I left my ❤ in Ios many years ago , and it still beats there now and again and the memories of the girls I’ve loved there still beat with it 😊 beautiful Island , be still my beatin* heart .

I agree. I used to go to Ios in the 1970s. Could stay in family pensions for only a few Drachmas. Now everywhere is overbuilt, geared to mass tourism and getting people's money. They wrecked the place. All we are seeing is the same people we will see at home. What is the point? The island lost its character, investors took over, more and more constructions, the old charm has gone. It is no longer the Ios that used to be. Can't even see any locals anywhere. The music is boring. Not a note of traditional Greek music. TripAdvisor and Internet have ruined every place in the world. Mass tourism has taken over. It's sad to see.

Hi. Very little per year. 😉 Mostly in Greece. I estimate 5-10 km a day at most. Back home in the Czech Republic, I sit at the computer all year and edit videos shot in Greece. Last summer I lost 12 kg in 3 months while filming. Now it's back... 😄
@@robertpolasek have always been put off Ios by it's reputation as a party island, Must say if it is as quiet as this looks in june we will have to reconsider and add it to out list for next year. looks stunning.
A couple of years ago I downloaded a short video of Ios on your site, but when I had a look at it recently I found that the video file was corrupt and after the first few minutes it kept freezing and remaining frozen. I tried various ways of solving this then I had the idea of using VLC to copy the file in the hope I could just edit out the freezing parts. In fact when I looked at the VLC copy it just had a couple of brief hardly noticeable freezes then carried on normally. It is actually one of my favourites from your site! I know this one is a much longer video of Ios but the short one is so beautiful visually and musically that I think it should be still available!
You are probably thinking of the video made by his son Tomáš Polášek and posted on his RUclips channel. 🙂 I have a video of Ios from 2022. There are both videos on our website www.fototravel.info.

The Nest was our favourite taverna in Ios and George (in the red top) was so friendly
Next time, try "The Mills", which is nearby. For us, definitely the best of the tavernas we visited on Ios. 👍
