  • ARIE FORCE ONE: Review! Fun Spot Atlanta shocked the roller coaster World when they announced a ground-up completely steel roller coaster in 2021 that would be added to their Atlanta theme park. The roller coaster would cost 13 million dollars and with additional infrastructure, the total investment would be 18 million dollars. Would such a huge addition really make sense for such a small amusement park in the middle of Fayetteville, Georgia? Well, once you ride, you really don't care about the logistics of it all anymore, because this is a World-class thrill ride that is unlike any other RMC. #atlanta #funspot #arieforceone #rollercoaster
    I break it down and give you my final score for this new roller coaster.

    “Aire Force 1 looks too intense for me.”

    This honestly looks like my dream RMC. If you were to ask me to design a IBox model in NoLimits or Planet Coaster, odds are it would look a lot like this ride. Steep drop, crazy inversions, whip, intensity, and thigh-bruising airtime.

      Before I rode this, I was skeptical of the ending due to the reviews on it.. To my surprise, it actually doesn’t really hurt. It’s the best part of the ride for me to just absolutely throw my arms up into the air.

    This seems like a level-headed review and not sensationalized. A lot of enthusiasts get swept up in the hype, but this review gives a good breakdown and is helping me see why it's better than I originally thought. I agree that the intensity of RMC airtime is the make or break characteristic for their layouts that divides rider's opinions, so I also agree with you in that I prefer sustained airtime to quick spikes. The "quad down" they were aiming for (which ended up being 6 "jumps") doesn't look as satisfying as Lighting Rod's which has a mix of banking and direction changes. They could've done a wall-stall/wave turn here to give some sideways zero-g that would've given another unique moment that's floaty and exciting and not painful.

    Nice, level-headed review. This looks really good overall, but it seems like it's going fast enough at the end that they could have done something more interesting than a bunch of little bumps.

    This is my number 1 and I am going back to Fun Spot the day after tommorow! And this time my dad will get to come with us and ride, and his current #1 is Iron Rattler so I guarantee this will be his number 1!

    I've yet to ride this, but your criticism of the ending reminds me a lot of how I feel about the finale of Untamed. And at least Untamed has a barrel roll at the end to mix things up.

    That heart line roll near the end looks very similar to the one removed from Maverick when that first opened.

    • @ItsDannyRobbins
      @ItsDannyRobbins Год назад +2

      Maverick's removed roll was improperly profiled, and rotated the train and riders around the track. You can see in clips of the test cycles how the riders would have been violently pressed into their restraints.
      This roll is properly shaped so its track rotates around the chest height of the riders.

    I'm so happy they built this 20 min from my house. This ride is incredible. It isn't gwazi and I don't think it can compete with Steve either, but I love the pacing, love the intensity, love the inversions. Great ride

    I agree. The ending was too much. I actually enjoyed it more in the morning before it heated up. But I still loved the ride, way more than I thought I would.

    But again, no theming... Why American theme parks are so afraid to themed a roller coaster? They just plop it on car parks, I don't get it; theming add so much to a coaster :(
