I began doing impersonations of my grandmothers when I was 12. Today I do the traditional male country singers (Snow, Williams, Owens, Cash, Wagoner, Thompson, Robbins, Van Dyke, Haggard, Horton, Brennan, et al). It's a natural, inborn, intuitive talent that's hard to describe and impossible to teach. All you really need is one incredible, fantastic ear for sound, which this guy has in buckets. I could listen too him all day long, too!
Had the privilege of going to high school with "Johnny", got to enjoy him working on his act back then, especially the Archie and Edith bit. He's parlayed high school fun into a 40+ year career and his classmates at FHS couldn't be prouder.
Jesus.... his Johnny Cash was perfect. This guy is REALLY good. I am amazed and I thought Caliendo was great but man, this guy has some great voices in his bag.
I met him in Sam Ash music one day in river gate TN. He’s a really nice and cool guy. But he does say “ I don’t perform in public” lol. I got a little Archie bunker out of him though
That was great. He tells a story about Merle Kilgore taking him to see Cash for the first time and when Cash saw his impression he loved it but he said "I don't do all that jerking and twitching though" then June looked at John and said "Yes you do!"
I am a lot like Johnny Counterfeit, I sound like all the great older country musicians however I write a lot of originals it would be an honor to be on your show!!
Now, I know he's doing voices that he already sounds similar to but his Reagan was SPOT ON. I mean, his Clinton was great but Reagan.... it was just like listening to the real Ronald Reagan. Well, it was a lot like listening to the real Ronald Reagan. Well.... yep.
Impersonatingis so mutch fun! Espeacialy tributes to be pass famous recording artist. I my self are a Elvis Tribute Artist. And many others. D one it since I was littel bitty boy.tjen begai. Tomake money at the age of 9 years old.Proffesionaly getting into clubs to work 16 with no kind of drinking .18 It really took off touring and sutch. But any way this guy has great tribute talent .love to see him in concert performing some where! His name is catchy .
I can do a pretty good Dwight Yoakam impersonation so I have some basis in saying "That was the worst Yoakam impersonation I have ever heard....ever." The Buck impersonation was ok, but anybody can do Buck....anybody.
Great talent gone way to soon. RIP

His wife, Karen, was my high school class president.

maybe a little exaggeration but it makes it all the more funnier. He's got Johnny Cash down to a science.
most of that video the streets of bakersfeild was filmed in the city of delano ca just north of bakersfield ca
I am a lot like Johnny Counterfeit, I sound like all the great older country musicians however I write a lot of originals it would be an honor to be on your show!!

His hair is certainly counterfeit
dole hargraves will get him if he keeps mocking Dwight!
"Go practice Randy!" Lol
hilarious
Good country singer names: johnny and something to do with money. Johnny cash, Johnny paycheck, Johnny counterfeit.
Funny lol
can't tell if Dan Goodman impression or actual voice...
Does anybody else think his Buck Owens impression is pretty close but his Dwight Yoakam impression sounds like bob dylan?
I agree
His Dwight was not even close
I think it is pretty hard to impersonate Dwight. He has a unique voice.
How do i get a burger there?
easy ,its multiple personalities
The phone on the counter isn't plugged in.
The talking impressions are great the singing one was not so much…
Natural voice could easily do John Goodman
bleugh Dwight Yoakam, had only 2 maybe 3 songs of his own then ripped off anybody that sang from the 40's to the 60's like Johnny Horton.
What was that?????
Not near as good as he thinks he is.
yoakam was awful but buck was decent
American Pride, I think he did Dwight as kind of a joke cause you can tell he’s not REALLY doin it, Dwight really ain’t that “nasally”
He said sometime i like to put them together***
i dont think dwight yoakam would be very easy to impersonate he definitely has a unique sound
American Pride clow
2/3rds in and they're still flapping their jaws, no singing. I'm out.
I can do a pretty good Dwight Yoakam impersonation so I have some basis in saying "That was the worst Yoakam impersonation I have ever heard....ever." The Buck impersonation was ok, but anybody can do Buck....anybody.
Thus is really bad
