@@emergencycarspottergermany5301 they are nice cars. We own a 2014 Ford Taurus SHO with the 3.5L V6 twin turbo EcoBoost AWD with 365HP and it's very quick. The police Ford Taurus interceptor also has two options which is the 3.7L V6 280HP and the 3.5L V6 twin turbo EcoBoost AWD with 365HP. The Ford Crown Victoria discontinued in 2011 but many departments still use them. The Crown Vic has a 4.6L V8 250HP engine and a 4 speed automatic transmission which is slow. It's top speed is limited to 130mph due to the rear axle ratio.

@@emergencycarspottergermany5301 but the Ford Taurus interceptor, Chevy impala PPV, Chevy caprice PPV, and Dodge chargers can all do 150+mph. All have over 350HP.

Sick catch especially getting both the vic and the Taurus. Ngl police departments in CA especially lapd have such nice light patterns but very few lights, imagine what If they had lights all around the car
Why doesn't the LAPD use a priority siren? I have noticed they use only wail & yelp, however, over in Hawthorne they use both priority as well as a rumbler. Wouldn't it be beneficial to use either a rumbler or priority siren in Los Angeles?? Fantastic catch, love your work!

Because for some odd reason, the priority or hi-lo siren isn’t considered a siren by CA law, so CA police cars aren’t included with them.

Majority of cars are equipped with it. Some just don't use it. I've encountered many times where they use it. Especially where I live here in SoCal.

i remember years ago i think 10 or so a irwindale police officer was shot a killed but irwindale raceway. i saw this cop car hauling ass, he must have been going over 100mph easy. he blew several red lights. anyways turns out the cop responding was the father of the shot officer. so sad.

Majority of sirens are based on the brand/company they're contracted with. That's why LA and LV PD are the same or similar.
