The Hymns Project arose from a desire to blend together the beauty and goodness of traditional songs with the power and passion of the modern worship movement. Drawing from the rich treasury of hymns, we seek to give joyful and fresh voice to these well-known expressions of praise in a way that can unite the Body of Christ across generations.

Referencing the “Ebenezer” or “Stone of Help” found in 1 Samuel 7:12, this song from the mid-18th century still captures the plea of every pilgrim for God’s protection and help on the way to our heavenly home.
Seeing a woman with a veil and base is the perfect "Tradismatic" look.
I know it's not Christmas, but I can't stop listening to this
PRAISE OF GOD'S LOVE IS NOT CONFINED TO CHRISTMAS
SOOO beautiful! I love the way this is portraying worship within the Catholic Church... God is so good and worthy of our worship in every moment, in every way!!
Both the lyrics of this song, and the way it’s presented contradict the beauty of true catholic worship.
Amen!! Thank you 😊❤️

There are 2 major things wrong with this video.
1. Come thou Fount was a hymn written from a Calvanist perspective. For an example in the third verse of this hymn compares the grace of God to constraints. As Catholics we do not see God’s Grace as a fetter or handcuffs. Rather God’s Grace is presented to us by Christ and it is up to us whether or not to cooperate with his grace. Any lyrics that contradict the Church’s teaching do not belong in any Catholic Church.
2. Modern Worship music is not the beauty of Catholicism. Nor does it have any place at a Catholic mass. Some of it may be good to listen to outside of Mass if you are looking to keep your mind focused on God. But it does not belong in church. Traditional hymns should be sung with grace, reverence, and humility. When I watch this video, it appears more like an evangelical church service rather than the beauty of our Catholic liturgy. Guitars, jumping, arm flailing, ect do not show the fullness and beauty of the Catholic faith.
I pray that you will consider these points as you continue to post music.

if you want to understand BIBLICAL WORSHIP as practiced by the Israelites, the prophets of old, the first century Nazarenes, then study the whole Psalms. you will find not merely one form of expression of human emotions and not just singing.
all types of musical instruments
clapping of hands
shouting
dancing
David, the man who was after God's heart, the Psalmist, he is acknowledged by God to be the teacher of true worship to God
This version is giving me anxiety. The constant thrum of instrumentals, there is more beauty in simplicity, and quiet moments, even in your quiet part of the song the thrumming caused a sensitivity that is not soothing.
Please remember that the position of the choir is not to put on a show. It's to give praise and glory to God and not distract from his presence.
Completely agree with you. Along with that it’s also good to point out that this very song is a contradiction to church teaching.
It’s blasphemous to compare the Grace of God to a fetter or a constraint.
@@mikecapeci488"For this reason I, Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus for the sake of you Gentiles" Ephesians 3:1 NASB,
"As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received" Ephesians 4:1 NASB
I guess St. Paul was also a blasphemer if comparing oneself to being chained to God is considered blasphemy ...? It's one thing to disagree with the style the song was recorded in, but to call out blasphemy for this particular tune is quite a far stretch.
Let us remember 2 Samuel 6..."David and all the house of Israel danced before the LORD with all their might, with singing, and with lyres, harps, tambourines, sistrums, and cymbals." Have you ever felt like dancing before the Lord? I agree that the Liturgy may not be the proper place for dancing but in our hearts we do and this video was not during Liturgy. We do appreciate your comments, Kristen.
They are not performing for man, they are giving worship to Jesus. I'd rather see young people worshipping and honoring the Kings of Kings and the Lord of Lord's than living like and for the devil (Satan) and the spiritually dead world were in. Instead of cursing them because it doesn't fit your style or manner pray for them to lights in the world for Jesus Christ! Our young people need this so bad!
