Thank your very much for all your videos I love them so much today I am looking at the sikinos island I am one of your fan your videos make me dreaming greetings from Mauritius Island 🇲🇺
How is it that the best videos about Greece come from someone who is not Greek is beyond me 😂😂😂. I love your work.!!! I wish you would do Andros and Tinos. They should be included in your great collection. Greetings from Athens!!!
Another outstanding video, Robert! All the hard work you put into this always shows. I watch and recommend your videos all the time. I even watched your 5 hr Santorini video twice and still have so much to learn. Since I want to see your channel become as successful as possible, allow me to make two small easy suggestions that would cost you nothing: 1) Keep your videos free of your crew. Having a person in your shots (in this case I'm guessing your lovely wife?) breaks the fantasy of us being there. Especially when we are walking close behind her we can't help but focus on her back and not the scenery. Whether it is her or anyone in your crew, have them remain out of frame so the viewers can feel like they are in the "driver's seat" in a professionally neutral travel video and not in someone else's personal vacation video. I truly believe 95% of your viewers would prefer this. 2) Like most people, I'm not always exactly sure of where some of these lesser-known islands are (and my European geography is sadly better than many). Maybe show just a quick basic map of the Aegean in the very beginning (or a globe zoom-in which many RUclipsrs do) to show where the island is. It would take just a few seconds. The other white-outline island maps you already include in your video (for individual towns and beaches) are so extremely helpful and appreciated. These important details put you on a different level from others. Thanks again for all this effort! With these videos, you are one of the greatest geography teachers on RUclips (and certainly in my own life)... whether you realize it or not. Lots of love and gratitude to you and your team/wife. Have a beautiful week my friends.
Thanks for watching our videos and commenting on them. 👍👋💙 I know point #1, but we just don't have time to address this (we don't film a TV series to repeat scenes) and sometimes I forget I'm filming because of the beauty of the surroundings. 😉 I disagree with point #2 and I don't want to be like other youtubers. I'm of the opinion that those who are interested in Greece should also study something about it, not get everything on one plate right under their noses. At least finding out the location of Greece and then the island is the easiest thing they can do for their education and "feel good". 😄
@@robertpolasek Thank you for your reply, Robert. I'd like to emphasize you have no need to ever worry you are like other RUclipsrs- you sir, are in the "superior" category :) I do hope you reconsider your stance about having a map to show where the island is in relation to the rest of Greece and Europe. I can completely understand where you are coming from, and while you are correct in saying that viewers should study on their own and already know at least where the island is located (the bare minimum right?!), this unfortunately doesn't address a very real problem: When I watch a travel video of any place I'm unfamiliar with, if it doesn't tell me where it is located in the first few minutes I always have to stop the video and look it up on a map. When I have to pause a video, I often get sidetracked in my Google research and sometimes forget to come back to the video later (which happened to me for your Psara and Syvota videos...I still have yet to watch them past the first 20 seconds). How much better if I just get this map info in your video and I don't have to leave it! I know I'm not the only one who does this. Wanting a map doesn't mean the viewer is uneducated or lazy....just someone who needs some help. Greece is arguably the most challenging geographic coastal region in the Mediterranean, with over 6000 islands/islets! It's simply not realistic for 99% of people to ever have the exact positions of all these places correctly memorized...and I grew up on the Mediterranean! Since you already go so very far with beautifully labeling all the towns and their locations, it only makes sense to add a quick map for a few seconds in the very beginning to show where the island is in the country/sea. It would make your informative videos go from a 9.5 to a 10 in educational value. It's the last missing piece to your geography "classes." As I've said before: you are a teacher whether you realize it or not, and your documentaries on Greek islands are arguably the most educational on RUclips. You show instead of tell and that is the fullest, most direct way to teach. The world may not deserve all your immense work, but you are the travel/geography hero the world needs. Anyway, just something I hope you think about. Have a beautiful week Robert and keep up the outstanding work! We are all so grateful.
Hello Robert. We are back on the island of Kos and have discovered a lot of beautiful beaches and beautiful taverns. Best regards, From the island of Kos KF Greekos
Having stayed 2 weeks on Sikinos end of May, your video is so wonderfull and I'll be watching a few times more to see and relive all those beatifull spots. Thank you so much for this video.
Hey Robert! :-) Long time no see you! How have yo been? Another great as always from "Touch" travel document. Yes, it is a document. Got question, is it still safe to explore Greece? Thank you kindly, friend.
Hi, Kos definitely doesn't have the best sandy beaches - only travel agents say otherwise. The sea is at its warmest in August and September, and in October the sea is quite warm, but the weather can get a bit naughty, especially at the end of October. 😉
I agree with Lachimachos. Normally one should avoid someone everytime in front of you while filming. But for the rest your filming and the destinations you choose are TOP!!!
You should understand why this ad is here. Without it, you wouldn't see any videos for free! If you block advertising, you will harm yourself and everyone else by having to pay to watch all the videos in the future, like Netflix. Advertising is the only source of income for my work and at the same time your support for the author in his work. So if you don't like my work, go watch other videos instead - there are plenty of them on RUclips.
I've been subscribed to your channel for a few years and I've seen all your videos of Greece which are the best on you tube! a few years ago I was relaxing watching your videos and there wasn't much advertising I understand that advertising is important but not every 5 minutes! it would become annoying and stressful! I'm sorry but that's what I think
