brother the ancestry sleuth in the family, did the bulk of his research way before the internet. Said possible earlier begins we come from Nordic back ground. Lakin is the name that came over from England the Midlands. I always ask people I meet from England if they ever heard of anyone with that name...the answer is always No.
Thank you! Interesting back story! We are very close to the Midlands here and my family also hail from that area, I don’t know any Lakins though, good luck on your search!
This reminds me of when I was a kid and wanted a fort, but my parents said no and I said angrily “when I grow up I’m going to build MY OWN FORT!”
But u never do . So yea 🙄
Have you??

As a carpenter I'm impressed, well done man,
Wow! The craftsmanship overall is amazing, but what really made me fall in love is the kitchen bench work! That area is so beautiful! I wish I had the money to build, and you Jacob to show me hands on how to do this!
I Love this tiny house so different and
special and i love the place too Wow!!
This guy is incredible and quite a Craftsman with his trade he deserves any good good thing he receives! Extremely talented! 😀🙏😁
I liked looking at the evolution of this cabin. It just kept looking better and better. You've done a terrific job. Thanks for posting.
Hello Clare
Such a talented young man should not be without work. This was amazing
maybe he wants to start his own company, Not work for someone else. But, needed work till he does. I'm thinking he'll be fine !!
well, it is not really cool...
it is MEGA COOL!!!
а по-русски - просто замечательно! руки откуда нужно растут!
With skills like that - and your motivation - it's hard to imagine you'd be unemployed for more than a second. Wow!
Employers are begging for workers right now. There are lots of jobs available.
The title is probably clickbait...this person is financially stable living on a farm with many acres. This looks like a small playhouse for privacy...thats y its no bathroom. His main residence is probably the large home on the property
@@tcg5427 This would be the perfect house to have a staircase inside as an entrance that goes underground to actual house.

My thoughts exactly!
Yes for a child to play house this is great but Real people everyday... give me a break
This what the young man did, is very positive. Did something and don't sit and pity himself.
Yes! That’s a huuuuge problem here in the US
