Not what it’s used for it’s not gunna fix knock at all; but it did quiet down maybe the engine coulda been saved BEFORE this stage. i would say it’s more of a preventative thing on older cars even if the manufacturer doesn’t recommend it. That being said newer cars should not need any additive just the recommended oil putting additives in newer cars can lead to more problems then preventing anything.
@@motorcarnut The engine will run longer reguardless of how well it is running still from what you showed in the video this engine will last longer before blowing
@motorcarnut ah yes i had a Mitsubishi lancer with a major oil leak near the injoctors that i didnt know off and i ended up going on a long trip and the sound started then i checked the oil and it was fully empty even tho it was serviced a few months ago. But i traded it today for a mk4 golf
You just seem a little Bias if I'm being Honest. It's not called "Engine rebuild in a bottle" you trying to hide the brand because "There all the same" was Complete bullshit as well. It CLEARLY softened the knock let's be completely honest here. I do the Seafoam like 100-200 miles before doing my oil then I put The reslone Engine treatment And Lucas Engine Stabilizer AFTER oil change. This Always gets the job done for me 🤷🏾♂️. I can confirm "They All" Do NOT work the same. You have a blue bottle so that's the Cheap $3 STP oil treatment. Of course if you put some cheap shit in it won't work lol but Considering it quiet it down a bit it was definitely worth the $3 but OBVIOUSLY this isn't a rebuild kit lol this is just to keep you car on the road
You have a right to your opinion just like I do, let people decide. I’ve used 100’s of these off the shelf additives and none ever worked. I fix many vehicles with the customer using these products as a desperate last hope, I get it but you have to ask yourself why manufacturers that designed and built these vehicles never recommend them?
If EVs ever became mainstream they would be worse and more expensive. Most people think it’s the battery while that very well may be more expensive than a normal combustion engine, EVs also have electric motors sometimes up to four that fail as well. Now you have to worry about much more than you would with a ICE vehicle. Technology is still way off for them to compete in every way against and ice vehicle.
Exactly, they will refund you the cost of the bottle of sealant while it destroyed your engine. Have one right now in the shop for the exact problem, making videos as we speak
Those additives do not recreate the missing/worn metals in the engine.
Bro, that’s what I’m trying to communicate with people and they still don’t get it.
Very good video. This needs to go viral.
Thanks, that would be great 👍

Basically none work on old or new vehicles. That’s my point.
It did lowkey lessen the knock
The point is, it still there and didn’t solve anything.

@flambo1234HD FYI, that engine blew
My car makes the same noise what is it?
Rod knock, meaning the engine was starved of oil resulting to metal to metal contact and ultimately destroying the engine.

That's great, a little more and the car would be worth much with a blown engine.

Why you hide that product engine oil hmm i don't understand something
I’m not paid to advertise any products nor talk bad about a particular one.

now im wondering how cheaper an ev would be to fix when it wont work.

If you can't afford the rebuild, the additive will at least extend the engine life.
Unfortunately it won't.
Save us a $20.00 oil treatment and spend thousands on engine rebuild??
