    This is really good news. I'm happy to hear about places like Fun Spot America and COTAland that are effectively increasing the number of amusement parks available to visit. And add in some other up and coming parks like Lost Island and the Matel park and it means that this ever growing country will have more and more attractions to spread out the fun and lighten the lines across the board.

    I think it’s important to remember that this is the very first hybrid done by Joe instead of Alan. As such, it should be expected expected that the ride is slightly more inconsistent than typical RMC’s, like the first drop being pretty mild while the finale being a little too intense. I can imagine Joe felt quite a bit of pressure to try and live up to the sky-high standards that Alan has set. As such, the finale was probably Joe trying a little too hard to blow people away. Not criticizing the guy one bit, he’s insanely talented and it’s totally natural. He’s already gotten a lot of things, like the stall, the speed hill, the big outward bank, and the rolls, down perfect, and I can imagine the future rides he designs will be even better than the ones Alan did. I just feel like this should be considered when forming your overall opinion on this ride.

    After this summer season, I wouldn't be surprised if they added a trim before the quad down. This thing is only getting started and just watching the footage alone, it looks absolutely insane. Hopefully I can get down and ride it before any potential changes are made.

    • @KrimsonStorm
      @KrimsonStorm Год назад

      Honestly they have like 10ft of space from the top of the hill to the first brake, just spacing out those brakes a bit more would help with the gradualness of the brake run.
      I just hope they don't put a trim on the big drop before the arcade roll, because of the flatness of the track. I doubt they would put it there but you never know

    • @mylesmcarthur642
      @mylesmcarthur642 Год назад +3

      They will have to do some sort of modification because the higher speed at which the trains enter the final break run in the afternoon was causing it to fault in only 80 degree weather, I think a weak trim on the first ascent of the quad down would be ideal, a higher friction wheel compound also seems likely.

    I agree with your whole review, Taylor. I got a dozen rides on it on a very rainy Monday, and one of those rides was in the row behind you. This was my 650th coaster and I thought RMC is still killing it, but the ending was too repetitive and a little painful. I think AF One will draw more visitors to FS Atlanta, but it will help the chain even more by getting nationwide publicity and helping to sell more 3 park season passes. It will take awhile to get a return on that 18 million dollar investment, but if the chain sees increased profits, then I can see them doing a small expansion in Atlanta within a few years. They could use a relocated coaster or two, maybe even a new Chance Hyper GTX. That would make it a more complete park and more like the other Fun Spots. It was great meeting you and Sarah, it was nice having someone to talk coasters with in an otherwise empty park!

    I finally got out to ride this yesterday and it was really fun and nonstop action. We got 21 rides on it and we were surprised at how amazing row 6 was. I am not normally a middle of the train guy but it was amazing on this one IMO. It kinda gives you the best parts of the front and back and IMO the stall is the best in this row! This is the first ride that isn't an invert that gave me the whippy feel of a B&M invert. RMC is just knocking homerun after homerun... PLEASE CAROWINDS... RMC next and make it a ground up one, not another Hurler topper.

    Definitely agree with the brake run being too much. Finale was very enjoyable for me, but my thighs were absolutely trashed by this ride when I marathoned it for the last hour the park was open when I was there. Depends on if you care about how brutal the airtime can be. The finale may not be someone's cup of tea, especially if you haven't been on as much rides as a long time enthusiast. The roll's and outer banked hill between them Is probably my favorite part of the ride, neck and neck with the airtime finale though. Had some back pain for the night & the day after and I'm pretty sure that's from the brake run 🤣

    i think the first two hills on the chili dip/quad down should have been a trick track double up then into a double down so 4 airtime moments instead of 5 so you could also increase the length of the brake run

    It's time for RMC to work on their trains and their restraints. They are great in track design, but the competition caught up. I feel they are so much behind Intamin, Mack and Gravity Group with seat comfort. It would be 10/10 ride if they had Intamin trains.

    This is my 4th RMC credit . I’m debating on it being my second or third favorite currently I’m 1. Iron Gwazi 2. Lightning Rod 3. Aireforce 4. Goliath … That quad down and break run is what makes me not want to put it over Lightning rod but everything is else is so good that I don’t know

    I'm just hoping that Fun Spot is able to properly maintain the ride. It looks great now, but I'm curious to see what the condition of the ride will be even a few years from now.

    I’ve been going to the fun spot parks since the mid-2000s and it is truly hilarious to me that an A-List coaster like this was just plopped in the least developed of the fun spot family of parks. I hope this is successful so that maybe they work with RMC more in the future. I’d love to see fun spot orlando get a raptor

    The hills were fine, it was that final slam into the brakes that really hurt on the first ride. I was also in last row, and it wasn't as bad when i was in the front row. it was also pretty hot outside and later in the day

  • @Hangtime_Davi64

    My problem with the quad-down is that the airtime is too short. It feels like less than half a second of airtime on each hill. It is incredibly powerful airtime (maybe too powerful), but each pop is too short before you get slammed back down into your seat. I definitely couldn't keep riding after my third ride, and it's sad than an element that didn't even feel fun is what did me in. Everything before that moment was awesome, though.
