- Hell yeah!!! After 5 long months, and all the trials and tribulations that come along with a full chassis swap/build, our 1953 Ford F250 is complete! Watch as we put the finishing touches on her.
Awesome Job!!
No question…….
Coolest 50’s Ford on RUclips
Very inspiring…..
Thank you. I have always been a big fan of the 50’s GM trucks but I can’t stop staring at this thing. I sure looks good
CNY isn't the same without you. Glad to see you doing well, and love watching the videos.
Oh man, I sure do miss you guys too. Hope to get back there to visit again soon. Thank you for checking out our videos.
Boy Do I Love What You Have Done With This Old Ford Truck... I've Got a '53 Cab that I'm Slowly Putting Together Myself... Thanks for Sharing
That’s awesome man! That’s what it’s all about. Message me when you get it done. I’d love to see the final product!
@@ridgerunnergarage You Bet!... 351 Cleveland and C-6 Transmission
Awesome job like all ways!! I just Love how your wife helps you in the garage! I can't get my wife to even come down to my shop! 😂 Looking forward to seeing what's coming!!
She’s definitely involved in every project and video beginning to end. Truly couldn’t do it without her. I feel like I won the lottery with her!
Nice build, I really like the way you did the flipping front end...
It’s flipping awesome right?!? 😂😂😂
Awesome job now you both can drive one bring it back up to Cicero so we can look at it.
Hoping to make it up there this summer. Thank you for watching!
Great job Brorher! 5 to 6 months is not a bad turn around considering you work full time and have other projects going on simultaneously😳
Thank you. If I didn’t do the air ride it would have taken half the time. Lesson learned. Can’t wait to get building something else
My dad has a 53 f250 as well on a bmw chassis and a turbod LS in it and it's drift built. I saw this and just thought it was awesome that someone else built one too
Thank you for checking out the video . I keep thinking of doing another old truck chassis swap on a Euro or Japanese car. It’s a great idea you don’t see very often.
@@ridgerunnergarage yeah man for sure, I just bought a xb and i wanna turbo it but don't know where to start
I actually did a turbo kit on a XB a few years ago. I think it was a eBay kit. Drill and tap the oil pan for the oil return and had to make my own inter cooler mount. Otherwise a easy install. Best of luck with your project.
@@ridgerunnergarage thanks man, same to you!
Came out great, nice job.
Thank you! Definitely appreciate you watching! 😎
I have a 1971 and 1957 Ford F100, you can put the Explorer frame on it?
I think the ‘57 is a bit larger than my ‘53. A lot of guys are doing Crown Vic swaps on the bigger Ford trucks. The Explorer has a smaller frame that works good for the older trucks.
Consider a light char from a torch on the bed, then a coat of stain or oil.
Good point. We were actually leaning in that direction but we knew we were selling it once it was completed so we decided to keep it neutral for the new owner to customize.
Looks Great! What an awesome job!
Thank you Melissa! 😁
I have a 93 Ford E150 Club Wagon Van 5.8L. The body is in really good shape. Would you happen to know what pick up truck I can get used, cheap, that I can have the body of my van,put on the trucks chassis without MAJOR issues.?
laquer thinner but it will melt your plastic on the handle but works great on metal surfaces
Thanks for the heads up.
Now you need to chop the top about 3 inches
We’ll chop one of our projects soon but I’m 6’3” so….
Truck looks great, why didnt go with an over the counter wax?
We’re planning on selling the truck and we wanted to give the new owner the option of clear coating it or leaving the original patina.
DDDDAAAAAAMMMMMMMM SSSOOOOOONNNNNN AWSOME JOB
Thank you man! Love that reaction! It was a long 5 months but it was worth all the headaches once you get in and take her for a spin. Thank you for watching!
How long does it take for the oil to dry? By the way, bad ass truck 🔥 🔥
Thank you. It takes a few month if it’s inside, but it will start to fade away in a few weeks if it stays out in the sun. You can also wash it off with dish soap. Since this we tried Poppy’s Patina. It looks fantastic! 😎
What year and make of frame did you use and will it work on a 52 chevy 3100 stepside?
I used a 97 Ford explorer. I would recommend using a s10 for the 52. Depending on if you give you own drivetrain you can use most mini truck chassis
How do i get in contact with
You can message me on instagram @ridgerunnergarage. I don’t check it every day but I will definitely keep my eye out
@@ridgerunnergarage damn don't got Instagram do u use wgatsapp

I honestly do not I would say there probably alot of older vans around on marketplace. You could probably get something similar to the year of yours
