I have to be honest..I am not a huge Hip Hop fan..But Atmosphere is just badass...I love the beats, the lyrics...Slug has a flow that cant be matched.
You're just ignorant. Atmosphere is great and I'm assuming you're a rock fan. So imagine if I went to a video from Cold Play and said "I don't really listen to rock, but Cold Play is the best band in the world!"
That's pretty much how you come off. If you think Slug is the only person who flows like this, tells stories like this, or uses these type of beats and this subject matter, you're completely off.

I don't know about y'all, but I like his evolution. The last album was damn near a masterpiece. Thing about it is though, even though he evolves, he still puts out good music. Most artists come out with something a few years later and it's nowhere near what they were known for and is just terrible. (Nelly latest endeavor is a perfect example ms. Porsche) Atmosphere holds true to one thing throughout, making meaningful music. Even his latest all has a message. The sound is different but the core of his music is still there. Good job guys, don't stop til' ya get enough!!
Rumour has it that one time Oloff was sat next to Jar Jar Binks on a flight. Jar Jar kept kicking the chair in front of him and generally being obnoxious, nobody knew what to do. Eventually one of the flight attendants came over and asked Oloff if he would perform one of his songs to calm Jar Jar down, and when Oloff began rapping the first verse to Doing It Stealthy, Jar Jar immediately relaxed. To this day the two are still close friends.

For those complaining about the hook, consider this: the hook is literally the hook in this song, and "you're so bitter, you're cold as a river in the winter" is the bait. Some of you guys took that bait and started criticizing. Atmosphere is rarely one dimensional in their music, so why would a song about people criticizing their music be the first?

I'm gonna go out on a limb and suggest that this song is simplistic and very appropriate considering the stuff it's addressing: the cold and jealous folk, etc. I can't imagine Atmosphere wasting a beautiful melody and deep content on something so wack. But jealousy is nearly impossible to ignore, especially when you are the target. so I think that's why he said "you need an anthem too". :)
The first Atmosphere song I heard. I was a sophomore in highschool in a super toxic abusive relationship. Me and him were with some other friends on New Year’s Eve, driving up a mountain covered with snow to a party. I couldn’t tell if this song sounded like he was talking to me or him. Either way i was hooked. We ended up breaking up the next day. I couldn’t stop hearing this song in my head

Slug has been my idol for a strong 8 years now
I have 4 vinyls signed by slug, ant and plain ole bill. 2 cds And a cassette. I've met slug 7 times ant 7 times and bill 5 times. . Every single time slug gives me my time.
And let's me hug him like 7 times in a talk lol. If him and I are talking. And someone butts in, he keeps his eye contact with me and politely says to the kid "hold on man I'm talking with him."
Its tiny "miniscule" things he does like that, that holds me as a true fan boy. I'm always star struck everytime I see him. (And a little too drunk to be fair) he's my idol in so many things. So forever slug you have a fan, and a person who loves what you produce. Thank you for all you do!
