- Fun Spot America Atlanta is a former family entertainment center that has had one heck of a glow-up in recent years. The park opened as Dixieland Fun park in 1990 before being renamed Fun Junction USA in 2012. The park started adding some amusement rides and was purchased by Fun Spot in 2017, leading to the name change. And for the 2023 season, the park received one of the world's best roller coasters in ArieForce One! This video ranks their top 10 rides!

Big mystery on what what number 1 will be
What are you talking about? Hurricane Coaster is easily #1
@@bubblegaminglol ay jsal fan
Bumper cars, duh
Kiddie Coaster in guessing
Surprise surprise
Fun fact: The Paratrooper here is a relic from one of my favorite and sadly defunct parks of all time, Miracle Strip Amusement Park in Panama City, Florida. We visited Miracle Strip often when I was a kid, and the Paratrooper was probably my second-favorite ride there in its heyday (the Haunted Castle dark ride being my number-one). It was devastating when the park closed in 2004, but over the years I've seen some of its long-forgotten rides reemerge. I was delighted to hear that Fun Spot had saved this classic - and that it's still got enough oomph to make your Top 10!
I wish I could have seen that park, especially Starliner.
@@CanobieCoaster It was one of those old-timey parks that had a little grit to it because of the age and the budget, but it was so beautiful and nostalgic and energetic at the same time. Starliner was thrilling, especially on the third drop when you went into what looked like a dragon's mouth.
I grew up in the atlanta area and had no clue that this park existed until they announced af1. Have been twice since af1 opened and have had a blast both times.
It really put this place on the map.
Best layout of any coaster
One of the best.
@CanobieCoaster which layouts do you have above it?
Aerie Force one looks as wild as it does look stunning. The backward paratrooper and Single Arm Screaming Swing had me shaken. I would have never expected to ever see anything like those and it's amazing that these two flats are there to ride with Aerie. I wonder how wild NASCAR would be if it had multi-levels.
The backwards paratrooper is particularly rare.
I live by fun spot and man it’s good. I remember driving by while af1 was being built and waiting for it to open. My family likes to go during the weekdays and the park is always never busy. The swing is one of my favs and when we went last there was no one there so we went on it 5+ times to the point the operator stopped having us get off 💀 so it was just over and over. Same with spider and many of the others. It’s such a lovely park and im excited to see where they take it next.
That's awesome that you have it so close.
I love hurricane and the screaming swing when I’m taking a break from arieforce lol
Me too.
The only other 'always in the air' Paratrooper I can remember was at Dorney Park (which, I think, also went backwards, as well as forwards); I don't believe that installation is still there, though I am not certain. (Knoebels also has one, and theirs starts at ground level, though it's forwards-only.)
Silverwood has an always in the air paratrooper still too
I haven't been on enough rides to make a top 5 list. I plan to spend more time and ride more next time.
It's easy to focus on ArieForce now, but I rode a variety in past trips.
Oh what a nice video! I am sure that such afromentioned coaster, that is a top 5 rmc, will not be the number 1 on this list
The number one spot is pretty clear here.
Nice park! Southside 6 flags
Yes it is south of Six Flags Over Georgia.
Alternate Title: Canobie Coaster talks about Arieforce One and Go-Kart's for four minutes and forty-eight seconds
And Hurricane.
I agree with the lineup. Sampson track is a good break to stretch your legs between a few rides on AF1, and hurricane does have its good moments even if it looks janky.
If you could mind control John Arie, and put in your own two rides the park most definitely needs, what would you add next?
A smooth family coaster and an ARM/Larson drop tower.
100% agree. I love drop towers; it would be a great addition to put it in the blue awning right by Samson track.
As for the coaster, that leaves it super open ended, maybe a suspended S&S family coaster such as freedom flyer or dragon flier?
Some people asked you in 2022, which park do you prefer, Fun Spot Orlando or Fun Spot Kissimmee?
Canobie Coaster would say: When Mine Blower isn't horrifically rough...
Yes I said that.
Hurricane was incredibly violent and actually may be the most intense ride in this park. Sea Serpent was one intense little kiddy coaster too, came off laughing and my first dragon head coaster. Bumper Boats deserves to be on here as the only time I was really cool all day, with the bumper cars getting honorable mention if only for being indoors. The go carts are really fun, though noxious. Didn't see the Swing or Wheel run.
Spent more time at Fun Spot than really planned, don't know why I thought could take so little time as to allow getting back over to Six Flags -- it was fine except should have given SF a few more minutes and accepted fate otherwise. Lot more fun than expected, though doesn't have quite the repeat appeal of a more rounded coaster park. I can also see some of these attractions lacking capacity if it takes off, hopefully they can follow through!
Hurricane is definitely wilder than it looks, but I think ArieForce is still easily the wildest ride there.
@@CanobieCoaster Maybe you just need to be more insane to ride it.
I remember it was called Dixieland
Me too.
#3- Arieforce one
A bit higher.
I'm going to it tomorrow and it's also my birthday tomorrow 😊
Enjoy and happy birthday!
@@CanobieCoaster thank you 🙂
They need to invest in more theme park guality rides like a log flume, a real drop tower, a major woodie coaster, etc.
That would certainly help fill out the park.
A launch and invert aswell
@@Aakanw i’m not sure if a park of those size would go for a launched coaster just yet, the maintenance costs would be a nightmare
Some people asked you in 2022, which park do you prefer, Fun Spot Orlando or Fun Spot Kissimmee?
Canobie Coaster would say: When Mine Blower isn't horrifically rough...
A) Orlando.
B) Kissimmee.
B
I honestly didn’t even think they had a double digit amount of rides!
They have added quite a few.
What were your thoughts on Riptide? I have seen how fast it operates with the constant swinging 90+ degrees.
It's pretty fun, but depending on the operator it can be slower or faster. Also I've only every seen the empty cars swing greater than 90 degrees, though you still swing out quite a bit!
What’s that?
@@AmazingElevatorsandClaws It's their Matterhorn ride; the most common ones I see these days are dubbed "Rock N Roll" (and they ain't what the Flying Bobs used to be).
The empty cars swung way further. The loaded ones didn't swing too much.
Hey, I heard there were bumper boats there when I called FunSpot they told me or maybe they were thinking of another fun spot park
They do have Bumper Boats here.
@@CanobieCoaster were they worth it u think?
Me and my mom go to fun spot bigger roller coaster
Love ArieForce One.
What park do you think is better, f.s Kissimmee, or orlando
Kissimmee when Mine Blower isn't horrifically rough.
So what would you rate ArieForce One?
10
You should review wildcats revenge next
Still need to ride it first.
Why did you say "When Mine Blower isn't horrifically rough, Kissimmee"?
What was your favorite thing to do at Fun Spot Orlando and what was your favorite thing to do at Fun Spot Kissimmee?
White Lightning is my favorite ride at the Orlando park. The SkyCoaster currently is my favorite ride at Kissimmee.
Samson? That's a weird name for a go-kart track.
Seems it to me.
My bad
For what?
Before I even watch it -
Look how psychic I am
Hurrican will be number 1 and AF one will be number 8!
j/k
🤣
I think everyone knows what the top spot is before watching.
Maybe I am imagining it, but as amazing as AF one looks overall, the first drop simply looks ordinary to me. Like, just another "first coaster drop". Nothing bad, but not amazing if that makes sense. Just how I see it from videos, before riding. Maybe it's the shape. I dunno.
It's a great drop, just not as great as the ones on other RMCs.
@@CanobieCoaster I guess that's what I am seeing!
