PLUSH LIVE at the Musonia - A Tribute to Randy Rhoads for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

- The Musonia School of Music celebrates the induction of local hero Randy Rhoads into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame class of 2021 with a live performance by PLUSH
In the late 1970's and early 1980's the Musonia was ground zero for a revolution in Rock music with the San Fernando valley being home to musicians like the Van Halen brothers, The Rhoads brothers, Rudy Salazar, and many others, all thanks to the wise and loving support by the founder of the school, Delores Rhoads, who died in 2015 at the age of 95.
To help us celebrate, we invited the up and coming all-girl rock band PLUSH to come visit the school, and get a personal tour by owner Kelle Rhoads.
They learned a little Rock and Roll history and ended up putting on a master class in music, with a performance of their song "Champion" from their debut album "Athena".
Shot entirely at the Musonia School of Music in North Hollywood.

Such a huge honor to have been a part of this! Thank you so much Musonia and Kelle Rhoads!!
You're a stronger man than me Miss Bella. I would have touched that guitar and started bawling. 🎸😭
Cool 😎 you guy's played

My hands would still be shaking if I held that guitar, wow. Phenomenal young rock guitarists like Bella always remind me of the spirit, passion, and FUN Randy Rhoads had on stage. Keep rockin! 🤘

That voice, is , incredible...
This is the School I Miss so much so happy to see this video 🎸🎀🎸✌💋✌
Just found my favorite band. Now I know why RR was so talented. Hail mothers of rock.
My favorite new band honoring my guitar hero! Doesn't get much better!
Love these gals, they're the genuine article. Rest in peace Randy Rhoads.
Thank you Delores, you created an Angel! I am glad you lived a long peaceful life sweetheart. My Granny lived to 92, bless her and you!
The smiles when their holding the1956 Harmony guitar . In 1982 I was 15 big fan and now I'm 56 what a moment
when THEY'RE holding
I'm down with PLUSH ,Want more PLUSH , ... , And God bless Randy , ...
Them cutting in clips of Randy rocking out with them in spirit totally gave me goosebumps💯👹🤟🏻
I loved this! Those of us who love music have lost many of our heroes. This loss still hurts me the most. I was 18 in 1982 and to this day can only think of the wonderful things Randy would have done. Can you imagine?
I got emotional watching this. I didn’t realize I wasn’t completely over how much it hurt when Randy passed when I was 17.
Plush are lovely young people.
March 19th 1982 I was a sophomore 7th period Health class , teacher Mr. Jeans walk in and says to the class . Hay this is wired why are all the Rockers crying somebody steal a bag a weed ? Mr. Jeans was cool he said it sucks when your rock hero's die I remember when Buddy Holly died it sucked.
I still tear up when I listen to the solo from Mister Crowley or when I hear Randy's live solo from Suicide Solution. I was 13 when he died.
I was 15 when RR died. This was great! It gives me hope to see young musicians who actually realize what a genius he was. 👍🏻😎
@@SquirrelTheater There’s a few really good Gen Z rockers coming up right now. The best of the crop arguably is The Warning from Mexico
I was 16 and yeah that was a tough one. RR forever ❤️🙏
Well done Ladies, you play great music and seem the nicest of people! Nice of Kelly to allow us all another glimpse inside the Musonia, its a special place, RIP Randy and his Mum X
Plush is a driving force in real rock...They deserve to go global , fame and fortune should be their reward. What a great upload, we all still miss Randy Rhoads and like Hendrix have to wonder how much farther he would have taken the guitar skills he had.
I wish Plush the best, I am blown away by the talent of these beautiful young ladies..(Yes, I assumed their gender! )
Found out about plush watching Brooke c being amazed at her talent and how young she was. Was so fascinated with her passion, talent, kindness, amazing soul, beautiful on the inside and out. You just don't see that..
And then plush came WOW..
I love these women!! They are bringing heavy metal and rock and roll back.. growing up in the '80s being a lead guitarist. Then learn how to play all the instruments singing Becoming a producer, engineer all that stuff.
I was so upset that they was no really good music for heavy metal and rock and roll anymore. Just a bunch of kids copying RUclips never knowing how to make their own music. Never going on the road. Never learning the right way.
You lose something when you learn music that way. Something is just missing. Not very hard to just copy someone on RUclips does not make you a good musician.. anybody can do that.. there's a lot more to it.
These women seem to have worked very hard learning and learning and learning. In every way possible.
They play with passion, heart and soul and have learned from the best type of music.. very intelligent women..
Honestly probably the best female band I've ever seen And I think they're 21 and younger.
Their covers are as good as the original if not better. They play and feel everything they do.. they put their heart and soul into all of it.
There are originals are a testament to everything I just said!! They're fantastic!!
Oh and did I mention absolutely beautiful!!! And they're not conceited.. very grounded!!
CAN'T BELIEVE HOW MATURE THEY ARE BEING 21 AND UNDER.
THINK ABOUT IT THEY'RE ONLY 21 AND UNDER!! DID I MENTION THAT THEY JUST STARTED.. IMAGINE WHAT THEY'RE GOING TO ACCOMPLISH IF THEY STAY TOGETHER.. SOMETHING THAT RANDY RHOADS GOT STOLEN FROM HIM!!
Hopefully you inspire heavy metal and rock and roll to come back!! That's what you The power of women!!
ROCK ON GIRLS! THANKS FOR BRINGING THE BEST MUSIC BACK TO THE WORLD!!
The Rhoads family are so gracious and kind. Imagine taking lessons from Randy Rhoads, then once he moves on to further his legend you have to settle for a beast like George Lynch as your new guitar instructor. Lol...what a wealth of talent and ferocity due to plenty of competition.
Great to see young musicians exposing themselves to such a positive musical influence as RR. Randy had a wealth of knowledge way beyond his 25 years. Still saddens me thinking of the past 40 years and how awesome it'd be to listen to and experience Randy growing and expressing himself musically, applying what he'd learned to his own music all these decades later.
Seu comentário é tão lindo quanto verdadeiro!!!
Apenas um fã brasileiro, apaixonado e deslumbrado pela arte de Randy Rhoads.
Abraços do Brasil,amigo!
I might need to go home sick from work so I can play guitar the rest of the day!!!! AWESOME. Love you Randy 💋
Super cool.
My parents used to live in those apartments directly across the street from the school back in the 90's. I even took some guitar lesson for a short time there.
back then Randy's mother was still alive, she such a sweet lady.
The place on the outside looks like it needs repair work and a paint job. Nice to see the bars on the windows and doors after it was broken into and things stolen. This place is a natural treasure. Hope Kelle can keep it going for years to come for people to enjoy.
Man, did I need this! I spent so many months at The Musonia back in the late 70's learning guitar from Randy. Seeing the old building again just brought out so many emotions. What a blessing. Thanks to Kelle and crew for making this happen. Plush sounds amazing. Randy would have been blown out by that. But my favorite thing was seeing Randy's old Peavey/Ampeg rig from the Starwood days next to Kelle's desk. I remember asking Randy if he was going to take that with him to play with Ozzy. He laughed his ass off at what was decidedly a stupid question. But hell, I was 15. Good memories.
WOW
To think he got the Gig with a 5 watt fender tweed . I'm sure it had a nice growl when set to full whack.
@@dainhustonThat didn’t matten to Ozzy he was so druged up when he was auditioning Randy and he didn’t even see Randy when he auditioned he actually met him the day after. It was Dana Strum who got in touch with Randy for Ozzy and he decided to let Ozzy hear him play before seing him. Dana also Said in an interview that Ozzy was so fucked up that he peed himself
@@_vixen_4504 Don't see why any of that matters. Ozzy and Randy went on to have great creative partnership that gave some of the best rock in the world. I have alot of respect for Ozzy and Sharon for bringing Randy out in the open so he could achieve eternal greatness.
Douglas you need to stop telling stories. Oh, and call mom. She needs something from the store when on your way home from helping father Peter with his altar.
Very cool!!!!!
Beautiful! Rocking on and on and ON!!!! AMEN!!!
cheers to plush band by doing this amazing tribute to the great randy rhoads 🪦 guitar legend
Fantastic Randy Rhoads
I got RR tattoo on my hand when I was 14. I'm 50 now and they still haven't washed off 😂 but I haven't changed my mind on who's the greatest guitarists ever. And yes I still love to play his music 💯❤️
Excellent hosts. Excellent band. Randy is proud. ❤️.
We lost Randy in 1982 and I was 22 that year. I remember it like yesterday!
I studied at Musonia for about 2 years. I’d give anything to walk through the front door and listen to Deloris play the piano again !!
What an honor for Plush.🤘Randy was my guitar God. Saw him live with Ozzy in Sep. '81. I was 15. Life changing the show and Randy's playing was for me. Had tickets to see them again in April '82. Well, we all know the unnecessary and heartbreaking tragedy. That show was postponed a month and Bad Gillis was in the band by then. The world was robbed of the music Randy would have made these past 40 years.
That place has serious MOJO! Watching Moriah doing "Dream Warriors" always cheers me up when times are trying. Plush breaking out is awesome! Congrats.
Hit the road ladies. Good things are around the corner for you.
Love me some Plush. look forward to seeing them on the Slash tour
Legends on the rise meeting legends of the past
I was at the Blizzard of oz tour and saw Randy feb 9 1982. He died a moth later. The concert recording was just released. Thank you for all your music and celebrating a star that was cut short on this earth.
awesome thanks for the trip
Plush , live for the sound , thank you , a life only you can live. :)
Plush you are a great band
Thanks for your sound.😊
What an honor! You ladies sounded great!
I grew up on Ozzy and a Randy. I didn’t really get into Ozzy until a few years after Randy’s passing. But for the next four or five years, it was non stop blaring Randy’s solos and such through my speakers at full volume when the chance arose.
There will never be another Randy! His impact was forever!
Special very special
Very appreciative for being apart of this and having an opportunity to provide plenty music! Rock on! 🤟🏼⚡️💚🤘🏼 Randy Rhoads forever
PLUSH, My new favorite band! That's the way it was done back at the beginning. ROCK ON!!
Sounded great in that open room. Very raw and heavy. I bet you guys had a blast! Thanks for this nice tribute as I know Randy and Delores were watching you.

Long live rock and roll.....
I dig your sound PLUSH! RR Forever! I hope to experience what you gals did someday. Thanks Kelle for being the most excellent host.
What an awesome experience! I'm sure all the plush members got a lot of mojo from Musonia. Diary of a Madman is one of the all time best records. Hail to the memory of RR and to Plush!!!
Wow those girls are rocking ! They sound great actually . :)
Good to see music being played there!!!! Kelle , Love you brother, hope to see you soon
Thank You, Kelle
What a great band, when are you playing in Houston Texas again
Ozzy didn’t deserve the greatness Randy brought him. Randy was pure class!
Ozzy and Randy worked together like one person. Ozzy's suffered a lifetime of guilt and sadness over the loss. Of course he deserved to play with Randy. They created greatness together. After all, Randy needed a vocalist and he got the best in Ozzy.
@@TheJoan48 …history shows all I need to know about Ozzy. Love his music. Terrible person!
So cool, The true story of the Rhoades Family! Born that Way! Inspiration for all musicians. Going right to Plush recordings. I recognize the lead player vocalist.
Me too, she does an awesome cover of Barracuda by Heart.
No 'e' in Rhoads.
This was so awesome, and i found this by accident by finding Plush by accident \m/
Thank you Young Ladys for coming to visit us at the School
🎸🎀🎸💜

That was awesome!
Glad I found this video! This video was such a breath of fresh air compared to all the videos on RUclips that all copy each other. As I musician myself, I found the history so intriguing. Thank you so much for making this video and the girls are awesome musicians!
Absolutely love this!!
Got here by auto-mati-man al-gore-ithm (he says keep recycling by the way) and getting great Randy vibes from the intro and the band coming into the place. You tarts keep on rocking and filing, if that's what you do too (Do people still file?). No, it cut straight into ya'll playing with filing cabs in the room. Memphis here digging it, and I'm in love now by the way, 4 times over if you catch my draft! Iv'e been playing l.gtr and classical originally for 50 yrs this summer, originally taught classical by my now 85 yr old father starting a 7 in 1973. I was riding in my Bronce the day they announced Randy's death with my buddy and it was 3 days after I got my permanent license. I was the consummate fan with the years of playing by that day which made it that much more personal and devastating. I'm still listening to the song start and ignoring the hotness in the room for the sake of the music, sooo I'll get back to you soon guys on another video I hope, if I can find one (or when this aCid kicks in... whichever comes first). Come check out Memphis and play sometime. It's not 'that' bad here... as long as you never leave your hotel room. lol
the site of the plane crash near Clermont Florida should have a monument to him there
These gals deserve so much, a lot of talent in this band!
Plush is a driving force in real rock...They deserve to go global , fame and fortune should be their reward.
I just watched for the tour.
Wonderful. I can't imagine being there. Great sound considering it was set up so fast. Thank you and looking forward to hearing much more.
Wow!!!
FNA!!! Congratulations!!

Just think back when you first started and now think how far you have become in such a short time.

Plush may be one of the best new bands of the last twenty years or more.
This was a great watch! Randy Rhoads was one of my first music heroes, and getting watch my latest heroes (That's you, Plush) visit such a legendary place.... truly epic! And to hold one of Randy's guitars!
Kelle knew if Plush touched the guitar that Randy's spirit would hit the girls and stay with them forever. Thanks, Kelle. You did good.

So agree 💯 with everything you are saying going to be awesome 😎 too see plush 🧸 touring with slash !!!
