  • So first of all sand headlight with 1200 grit wet n dry sand paper, keeping headlight wet, sand back, rinse thoroughly and dry.
Tape and cover existing bodywork as needed, clear coat with a light coat first, wait for it to dry or about 15 minutes then go again with another coat .
This video was filmed in a different ratio, for my Instagram channel hence the reason its not very clear, also this is my own car and not a customers car.
If it were a customer's car, I would have taped up during the sanding process also, to ensure I didn't catch the bodywork with the sand paper, I would've also covered the body more to protect from clear coat over spray .
    Thanks for watching 👍🏼

I've done this a couple times, and although it works well, it doesn't last very long at all, maybe a few weeks. If you want it to last, do not use clear coat! Instead, after you're done sanding with fine sandpaper (I used 1000 grit), you'll want to polish it with a good plastic polish or Mothers mag wheel polish, and a foam ball on a drill. When finished, coat it with "Meguiars Keep Clear Headlight Coating" and recoat it once or twice per year. This has worked the best for me!

good video :) Except the end; no need to spray on a clear coat! My garage taught me to use a buffer pad on a drill & finish with a plastic polish to keep the headlights from becoming quickly opaque again.
