Hi i'm from Québec and i just bought one off That dodge sprinter 2006 t1n with 500 km , so since i always listen your vidéo i always learn somthing . Tank you and sorry for my english.
Wow that is a pretty cool way of diagnosing the engine and you have a great ear! I am new to the diesel engines and find it hard to know when the diesel sounds normal or not. But I could definitely tell the difference with the slowed down video. Awesome thanks.
Sadly that video won't be coming. We replaced a piston, honed the hell out of the cylinder and the engine ran great the first two trips. We failed to diagnose the original cause of piston slap, apparently an oil pump or oil jet problem since the engine did not survive trip #3 and pooched a bearing.
I have sprinter van 2006 and it have problem that no one can help me with it has start error with short crank, sometimes it works just fine if I daily start it, and if I didn’t start it for 2 or 3 days the same problem will happen again I have tried a lot of different methods to fix it but nothing works. I’ve changed the crankshaft position sensor and camshaft position sensor, I’ve checked the fuel pump and fuel pressure sensor and it’s all working fine. Can you please help me with this issue Thank you
I have a 3500 use to knock in cold starts and when rpm's went above 3k I replaced glow plugs just because it was also throwing some white smoke after driving it for a couple months knock went away, not sure what happened
Piston slap. It can be fixed but I suggest trying to figure out why your piston started slapping. We fixed the symptoms on this van, but not the cause of symptoms so the problems returned.
Welp! The engine is apart and we can clearly see the problem today. A followup video to this knock will be uploaded soon.
Did the video ever get uploaded? Can’t find it. Thanks!

Customer states:
- I have a chewbacca riding a motorcycle in my engine
I’m hopeful to see this video on how you fixed that noise so I can fix mine aswell

Interesting 🤔. I know it's hard to show on camera but would a automotive stethoscope from harbor freight help? Compare known goods?
I have poked around with my stethoscope and couldn't determine anything worth mention.
thats awesome info

Are you sure that the "creepy noise" isn't just you talking while recording and your voice comes out like that in slow motion?
I remember being quiet for the recording, but to be fair that is one thing I am not very good at. LOL
@@FloridaVanMan hahahaha
possible collapsed lifter, doesn't sound like a rod knock noise

My sprinter is making that same sound

How can I get in touch with you. ? Email? Text? Phone? I am in Florida also. I need a separate a/c unit installed in my van.
