I'm not the biggest em fan (still like his music) but this is the verse that always clicks with me. Even if it isn't his best verse its definitely his best feature. Off the top of my head rn though I agree, this is eminems best verse. Love this song
Never thought I'd see the day where Eminem raps inside a church... What I like about this song is that although one might assume this song is about both of them losing a best friend (in Em's case, Proof), the song is just a long metaphor about a Higher Power being your Best Friend. In this case, God.

This is a classic, both em and wolf did some of their best work. Especially wolf was noticed on this song. Em always does his thing. Much respect to both artists
saringaclose I mean mainstream music hip hop like not independent or underground artists,i'm referring to jay z kanye or drake, let's not forget that talentless trap garbage like chief queef.
Try Kendrick Lamar he use to rap about gangs and guns but his new album "To Pimp A Butterfly" deals with life problems like being broke or depressed or down or happy
Eminem entire verse shows vulnerability, uncertainty, not big on spirituality until confronted with the death of his own best friend, Proof. That's what makes this song so epic. The wordplay and cleverness, rhyme schemes, how Em dedicates the whole verse to Proof but only mentions him in the context of watching over him while also chilling out with other rap legends in the afterlife. It's beautiful, raw, literally the best things about music.
For all those claiming Em is not in their "top ten?" Listen to this verse. Then try and write something better. Then try and perform it better. Then try and have better vocal phrasing, control, and tension build. Then try and have better word play. Conclusion: You Won't. Em is the greatest to ever grace the pen and mic! Period.
I dedicate this song to a friend of mine who left me forever, he was 25 years old, every time I hear this song it excites me so much with joy that it touches you inside eminem you are always a great singer and a good person at least for me... I'm Italian From Rome❤❤❤
Most people who are suckin Marshall's dick are mostly 15 year old kids. Yelawolf deserves more credit than he is receiving. If it wasn't for him, Em's verse wouldn't ever been created.

+Lumpy Seal Well said man. Its possible to give them both incredible amounts of credit for this track. They both delivered very well and in very different, yet complimentary styles. It is clearly not mostly 15 year old kids who are giving Eminem credit... He has been killing everything he touches. This verse is definitely incredibly.

Ayo I don’t mean to force anything on anyone, but we have various types of evidence for biblical events. If anyone is interested, read on Brothers, what have we done. look at us. look at what we've become. This isn't right. we're wasting time going on about girls and sus drawings that don't give a f*ck about us. What is the point of lust? Why do we do this? This doesn't fix our problems, doesn't make the stress and pain go away. repent to God, friends. We must stay focused, brothers, on what really matters. I'm only 17, but I'm telling you, in the words of johnny cash, "sooner or later God will cut you down." you will lose almost everything important to you. please, for your sakes, repent and turn to Jesus. He is, in the words of Skillet, "better than drugs." He is also better than lust. love > lust. You'll find out that this is true. love may hurt, and same for lust, but lust will keep you chained down, eventually killing you mentally, spiritually, emotionally, and possibly physically. hell was never meant for us, my fellow youtube user. it was for the devil and his squad, and God gave us the Way out of there since we all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. God knew we were wack, but He decided He was still come down and help us, despite our unfaithfulness. most relationships (like friendships, romantic relationships) aren't like this. Very few, but not a whole lot. religion (Christianity) is just a relationship with God along with loving others (see james 1:27) also, we have various types of evidence that backs up the Bible. Here's one example: Scientists have discovered that the earth "skipped" a day. The Bible explains how that happened. In the book of Joshua, Joshua asked the sun to stop so he and the Israelites could defeat their enemies. Then in 2 Kings, King Hezekiah learned he was dying, and pleaded to God to not let him die. God sent a prophet to king hezekiah who said hezekiah would live. Hezekiah wanted a sign, and that would be for the sun to defy the law of inertia and go back 10 degrees. NASA confirmed it and did the math (look it up for more info). We also found Noah’s Ark hanging out in turkey, along with anchor stones marked with crosses signifying that it’s a revered place, along with altars and many other things. Look it up, it’s good stuff. more evidence for the Bible concerning cosmology and divine revelation in job 26:7, proverbs 8:27, Isaiah 40:22 (read on) The idea that the earth was round can be dated back to 600 BC in Greece. It was more widely accepted around the 3rd century (300 BC-201 BC) Note: time was “labeled” differently back then. for example, year 3000, year 420, year 69, year 0, year 1, year 2… and so on. Job 26:7: “. . .He [God] hangs the earth on nothing” The book of Job was supposedly written at 2100 BC. Proverbs 8:27: “. . .when He drew a circle on the face of the deep. . .” Proverbs was possibly written between 970 and 686 BC Isaiah 40:22: “it is He who sits above the circles of the earth. . .” Isaiah was written between 739 and 680 BC. How did they know about this? You tell me, my fellow Zoomerz. The Holy Spirit exists. I was a slave to s3xual sin for 7-ish d@mn years. Finally at 16, God freed me. Also, look up John Gabbana's (boonk gang) testimony. Dude did a lot of wacky stuff. He's changed now. also, the soul exists. someone i know (i won't say who- privacy reasons) saw their soul leaving their body. like pulling off a band-aid, except it doesn't hurt. I was suicidal for 9-ish months, but then I read John 3:16, and poof- the big sad went away in one night. There are also non-Christian sources who have confirmed the existence and divinity of Jesus, some of which were hostile towards Christianity, such as: Thallus (52 AD), who said Jesus lived, was crucified, and confirmed the darkness and earthquake that followed Christ’s crucifixion; Tacitus (56-120 AD), who called the followers of Christ Christians, confirmed that Jesus was crucified under Pontus Pilate’s command Talmud (400-700 AD), confirmed that the disciples were martyred for their faith, and confirmed Jesus was executed the day before the Passover, and said Jesus had “magical” powers Pliny the Younger (61-113 AD), who said that the Christians thought Jesus was/is God in the Flesh (God the Son) Phlegon (80-140 AD), who said Jesus had the ability to predict the future, and confirmed that Jesus was crucified during Caesar’s reign, confirmed Jesus rose from the dead, and confirmed He showed His wounds to confirm He was crucified. Celcus (175 AD), who said Jesus was born of a virgin, said His father is a carpenter, and confirmed Jesus had miraculous powers (See cold-case Christianity for more details) Here’s the physical evidence of Jesus and His Resurrection: 1) No persecution would have started if He hadn’t come back (the disciples thought Jesus would never resurrect) 2) The Roman soldiers would have paid with their lives if they failed at their jobs 3) there was a 2-4 ton rock that 11-12 guys would have to move (they didn’t have any help. Everyone said “crucify Him”) major L to those opposed to Jesus 4) there was a Roman seal which was a metal pin that sealed the tomb stone 5) Stealing the Jesus’s body isn’t something the disciples would do (besides Judas. Although he hung himself after feeling remorse for betraying Jesus). 6) the disciples wouldn’t die for what they knew would be a lie. (The lie being Jesus never made the ultimate comeback) faith and reason, people hit me up to learn more about how science proves the Bible or just about God in general
Torziex because america hates good music and would rather shove whack rappers like Young Thug or Iggy fuckface down our throats rather than good music like this.
Torziex They also say good music stays underground, not on the charts. Guess that's true in this case. Although it would've been good if yelawolf got some recognition for the album he put out.
Scott Smith It's a pity actually. They're constantly promoting all talentless "artists" (though I don't like discriminating music) when at the same time big collaborations like this are taking place and noone bats an eye. This song barely touches 10mil. views while it deserves more than 100mil. (Not implying that the quality of a song is measured in views)

Hello Stranger, I just wanted to tell you that you are a amazing person! I hope you have a great day today, despite the hard struggles in your life... Thank you, and goodbye :)
I hate you, fucking mainstream Eminem fans thinking he is the only good rapper, sure he's great but can we stop talking about no one else but him, there exist other great rappers... And you call yourselves real hip hop heads...
I remember when I was a kid, I used to say that Eminem is the best rapper. But with time, I had the chance to discover many rappers who were better at some point. but I always come to this conclusion, there's no best rapper of all time, and certainly not Eminem or Tupac. there are good rappers, and bad spitters
David Azmy Pac will always be number 1 based off what? Pac didn't have nearly the fan base, sales, or longevity. I love Pac. One of the greatest ever but I know when to chalk up the loss and give credit where credit is due.
"When I walk in the booth, dawg I'm the _truth_ like... *Biggie* rockin' with *2Pac* in a _suit_ talkin' to _Proof_ droppin' a deuce!" That imagery... shivers down the spine. That's why *Em* will always be one of the *3* GOATs of hip-hop.
This song is a treasure. Yelawolf and Eminem's chemistry is perfect here, the subject matter in both of their parts is interesting, Yelawolf's singing is great, and Eminem has the most energetic, passionate, and lyrical performance that I've ever heard from him on a song. Also, the music video does a really good job at reinforcing the song's mood and makes the lyrics hit even harder.
How many artists you know who started off their mainstream career with the greatest artists on the planet bring liked by them and killing the shit with them? Yes, that's Yellawolf.
+Tavish Sharma yelawolf hardly "kills the shit" in this song. Em on the other hand murders it. "Im about to vomit, and I can feel it comin, cause failures something I can barely stomach, and I only listen to my gut so unless you're my belly button dont tell me Nothin" Been listening to em since before he blew up and I cant think of many better lines or verses than this one. I like yelawolf but he under performs in this song imho
Zoro Senpai™ ゾロの先輩 ROFL. Me a hipster. Can't say I've been called that for many decades now. I viewed it because fan of both artists. Heard the words and simply found powerful. If that's this generation's definition of a hipster than, I guess I am
Zoro Senpai™ ゾロの先輩 So, since he simply seen this song because hes a fan of Eminem/Yelawolf that also millions others are (i bet they are all hipsters in your eyes aswell.) hes a hipster? You're illogical.
David Fernando Rosado lol no its not. He's had really good shit. He usually uses his best on songs with other artists. Search speedom he killed that shit.
its crazy how much a 2 minute verse from Eminem talks to you for hours. Push through everyone , you got this regardless of how hard it gets , how tough , you are a fucking beast , get your shit together and keep trying , those who made it aren't better than you whoever the fuck you are.
This is probably the sickest verse Em has ever given us. This is insanity, just look at the ridiculous rhyme scheme, the impact every line has and the energy of the delivery. Absolute fire. Imo this goes up there with 'Till I Collapse.
"I'm the Iggy Pop of hip-hop when I walk in the booth Dawg, I'm the truth like Biggie rockin' with 2Pac in a suit Talking to Proof dropping a deuce Fill up a syllable clip like a refillable script Cock and I shoot" This would be most rappers greatest verse ever. The fact that it's simply one of Eminem's greatest verses tells you why he is, without a doubt the true 🐐!
That's what these migo, mumble, autotune mfs dont understand when they were coming against bone thugs with money instead of skill, who all members happen to be in their 40's today.. When you come in for the love of money(pun intended) instead of the craft- when money is all you have and age catches up to ya, is the craft still gonna be there, are you gonna be the greatest of all time in your 40's, a legend?
Idk man, Pac was just as good if not better. Trust me Em is the G.O.A.T. but would we say the same if Pac was still alive? You have to listen to Pac, he was insane at telling a story in a song.

Absolutely soulful, this is what hip hop needs a new change of pace. This mixture is worth buying his new work of art alone.
Ace Powercolt This shit is soulful? Adam Levine is more soulful than this. Disco fucking Duck is more soulful than this.
Alex Redacted Or you just really like those shitty artists and don't appreciate good hip hop gtfo.
Ace Powercolt theres so many soulfull rap get with the system u listen to one like this and think the game must change it did long time ago
saringaclose I mean mainstream music hip hop like not independent or underground artists,i'm referring to jay z kanye or drake, let's not forget that talentless trap garbage like chief queef.
It's beautiful, raw, literally the best things about music.
kinda gives me a whole other pespective on this track...thank you!

Yeah same. I was honestly thinking kind of the same thing..
This verse by EM is still one of the greatest of all times
for 9 YEARS this has been a great song for everyone to listen to
Eminem is and will always be a fucking legend.
this new generation might disagree with you, but i agree with you.
The new generation is so disrespectful. Eminem is a legend and he has proved it many times
Always
+Martha Solis they're the types to listen to drake lil Wayne young thug desiigner etc
I agree with you, I was born in this generation, but I still know Eminem is a legend
For all those claiming Em is not in their "top ten?" Listen to this verse. Then try and write something better. Then try and perform it better. Then try and have better vocal phrasing, control, and tension build. Then try and have better word play.
Conclusion:
You Won't. Em is the greatest to ever grace the pen and mic! Period.

I know Em was fire, but you still have to give Yela credit. I read the lyrics and they really hit me deep :(
Great song.
Most people who are suckin Marshall's dick are mostly 15 year old kids. Yelawolf deserves more credit than he is receiving. If it wasn't for him, Em's verse wouldn't ever been created.
+IraqUpBeaches If you're going that far then if it wasn't for Em, then none of us would know Yela. That being said, I agree that Yela deserves more credit than he receives. Not just in this song, but all his songs.
+Logan Nowicki Lol yelawolf was still big before he signed on to shady's records .. people need to expand there knowledge on music instead of listening to main stream garbage all the time.
+IraqUpBeaches That was the most cumbersome, redundant and ignorant comment in this video
The beat, piano and Eminem destroying everything around him line up PERFECTLY. Sickest verse of Eminems career

Ayo I don’t mean to force anything on anyone, but we have various types of evidence for biblical events. If anyone is interested, read on
Brothers, what have we done. look at us. look at what we've become.
I'm only 17, but I'm telling you, in the words of johnny cash, "sooner or later God will cut you down."
you will lose almost everything important to you. please, for your sakes, repent and turn to Jesus.
Very few, but not a whole lot.
religion (Christianity) is just a relationship with God along with loving others (see james 1:27)
also, we have various types of evidence that backs up the Bible.
Look it up, it’s good stuff.
more evidence for the Bible concerning cosmology and divine revelation in job 26:7, proverbs 8:27, Isaiah 40:22 (read on)
The idea that the earth was round can be dated back to 600 BC in Greece.
Proverbs 8:27: “. . .when He drew a circle on the face of the deep. . .” Proverbs was possibly written between 970 and 686 BC
Isaiah 40:22: “it is He who sits above the circles of the earth. . .” Isaiah was written between 739 and 680 BC.
There are also non-Christian sources who have confirmed the existence and divinity of Jesus, some of which were hostile towards Christianity, such as:
Thallus (52 AD), who said Jesus lived, was crucified, and confirmed the darkness and earthquake that followed Christ’s crucifixion;
Tacitus (56-120 AD), who called the followers of Christ Christians, confirmed that Jesus was crucified under Pontus Pilate’s command
Talmud (400-700 AD), confirmed that the disciples were martyred for their faith, and confirmed Jesus was executed the day before the Passover, and said Jesus had “magical” powers
Pliny the Younger (61-113 AD), who said that the Christians thought Jesus was/is God in the Flesh (God the Son)
Phlegon (80-140 AD), who said Jesus had the ability to predict the future, and confirmed that Jesus was crucified during Caesar’s reign, confirmed Jesus rose from the dead, and confirmed He showed His wounds to confirm He was crucified.
Celcus (175 AD), who said Jesus was born of a virgin, said His father is a carpenter, and confirmed Jesus had miraculous powers
(See cold-case Christianity for more details)
Here’s the physical evidence of Jesus and His Resurrection:
1) No persecution would have started if He hadn’t come back (the disciples thought Jesus would never resurrect)
2) The Roman soldiers would have paid with their lives if they failed at their jobs
3) there was a 2-4 ton rock that 11-12 guys would have to move (they didn’t have any help. Everyone said “crucify Him”) major L to those opposed to Jesus
4) there was a Roman seal which was a metal pin that sealed the tomb stone
5) Stealing the Jesus’s body isn’t something the disciples would do (besides Judas. Although he hung himself after feeling remorse for betraying Jesus).
6) the disciples wouldn’t die for what they knew would be a lie. (The lie being Jesus never made the ultimate comeback)
faith and reason, people

I always thought that this em verse is one of his best. His wordplay is insane. Jumping in and out of pockets like he does is incredible.
Yessss
It’s epically good.
Why is Yelawolf SO underrated?!
Torziex because america hates good music and would rather shove whack rappers like Young Thug or Iggy fuckface down our throats rather than good music like this.
Scott Smith The truth has been spoken my man...
Torziex Word, man. 100% agree with you.. Even that Iggy Azalea video's gonna get more views than this which his truly saddening :(
I put this verse from Em up against any verse written by any other artist. Show me one that can top this, it's truly incredible writing.
